14:00 This is NOT a dessert. It's a sweet bread that just happens to have custard on top, and we have it with butter and coffee - almost never plain. It's called "rosca".
About the bread, we usually don't eat it as is, we cut it in half and use some spread, like requeijão (a type of spread cheese), nutella, or even simply butter, to give it some wetness. Without it the bread would feel too dry. If you want something with mofe filling, buy a "sonho" (dream).

Good morning! I'm already subscribed to the CHANNEL. Dude, you make a difference when traveling with a tuk tuk. Awesome 🥂👋👋👋👋I'm Brazilian, and welcome to BRAZIL. Beautiful country and WONDERFUL people... Marcus/FortaleCITY
So far El Salvador is the safest country in the americas competing with Canada. Be careful when you get to California there are places that are not safe, you'll need to be extra careful, and when you get north get bear repellent! you don't know when you're going to need it. Good that Patti will alert you! Great videos man!
A friend here in Brazil also steals dogs. It made me anxious when I saw your dog alone outside. Here in Curitiba there are establishments that allow entry with dogs.
TH-cam recommended your channel to me today. It's crazy to ride a tuktuk across America, this type of vehicle is not at all common here. And it's funny soon he'll be passing through my city, Florianopolis
Bro one tip, better to drink mate and guaraná in the morning. Specially guaraná, if u drink it in the evening like that you are gonna have trouble sleeping, the guaraná seeds have much more caffeine than regular coffee.
Welcome to Brazil, today I discovered your channel and I will follow you on this adventure through my beautiful country Brazil. I am from São Paulo SP and I will be very happy when you appear in my beautiful and chaotic country.
TH-cam recommended your channel to me today. I'm loving watching you travel around Brazil! I'll definitely watch your videos all the way to Alaska! I'm Brazilian and live in the state of São Paulo.
So, I'm Paulista but living in London, otherwise I'd invite this Aussie for a beer, but you should invite him for a beer num buteco com calabresas e torresminho !! abracos
The first route you drew on the map is not "mountainous". It may have more traffic, yes, but both sides of the lake are "floodplains", or low, flat terrain, slightly undulating at most. In any case, the formerly called "estrada do inferno", (literally "Road to HelL) so called because it was unpaved and the ground was sandy, was an ordeal for any vehicle. Fortunately, today the initial stretch of the BR101 is very good. In fact, if I had to choose, I would choose to take the ferry, as you did. I think the landscape is better, and the "tuk-tuk" is more pleasant. Have a good trip.
Great channel man... but the idea of getting the coastal road wasn't the best. Of course you didn`t know, but the state's southern coast is its least developed area - also the major highway inland is safe, express and also scenic. Btw, you shouldn't worry about safety in the countryside and small/medium cities (specially in souther Brazil). Btw, impressive how the city of Rio Grande is still recovering from the floods. And a pitty you missed Porto Alegre, such a lovely city.
Next time you get to a padaria.. Buy yourself a c Sonho.. They are my fav custard sweet.. More like a sugar powdered doughnut cut in half with custard in the middle
The bread you ate has low custard because people usually cut it to put butter or something in the middle. If you want something with a lot of custard, you should ask for "sonho" (the translation is literally dream), it's really good.
It's a shame to be passing through Brazil at such a critical time in terms of climate, as we are experiencing records of fires and high temperatures like never before seen in a winter here. If you come to São Paulo, get to know the interior of the state. Get to know Botucatu and you will be welcome.
Hey man, brazilian here from Rio Grande do Sul. Since you are traveling by the coast, there are good camping places in the beach cities, and you could also book an airBnB. Up to Santa Carina, it is relatively safer for you to travel, but seeing your videos I could tell that you already know your way through Latin America. Safe trip.
Another one following your trip! Have a great stay in Brazil! Unfortunately, we are having a period of fires, but I hope it gets better soon. On a future trip, also visit the northeast of the country.
Next state you'll be travelling is Santa Catarina, nice beaches, you should go to Florianopolis, with Joaquina Beach for the surfing world champioship calendar. You should spend some time in Floripa, around the island, different beacches and nature reserves. A little bit north you have CAMBORIU, like Punta del Este, tourist place and In Blumenau you can participate in the OktoberFest, 2nd biggest beer festival in the world, after Oktoberfest of Munique/Munchen. .
Electric showers are typical of Brazil; it is a cultural thing! Even my in-laws I couldn't convince to swap for a gas heater. For snacks, you should try Esfirras; they are delicious!
Your videos are so cool man! If you pass near South-west of Parana state and you need a place to stay, just send a message! A quick tip, as you pass from parana to sao paulo, or basically as far you go to the north, it can start being a little dangerous in some areas, so take care!
Thanks, mate! I Wasn’t expecting this today… thanks for the present ❤. Keep it this way. You’re a legend. What a day, what a day! Greetings to Patty. The more northern you’ll go, the less they will understand your Spanish. In that case try with your English. I could be surprised 😉
I suppose you would find the mountains of southern Brazil beautiful. Gramado is very touristic, so it depends of your taste But there are dozens of beautiful German and Italian settled small towns as well as bigger ones, vineyards that resemble Tuscany, canyons, although SOME of them have difficulty roads so your Tuk Tuk may not be able to face them.
