I agree, they feel so complete with this comeback. They feel full and truly like 1 complete group. And that’s not to say that Batter Up wasn’t a fantastic song in terms of group cohesiveness (trust and believe I still blast that song to this day), but with Sheesh, it does feel like a true debut now that all 7 of them are together again.
YG said that Ahyeon was like a warrior with so many weapons. Ahyeon was born to want to be the best and to lead by example. But in a group packed with so much talent being able to lead by example equals a burnout. Don't forget she could not debut due to illness. I think she hurt her vocals reaching consistently for those High vocal range to match or better the vocal talent of Rami and Pharita. Ahyeon trained for 5 years as a rapper singer with the occasional High note for colour. The switch up to High level vocalist only occurred in the last evaluation. Great watching but for sure High risk as she did not debut with the other girls. Great to see her back.

The way I had the EXACT emotional rollercoaster listening to SHEESH (and watching the MV) is incredible. Like you, I didn't know how most of the song is gonna sound like, so the piano intro was such a surprise for me, and then the whole mutherfwkking second verse from which I am yet to have recovered, and the beautiful bridge of course. And then like I did suspect there will be a part in the song that is gonna have a beat change cuz the mv teaser teased the "baby I'm a monster" bit, but OH BOY I did not know how hardhitting it's gonna be, and for the whole outro. I agree with almost everything you commented, about the Ahyeon hype and aura, about the while "official debut" feel for it, about ASAAAA
I think YG‘s point with Ahyeon is that she’s the one that can do it all. Ruka and Asa are unbelievable rappers and dancers. Rami, Pharita, Chiquita, and Rora are all phenomenal singers and dancers. But Ahyeon is the only one who can do it all. Then you add on top of that her relaxed stage presence and confidence, and you can see where he was coming from. Even in the evaluations, Ahyeon was taking a leadership role. She is the glue. And then you add on top of that her incredible discipline with how she works out every day doing 800 sit ups, etc., and you can see why YG said that she is the leader, even though they are all supremely talented.

I was completely amazed at this! My expectations were far far exceeded! So creative, so original, so captivating, just so good! Notice the two cochlea (spiral ear canals) on the walls behind rapping Ahyeon (!!) and Ruka, and also that they “rev” the two dirt bikes on the side walls during your bias Asa’s amazing rap! Not 5 (YG’s 1st announced members), not 7 (members), but 10 out of 10 (score/flex)! They ARE on a roll…Rolls-Royce Ghost that is! I think Ahyeon being said to be most talented is that they (mentors, etc.) know she’s incredible and that she has even more!The pros can see it and want to help her go even more into the stratosphere 👍. Babymonster has always been very good but Ahyeon's return makes them next level. She adds the element that was missing. This was incredible! YG said full album in the fall so perhaps 4-6 months. The girls will be doing a lot of fan meets, music show performances, and other promotional activities starting in April.
We all want BABYMONSTER to have their own colour, so no one can call them a 2.0 of anyone! As a Blink, I really want BABYMONSTER to have their own concept which screams MONSTERS! And Sheesh is the perfect theme and concept of BABYMONSTER core! The haunted, scary and horror background with music combines together! Their styles was so different and new, makeup and everything! That rap line? Oh they slapped me in the face. There’s no top tier vocals and rappers these days until BabyMonster debut. Esp the ending was so good, it’s like a Monsters party and the harmonies reminds me of scary harmonies singing in horror movie! 10/10 this official OT7 debut! I think Batter Up is good to be posted first cuz YG can have some fans opinion, and improve!🤘❤🤘

I really feel you on Ahyeon. For me personally, I knew she had the skill but in the group performances in the Evaluation it felt to me that her voice and the fact she had high vocal parts is why she would catch me attention but not her direct performance and stage presence. When i saw her solo with "Dangerously" , I felt an overwhelming amount of star power. So I thought, huh? Does she just get swallowed in the group presence, but THIS...this MV made me see the light. No yea, she is a perfect center that ties the group together. I also think Chiquita has that same center energy because I felt she was the center in Batter up. This is so weird but in this group I feel like there are two possible centers instead of just one. In this MV it was Ahyeon. I wonder if there will be a comeback in the future where both Chiquita and Ahyeon feel like the center at the same time or will it just be like it is now, where one feels like the center over the other.

Personally I think the verses are good, rap verse in particular is great, really enjoy the prechorus and bridge too but I do not like the chorus, I don't know exactly what it is about it (I think it may be the instrumental) but it just takes me out of the song completely and I loose interest til the verses come back in. I don't like the outro either, it just leaves me feeling completely deflated. I appreciate they tried something a little different but it's not for me I'm afraid. I would have prefered "Like That" to have been the title as I think that's a much, much better song but I get why this one was the choice. Honestly I'm just glad we finaly have an official release of "Dream", it's such a good song and I've been wanting to have it on repeat since I first heard it.
The specific gripes with Sheesh seem to be one of the two most common reactions, even these months later. (with the other one being "omg omg I love it") And all the people who say that usually say they like "Like That" better overall. I wonder what it is about the transition and sonic qualities of the chorus and end. For my part, I actually think the very very end should have just trailed off into a whisper chant or something totally weird that fit the vibe of the song.
