    This is great but I would like to know if there is a way to combine all the files to one page at their original size and then import that back into CorelDraw. The reason being, I would like to use the print merge function to create plates, name badges or other large quantity orders but then compile them into one page in CorelDraw for proofing, altering and printing, say like a document 40x30 inches. Can I set up a page in Acrobat somehow to do this? Can it be done directly in CorelDraw? It would speed up production for large print jobs a hundred fold! Let me know if that is something that is possible!

      I personally use nesting software like productionsuite to do that. I dont know for CorelDraw, sorry.

    Man I fucking love you
    I was already used to working with print merge, but I learned to do it with the odbc source, and after I migrated to the 22 version of corel i started having problems and it wouldn't let me merge it
    Anyway, I saw the way you do it, and tried using as a .csv and import file and it finally works again
    Thank you so much

    This is what i've been looking for, thank you so much. And i have one question, can i have two variables in one text field or paragraph such as "Dear Mr. at " or something like that, if there's a way that would be amazing

    • @PrimoTutorials
      @PrimoTutorials  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thats a great question. As far as I can see there is only the option to make the complete text or textfield as a dynamic text.

      You can do this by using Excel and then import it in CorelDraw via Print Merge. Make a column called "NAMES" and a column called "ADDRESS" and add all your info, names and addresses e.t.c. under each column. - Then save the file _NOT AS .XLSX_ but as .csv (comma delimited)- Then you open Coreldraw and Print Merge. On the right, press "Import File" and select the .csv file that you created from Excel. Now, you can see the colums "Names" and "Address". Press "Finish", and in the new window you can select any of your fields and place it wherever you want in your design

      I have a problem, after the print merge files are ready, I am not able to copy-paste whatever the text is, please give some suggestions,
      Is it possible to create barcode files (in print merge) in the same way?

    Nice job. Thanks.
    I have a question for you: I'm doing some labels and in one section I need to put the spinning class of that appliance. The spinning class goes from A to G. When the spinning class is for ex "B" i have to write all the spinning classes and make B bigger for ex: ABCDEFG where - ACDEFG:FONT 12 POINTS AND "B" FONT 19 POINTS in the same line. Is there an option to this variable.
    Ps: if you have a washing machine at home the energy label on that has the spinning class.

      Hi. Best I can think of is to make all the letters in seperate variables of font size 12. (Var A, var B...) And duplicathe all of them in the same position and make the duplicated variables font size 19 and rename them. So you get like [VAR: A] and at the same position [VAR: A SIZE 19]. Repeat this step for BCDEFG. So if you need the C for example. You fill in the variable A B D E F G and size 19 variable C.
      Good luck.

    Thanks for this tutorial, is it possible to perform the serialisation on one page? We produce serialised labels which need to be setup in a certain way to enable cutting on our machines so we only work on one page. Currently we have to manually add the serial numbers which is very tie consuming so any advice would greatly appreciated.

    At 3:09, the print merge window is called Print Merge Wizard on corel x8. I must click Next as there is no Finish button. Once I click Next, on the video, when I click finish, it does not pop up a print merge window. It saves and goes away. My only options next are to edit, perform, or merge to new doc??

    Great tutorials, just what I needed- thank you! Any ideas on why when I merge the 'Variable' doesn't stay centralised where I place the variable using align tools? In this case names for badges.

    • @PrimoTutorials
      @PrimoTutorials  ปีที่แล้ว

      Allign it with your text options and not the allign tools. The left/center/right paragraph text allignment buttons.

  • @MrBottlecapBill
    @MrBottlecapBill 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Great. Try to print a few thousand tickets........you'll see a huge problem right away. You wont' even be able to get to the print preview for 45 minutes.....if your computer doesn't just crash. X4..........not a problem. The print preview pops up in seconds. The print merge feature in newer corel versions is horrible and useless to anyone who isn't just farting around at home. The whole program has been going down hill in recent verions. I have to convert all my X8 files to X4 to have any hope of performing a printe merge of any decent size. The worst part is Corel and Microsoft have teamed up to make older versions of Corel Draw incompatible with windoes 10.......when I had my X4 running perfectly on windows 10 previously. What a scam.
