Fly Fishing The James River in Missouri

If you find yourself in the Branson, Missouri area...needing a little fly fishing time, then look no further than the James River. The James flows in a southwesterly direction north and west of Branson...the nearest town is Galena. I think you will enjoy this beautiful river placed smack dab in the midst of the Ozarks. My time on this day was cut short due to a pretty severe thunderstorm that was packing a lot of lightning. Along the way you can see that there is quite literally thousands of rocks and boulders to give ambush fish like smallmouth a place to take up residence and wait for an unsuspecting streamer to pass by. If you push the barb of hook down then you'll be able to release fish better. Us fly fisherman do that for the Fall fishing. Great video.

Is this a streamer that you tie Jeff, if so could you do tutorial on it. Have you used that on the Niangua by Bennett? Thanks for a great video!
