I've tried so many times and I still suck at drawing
But, overall, this is a nice tutorial. I just wish I could learn quicker, maybe if I do this enough I'll actually succeed?
What I'm struggling with about it: Shapes, I suck at drawing the correct sizes and everything. Details, I'm having a hard time following the instructions for any details, especially when it comes to the legs.
Any tips?
Hello, it really is about practice. If you’re struggling with shapes, start off super simply by doing these really easy ones then once you feel confident, return to this tutorial. VERY EASY cartoon animals

I like this tutorial, but as with several others I have been watching today, I miss a simple explanation to why we start with the round shapes. I get that it makes up the general shape of the animal, but I would like artists to explain the importance of this. None of the artists says anything other than "first we draw two circles" or " we start with this oval". We learn more by knowing more, not just by being told "do this".
I sometimes teach carpentry to younger people, and I always make sure I make it very clear why we do the things we do.
But, I really do like this video 😊
Thank you for your comment. It’s a good question- I use simple shapes to ascertain the size and proportions of different parts of the composition of a drawing. It helps me to make sure one part is out of proportion to the other and also if it will fit into my page. It’s easier to erase simple shapes than to start drawing detail then having to rub it out if it’s too big/small. Hope that helps ☺️

My attempts went like this
Attempt 1 : Too long.. looked like lizard
Attempt 2 : The rear looked like a cow.. too fat
Attempt 3 : I ended up with the face of a Godzilla
Attempt 4: .. Got it somewhat resembling a horse .. but a beat up one..
I will keep at it

@Ivan Hernandez I used a font generator then just copied and pasted it into the name thingy.
There are a whole bunch of generator things all with different fonts, but this is the one I used for my name.

Just checked your site. Do you have tutorials that are a bit more realistic? I have only been drawing since mid Jan. 2020 I love how you explain things, but I think I maybe a bit more advanced now, especially with face drawing and scenery but not great yet!
