I took my Shahada on the 8:th of January this year. I just realised that this might be one of my toughest challenges going forward. I'm thankful for the explanation and I now know what has to be done. Goodbye Disco. Goodbye Funk and Goodbye Jazz. It will be hard, but I can do it. Inshallah. Love from Sweden.
May Allah bless you There are born Muslim into Muslim family and they still justify using it without any evidence, and then we have Muslims like you who reverted very recently and acknowledges its Haram and is also willing to quit it for the Sake of Allah! Keep going brother, Pleasure of Allah is more than anything.
exactly, when one knows he's committing a sin.... there's a chance that he will repent for the sin. but if you think of it as halal.... how would one repent for this particular sin? i heard somewhere... he said that he prefer that his son commit sin and know it is sin, rather than bid'ah. no one would ever repent for the bidáh they are in, because they actually think this is sunnah !!
I used to listen to music on spotify etc. all the time, even to sleep. I was a singer- opera and jazz, and played violin and piano. After recently reverting to Islam (from athiesm) I haven't listened to music or felt the need to. That was just natural, I didn't know till now that it's haram, I'm just starting Islamic studies now. As a neuroscientist I know how frequencies affect the brain and body (they are connected of course) so I can understand the haram reasoning scientifically. Looking at it that way it is really interesting and understandable that there is evidence for it being haram. When Islam entered my heart, music naturally left as if there was no need or space for it, Alhamdullilah. Just sharing my personal experience. Only Allah SWT knows best
You have a very interesting story brother. May Allah put Baraka in your life and rectify your affairs. I woild suggest learning basic aqeedah first like kitaab at tawheed. Maybe sheikh tim humble has an explanation on that
Alhamdulillah Allah has created people like you so that people like me wouldn't go astray. May Allah give barakh to your ilm and may we keep benefiting.
I agree, I stopped listening to music completely and I was more focused on my salah and reading the Quran and now when I hear music my head hurts so I try distincing myself away from it as much as I can. Alhamdullah now I am focused more on what I am supposed to do and I rely on the Quran and salah instead of music to motive and heal my heart.❤️🤲
Uthman says traditionally music by ijma is haram, recently to Nouman Ali Khan opened up his mistakes this topic. Uthman spoke to nak in a chat with eddy, nak brought a faqih and muhadith to view the evidence music is haram or show us evidence otherwise. NAK and his crew left the group and didn't reply. CIip : Nak says i want to know why music is haram, i am not an expert in hadith and know my limit. I research Quran, it's not talked of but it can tie to Quran 31.6, ibn Abbas's opinion is music is haram but this view is not sahih, the isnad has a drunk. Uthman says you say you are not an expert but then you go on to talk about it, then you call someone a drunk and you don't even mention who it is, this is not academic. I in the chat asked him who is the drunk & he didn't reply. There are many chains, it's not just ebn Abbas there are other sahabas and there is no contradiction. Ibn Hatim has a hadith of ebn Abbas, Musat tafsir Mathu Qatada, Mujahid all said Quran 31.6 is a reference to music. 6 independent chains, Saaed ibn Jubair, Abu saleh, Aitiyah, Mujahid all with independent chains says ibn Abbas held this view. (6.40 - picture of this 6 chains) ibn Abbas from Hasana al Basri from Ata other scholars from tabi'un said this ayat means Music! Hadith Prophet peace and blessings be upon him made du'a for ibn Abbas to understand Quran. Ebn Masud, Prophet peace and blessings be upon him said take Quran from him, also said this. It's not scholar to say i heard from anonymous who hides the truth! Sunan Kabir Bayhaqi, Abdullah ibn MD or Abi dunya, from Zuhair ibn Hard (faqih), Jarir ibn Hazir (strong scholar per dhahabi), Ata ibn Sa'eb (tabi'in) , Saeed ibn Jubayr (scholar of Madina) to ibn Abbas Uthman asks where is the drunk (oh Nouman)? How dare you? Ebn Masud said Wallahi it means music, authentic by jariri and ibn Abi dunya! Bagawi we will mention later. 