That really helps, and listen to podcasts or watch videos while you scrap. It's the best therapy around. Remember, you're not alone! We're all here for you whenever you need to talk. I'm so glad you that you're starting the process and it will be such a relief to be able to take care of it. Don't worry about the money either. You can start paying a little at a time. Thank you! I was BEYOND scared! Thought I'd get SOME type of sedation-NOT! ALMOST LEFT! Did it anyway.I had the BEST DR.who talked me through entire thing.I'll be honest - I cried (more fear than pain - but yes - there was some pain) But if I can do IT - ANYONE CAN! Your video really helped me. (I had the numbing shot)It's over now.Will get results in bout a month.I had lots a needles in my body too cuz of different problems. (head, neck, jaw (tmj) back of neck...) but THIS was different.But you didn't lie.Thx lots for your video!
I just got a biopsy in the morning. My Dr. didn't possition me in an uncomfotable possition, i just laid back as if i were comfortable on my bed..He said he was going to be done in 5 seconds and he was right. Didn't hurt, no anesthesia at all and i didn't feel pressure. I'm in shock lol. My results will be available next friday. I have just a nodule in my left Thyroid 1.5cm with microcalcification and irregular borders, which is a bad sign, but i am positive and waiting a good outcome. Agreed, if your on thytoid meds now it would be the best. BUT, studies say that you do not need radioactive iodine before or after. Research it because you are your best advocate. Also, B1 vitamin is usually needed if you have thyroid disease. My son who is 27 and I both suffer from this but he has a nodule they are watching. Thank you.
Thank you again! Got the results and they said the thyroid had atypical cells. They want me to retest in 3 months or just have the nodule removed. Not sure what I'll do, but I'll keep you posted.

I got one in March of 2023 and another in April a two week difference and the first time was good. But the second time around when they took out the needle I felt so much pressure on my neck and traps. My jaw also hurt real bad for several seconds. So I said, “why does my jaw hurt!” They said it was probably because they hit a nerve with the needle. Use castor oil to dissolve the nodules.
I literally just got home from having mine i got the lidocaine injection and it did burn and hurt a little I got 5 sticks(or passes) im actually in a bit of pain but it wasn't as bad as I thought. The pressure was crazy and like 2 of the sticks I could feel a bit of pain but not to bad.
I just had mine done yesterday, it was 4cm and he did 6 passes on one😮 and I had another one elsewhere in different part of my neck. That one was just under 2cm and he did 5 passes. Was not expecting 11 needles passing through..I had shots for the numbing and that burned. Still felt some pain during the process and pressure. Now just waiting 7-10 days for results. Plus they may remove the large one regardless. Now just waiting. My thyroid levels in blood were normal.
argh sorry ya had to go thru all that and hope the findings were good!! I just had 6 passes myself yesterday and they weren't able to get any viable cells.. well at least the pathologist in room didn't see any.. BUT they might in lab so fingers x'd for me.. i have Hashimoto's myself and had a total thyroidectomy back in 8/2019 with cancer that was in thyroid so i was glad it was out.. now 3 years later they've found a small nodule.. argh if it's not one thin its' another as they say lololllll One day/night at a time I keep busy with the kids and grandkids.. phew I am so sore and thankful for norcos atm they aren't helpin much either BUT at least I have something argh much luv and healing light to you Cathy and Heather you as well!!

If she’s removing them, why not do the biopsy after removed? Seems you went through biopsy unnecessarily since taking out anyhow. I’m sure they’re testing again once removed.
Can I ask u why you were not able to eat much? Bc im going thru the same thing I have 5 nodules on each side of thyroid and have a terrible time tolerating foods..so wondering if its ur thyroid affecting digestion or do u know? Its driving me nuts😔
Lissette Mustafa at the same time I was diagnosed with a hiatal hernia as well and I think it was the combination of the two. I remember that feeling like I was crazy but just know you are not! I hope you get it figured out!

That stuff does hurt I’m not about to sugar coat it ! When they poked you Ouch! Needle goes deep deeper deeper ouch ouch ouch! Now the numbing agent that burns well stings About 40 sec later it still burns and stings maybe a minute then it’s pressure all of a sudden and jab jab jab jab mine is so deep he had to numb me three times But it’s not that bad I have one Node VERY deep in. then pathologist came in after Dr is done with FNA and looked to see if he had enough cells the first go round , and thank God there were enough cells , dr wipes u off tell u how good you did , and to have a great day 10 min after even before u leave that exam room the numbing is worn off 🙄now the pressure pain begin the tenderness to touch begins Now you’re about to throb… eating was okay for me but swallowing liquid is a small amount of pain, took a nap and it’s hurting not tenderness hurting it actually hurt to move neck and touch to be expected 😊 good luck u got this

I have 2 nodules in my right thyroid . I will having FNA Biopsy on July 13th . it is my first time . kind of scary that i have deal through with it.

i hate needles and i have hyper thyroid. i know it will hurt. i wish i did not have to go through this.
