Thanks, I was able to refer back to the vid to clarify how you got that glass in, our Civic has external weather shields and I still managed to get the glass in without removal. Thanks for sharing, made the job much easier knowing any of the areas to watch for. A few very small differences on my 2020 ( a couple of extra trims, brackets and extra wiring loom to accommodate speakers) - and the 1 thing I tripped up on was I didn't confirm that I had the flex window guide untwisted. with the weather shield, I didn't see the top come out and twist. An extra 10 min, but the process was mostly done at night, in the driveway. Thanks for the help.

Hey José -- thanks for a concise video start to finish -- never touched auto glass in my life, but had been a powersports mechanic 16 yrs, know the best place to start improvising, is when you know what you can get away with first -- awesome, saved me $100 in labour 😅
Have a few pointers from my own exp, Civic hatchback: slightly different plastic cover with the butyl (man that crap is NASTY); don't need a pig's foot to take off those rubber plugs holding the upper corners on -- a scraper or blade screwdriver's fine, just press sideways into the plug, and it pops out. Before you guys start vacuuming, take out the window lift and regulator too; it's just 2 more bolts and 1 nut, and you have a *lot* more room to get at the glass shards that collect up front. Also get a pick or long narrow blade screwdriver, and pick out any shards that make it into the pulley and cable area in the mechanism; found a couple pieces right where José said they can jam your regulator, between the pulley and the housing. Reinstall snugged tight, except the two bolts on the glass, 1/4-turn loose as mentioned. Oh, and hatchback rear door glass for some reason didn't like José's tilt-in-the-back-edge-first method; mine slipped in fine with the front tilted in first, easy. And do use the foaming glass cleaner in the video -- cheap at Walmart, stays in place, easy to see, dries to nothing. USE LOTS OF IT, esp the front seal for the doorframe, where it goes into the track that stays in the door, around the front edge of the glass -- will need to push in about a foot of it around the glass, so lube up. You can put the rear part of the seal in that track you take out of the rear of the door, once the front seal is in. When the front's in properly, it centers the glass for the back edge, so just sight with a flashlight, lube up the track, and slide around the back edge of the glass... press rest of seal in the window frame, finger-tight your fasteners, time to test. Make sure everything works up and down, then snug all fasteners and check again. Press your cover on the butyl peanut butter so it seals, install door card and switch panel, done 👍

Really good video. I do wish I could see your hands at times. I broke same window in 2003 Honda Civic. Just ordered one that seemed too affordable. Hopefully it fits and this video is a template that is relevant to an older civic. Thanks for your content. Any advice is appreciated!

If you put your wet/dry vacuum on blower...more glass may come out. However, make sure your have a full face professional mask with a filter that can filter microns of glass (like a filter for asbestos) because glass particles and shards fly out EVERYWHERE. Also, make sure the mask covers eyes or have full frame goggles. Perhaps this is not recommended because I'm not sure if glass would get into areas like an actuator etc.

Thanks for your content, man! I broke same window in my 2003 civic today. Sucks. Ordered a really too affordable replacement tonight. Hopefully it fits and this video is fairly relevant to a 2003 civic. Any advice welcomed. Thanks again.

On my Honda Fir 2016...I removed the back exterior triangular cosmetic panel that you did not remove. It has the one screw and then must be lifted UP and out...or I would have broken attach points.

Question I have a 2016 civic as well rear window rolls down but when trying to roll it up the window channel gets tangled up. Do you think I have to replace it or align it ?

around 6:01 mark you say its important that "before making window go up and down, go ahead and connect this" - so what is "this" that you are referring to? I can't see it in the video.
