Awesome! Thanks! I was watching Bolodaproducer, and he was also talking about Drum Machine Designer. I was able to load a Software Track and click the Up/Down Arrow beside EPiano on the Instrument Slot Strip, and Drum Machine Designer showed in the list as an empty kit. I have yet to watch your entire video, so you may have discussed this in the video. Just throwing it out there to help anyone that may see this comment. Great content keep up the excellent work. Now back to watching the rest of your video!

Nice 👍 yeah I show a specific way to select it, but yes, Logic seemed a bit picky for ‘when’ it actually shows DMD as an option until I figured out how it’s setup. Hope you found the rest of the video helpful!!

Is there a way to take the drum designer kit samples and drop them into the electronic drum machine? The kit is quick and dirty but it lacks the isolation power that the the feature you cover automatically seems to build in by separating all sounds into different tracks. The DMD seems technically powerful but all the samples for it seem like shitty trap samples.

Do you mean adding external/other samples in the DMD interface? Yeah you can do that - here's a link where I walk through it th-cam.com/video/u44_ZMKslpw/w-d-xo.html (somewhere around 11 minutes i believe). Thanks for checking out my channel! 🙌

how did you route it to a bus

Hey thanks for checking the video out! On the "Output" of your main DMD track (the one labeled 808 Flex in my case here), select the bus you want to route it to. All the other individual channels (hihat, kick, snare, etc) are already routed to the 808 Flex DMD track, so you basically have a nested bus routing there.
There's actually a recent Logic update where this will show visually now for nested groups (you can create Summing Tracks that both visually group and create bus routing for group tracks). When I made this video, Logic could only show one layer of grouping/nesting.
      Hope that helps! 🙌
