It’s so nice to finally see a movie with different colored Hispanics, especially the lighter colors as well as the darker colors. Makes me happy to see a big part of our culture being put into this movie as well :). Can’t wait to see it!

I just love that there giving main characters/secondary characters different body types again because it suits the characters so well :D
I love the fact that they gave the right colors to the darkest characters and especially their palm 😄
It seems like a good pair. One has no gifts so she is ostracized. One has a gift so unwanted that he is ostracized.
I'm hoping the family sincerely apologized to the main character for looking down on her and hating her guts for not having powers.
They never hated her guts. Well maybe one did.

I feel like her family treats her like crap Bc she doesn’t have a gift and people overly saying she doesn’t have a gift like that would get on my nerves real quick but I bet this is a good movie
I hope they at least apologized for hurting her feelings or at least say they loved her regardless. If not, I'd be disappointed.

It's not her entire family...just really her grandma and to some extent, her oldest sister...everyone else is nice to her
Soul needed this dedication, love and attention to it's sound track.
As someone who has had the honor of being able to travel to salento and el valle de cocora in el quindio region of colombia the flora, fauna and just greenery of this movie just blew my mind so realistic. I am very very impressed

Wait, I need some explanations, it's about the "We don't talk about Bruno" song, so basically they don't talk about him because he can see everything that goes bad in the future? or is it that he can shape the future?
The first one. They don't like his prophecies. I've listened to the full song, and there's a line that goes, "Your fate is sealed when your prophecy is read."
It's the classic fortune teller paradox. Bruno tells the future then everyone makes it happen trying to avoid it. If you remember that the aunt can change the weather with her mood, it makes sense that her anxiety manifested a hurricane from Bruno's fortune and all the other pressures from planning her wedding.

My favorite line from the movie is MIRABELS Line and that’s why coffee’s for grownups. MIRABEL your not even a grownup yourself yet. Your 15 years old which means you are still a teenager and probably still a little young to drink coffee yourself. So why did you say that. When your parents probably wouldn’t let you drink coffee yourself.
