Could you make a video of what sets and quantity you purchased last year? Just to get an idea of what a typical Lego investor spends in a year on retired sets?
Yer that would be a cool video. I think he buys FBA amounts of sets 😂. Especially when he's talking of picking up 20-30 of a set that he's not even that sure about.
@starlord157 haha, I was thinking the exact same thing while recording my last few videos!!! I was starting to bore myself😂 I think I have some decent ideas (hopefully) for some variety. Now I just have to find the time to make it happen! I appreciate y'all watching!
@@kdxbricksanalytics I'm not sure how much I'd be willing to share quantity wise if I was in your shoes. In a way it's like sayin...Look how much is in my checking account. Or not in my account after I bought them all. haha Overall I find the vids engaging, but I'm a data analyst for a lving. 🤷🏼♂️
The Minecraft Fox Lodge is in a Walmart bundle with 2 other Minecraft sets right now for just $20. I grabbed a couple just for parts. The Fantasy Forest creatures is in a bundle as well. Did the same with those as well. Should be fun deciding what to do with all those parts. I put together a few of them as well, (Shark, Owl, & Squirrel) which as mildly entertaining.
Nice! Yeah, those Walmart bundles when they go on sale are really good. Love it! Building those three and one animals and creatures is a big fan favorite in my house too. Take care!
Great content as always Kevin. Interestingly I’ve looked on the Lego website today in the 🇬🇧 and we now have 85 sets showing in the ‘retiring soon’ segment. There’s a lot of sets we expected to retire not there just yet, but hopefully they’ll be added shortly.
Thanks buddy!! Yes, great point...now's the time of year to start looking at last chance/retiring soon on all region's websites. I need to remember to do that!! Take care my friend!
Hey buddy loved you and DG last week and your data is looking good. I hope the sanctum sanctorum gets a sale. This will be the sleeper of the year in imo keep up the great videos
Costco are getting rid of their last Lego Truck 60440 and the price has been dropping over the last month from $75 to now 49.98! A brand new release for 50% off is crazy! I convert them into day cabs to haul Construction vehicles so I got another 2!
When you mention that you stop by a Lego store and pick up some brickheadz, if you use your Lego Insiders account will they stop you if you have already purchased the limit of something? Or do you have to use cash? Just curious, I dont have a Lego store anywhere close to me, so it doesn't really affect me. But curious if you can get over the limit of 5 and still get points, etc.
Pretty sure you can also order more than the limit from Lego's online store. You just need to do make sure you wait until they ship the order and make another order of something else before you order those same 5 sets again. I got more than 5 of the new Aragog sets this way during the Harry Potter GWP event.
Thanks for another great video and compiling all that data! I’m actually coming around to Chewbacca as well. If it goes on a good sale might be worth getting, since it pairs well with C-3PO & R2D2 which will still be on shelves. Also between the city of Lanterns and the Dragon of East Palace, which one are you more bullish on? Take care and looking forward to the next one!
I'm going with dragon if the east palace. It's unique, looks very complete/finished and great colors. But I like both...I just never go very deep on monkie kids. Later bro!!
Good stuff Kevin. I honestly don't expect the big ones like Ninja city one and the Cantina to go on sale. I have noticed that these kinds of sets are pretty much full price buys. What do you think?
Thanks buddy, always appreciate you!! Generally I agree... every now and then they surprise us with a sale on one. More likely they'll do 2x or 4x points (hopefully with a GWP at the same time). All the best!
@@kdxbricksanalytics Yea, but waiting for that stuff to happen is a risk because I have been put in a situation where the the stock is non existent even a couple months before retiring.