Hey Ryan, glad to see tou finally made it to Brasil (we love when we see it written with the S instead of the Z 😬). Hope you have a nice adventure in the southern region! In major cities, you might have a better time communicating in English than in Spanish. But glad to see Spanish is being useful!
Beautiful journey my friend. What that being said, I know you have your schedule to keep, but I wish you could extend your journey up on Brazil's 101 up until Espírito Santo and do a quick stop at the giant Buddha (the largest in the Western hemisphere and second largest in the world).

So far El Salvador is the safest country in the americas competing with Canada. Be careful when you get to California there are places that are not safe, you'll need to be extra careful, and when you get north get bear repellent! you don't know when you're going to need it. Good that Patti will alert you! Great videos man!
Repelente de urso é uma boa arma?
A friend here in Brazil also steals dogs. It made me anxious when I saw your dog alone outside. Here in Curitiba there are establishments that allow entry with dogs.
TH-cam recommended your channel to me today. It's crazy to ride a tuktuk across America, this type of vehicle is not at all common here. And it's funny soon he'll be passing through my city, Florianopolis
Another successful day of adventure. Congratulations!
So, I'm Paulista but living in London, otherwise I'd invite this Aussie for a beer, but you should invite him for a beer num buteco com calabresas e torresminho !! abracos
Read the manual of the torito for the exact model, maintance oil, recommend rpms for speed changes etc
Your channel is really cool, I'm learning English with you. Thank you.
Lol. Get used to those showers my friend! It'll be either that or a cold one all the way to Mexico 😂
If you come through Paraná, Londrina you're more than welcome in our place. Following your journeys! Good Luck
Next time you get to a padaria.. Buy yourself a c
Sonho.. They are my fav custard sweet.. More like a sugar powdered doughnut cut in half with custard in the middle
brazilians always empathize with gringos in our country
13:42 if you like custard you have to try a dessert called *SONHO* in Brazil, that is the one with custard.
Absolutely love it!! Thank you for sharing!! What an amazing journey!! Vamos Vamos Vamos ❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
The bread you ate has low custard because people usually cut it to put butter or something in the middle. If you want something with a lot of custard, you should ask for "sonho" (the translation is literally dream), it's really good.
12:21 kkkk u said "i'm so hendsome" kkkk
beware the deep fries dishes! kkkk nice trip, im from brazil and i'm enjoying your discoveries!
electric showers usually drain 5.000 to 6.000 watt.... but never ever move the temperature button when there is water passing trough the device...
@@arquivoyager2010 yes, don't touch when operating
No problema
That soda is so 🔥 always get it at Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse
Oii! Loving your videos Ryan. 🇧🇷
It's a shame to be passing through Brazil at such a critical time in terms of climate, as we are experiencing records of fires and high temperatures like never before seen in a winter here. If you come to São Paulo, get to know the interior of the state. Get to know Botucatu and you will be welcome.
You gonna be in love with Brazil.
Safe trip.
OG Ben Brown Vlog vibes , totally digging follow along your journey
Since you are in the south, you should go check the serras, very beautiful places
curti demais! quero acompanhar essa jornada kkkkkkkk
Buenas tche ,passou perto da minha cidade Canguçu city.
apareceu hoje teu canal e ja estou ti acompanhando e bem vindo ao BRASIL.....
Nice man.
Welcome to brazil 🎉🎉
Always good to watch
Thanks, mate! I Wasn’t expecting this today… thanks for the present ❤. Keep it this way. You’re a legend. What a day, what a day! Greetings to Patty. The more northern you’ll go, the less they will understand your Spanish. In that case try with your English. I could be surprised 😉
This entire region was flooded by water, more than 2 meters high, perhaps some places were destroyed.
I suppose you would find the mountains of southern Brazil beautiful.
Gramado is very touristic, so it depends of your taste
But there are dozens of beautiful German and Italian settled small towns as well as bigger ones, vineyards that resemble Tuscany, canyons, although SOME of them have difficulty roads so your Tuk Tuk may not be able to face them.
Hey Ryan, glad to see tou finally made it to Brasil (we love when we see it written with the S instead of the Z 😬). Hope you have a nice adventure in the southern region!
In major cities, you might have a better time communicating in English than in Spanish. But glad to see Spanish is being useful!
I recommend in Colombia, huila, anda Agustín archeological park and tacos desert
Welcome to Brasil!
Beautiful journey my friend. What that being said, I know you have your schedule to keep, but I wish you could extend your journey up on Brazil's 101 up until Espírito Santo and do a quick stop at the giant Buddha (the largest in the Western hemisphere and second largest in the world).
Crushing it my man! When you get to sao Paolo you should go to trindade! Such an epic little town to visit
Your trip is really cool. How many kilometers do you travel with 1 liter of fuel? Hugs and have a good trip!
~26 kilometres
i like your videos bro !!!