10 :30 - From greatest scholar of hadith authentication, ibn Hajr, he has takrij or hadith checking werk called talqis, he said hadith of ebn Masud i sahih, ibn abi Shayba, Hakim and Bayhaqi all said it's sahih. Mustadark ibn Hatim has the chain. Uthman says I will go through the chain with you again. Is there any da'if or drunk in this isnad. Abul Abbas Md Yaqub (hafeth, faqi Shafi'i), from Baqkkar ibn Qutaybah (hanafi judge), from Safwan ibn Isa al Qadi (abut Hatim said he was saleh, MD Saad said he is saleh & Qadi) from Humayd Kuraat (YahYa Ma'in said he is thiqqah) from Saeed ibn Jubayr to Ebn Masud! Al Hakim & Dhahabi said it's sahih! Many says this includes tahrim or prohibition of music! Nak cIip : I asked Akram Nadawi , he said there is no sahih hadith! Uthman : there is hadith in Bukari, it even has the entire chain so if you are not an expert why talk about it. Best popular explanation is fathul Bari ibn Hajr, he says this hadith is Sahih! 15 :10 - Sh Albani in his Masu, says this isnad is sahih. Ibn Uthaymin says in shar al Mumteh says this hadith is sahih! Nak cIip : hanafi and south asian imams say no issue with music but we won't say it in public. Uthman : if this was private why do you speak, and if they are ashamed to speak publicly there is something wrong. Mathhab isn't a random scholar. you have to reference the books of that mathhab. you can't just say this secret person said Umar Abdul Aziz said you openly allowing instruments is an innovation in Islam! (found in sanai) abu Layth Samarqandi Hanafi says i't ijma of umma music is haram Abdul Barr Maliki says Music is haram to all the faiths. Bagawi in Shar sunna Shafi'i there is ijm3 wind, string and all other instruments are haram. ibn Hajr Haytham shafi'i in ijm3 music is haram ibn Qudama Hanbali in Mugni v12 page 457 20 :00 - ibn Rajab in his shar Bukhari says ijm3 music is haram Qurtubi says flutes, drums no iktilaf it's haram to listen to. Ruhual M3ni Alusi says Abu Hanifa forbid musical instruments, sticks. Say don't say hanafis are ok with music, Abu Hanifa and his students aren't! ibn Qayyim said Hanafis are strictest on music, and said it's a fisq to listen to string or drum or other music to reject their testimony, to enjoy music is kuffer. Shafi'i in umm said music is haram Ibn Jawzi said ibn Hanbal said all music is haram except few exceptions. Ibn Taymiyyah in majmua fatawa say all 4 mathhab say Music is haram. Ibn Baz, Uthaymin, Albani, Fawzan all say it's haram there maybe a random imam that says it ok. Ibn Hanbal said if you took the mistake of every scholar you will gather every eviI. a doubt ppl bring, hadith a girI played a duff for Prophet Muhammad peace and blessings be upon him. there is general and specific ruling. like zhur is 4 rakat & when traveling it is 2, you can sit at home and take the specific travel ruling and do it all the time. Bukhari 949, reported by Aisha there were lil girIs playing duff talking about a battIe, Abu Bakr said instruments of deveI in house of the prophet, *Prophet peace and blessings be upon him said leave them it's Eid.** So Sahaba knew music is haram but this is an exception is duff on Eid or in another hadith for nika! supported in ibn Majah Hadith use duff is halal to announce the nikah. another doubt by nak not ok, there is music playing everywhere. Uthman says there is difference between unintentionally listening to music or going to listen to it. if you go to a job and music plays that's not in your control. other sins are everywhere, gossiping, zina does that make it halal. seeing a girI loosely cIothed and going to watch videos are different, same way hearing music in pubIic and then going to listen to music on the net is different! to do a sin isn't kuffer to make halal what is haram is a Iine you shouldn't cros ( & is kuffer)
Honesly when i listen music the more i listen and avoid quran but when i listen and read quran i avoid music most of the time this is a lesson for me and understanding how music isnt good for me
I am a big admirer of both Sheikh Uthman and brother Nouman. That's why it was very sad to see brother Nouman say these things. I still like to believe he is a sincere Muslim and a good person, so I will pray that Allah guides him further
If Nouman is sincere he should repent not only for saying music is halal but wrongly calling a person a drunk, this are our Muslim elders who struggled so we can practice Islam today, I am shocked he said he won't mention names and he says his imams hide the truth, this is not Islam. Our Quran and hadith are preserved and open!
There are several other controversies surrounding NAK which I don’t want to get into. I suggest you dig deeper. I was always listening to NAK until these issues came up and now prevent me from taking knowledge from him anymore.

From Oshawa, Ontario…Jazak Allahu Khairan, Brother for your researched response to this matter. I love and respect the scholars in Islam…I have benefited tremendously from Ustath Nouman’s Qur’anic lectures…I ask Allah for His Guidance for the Ummah of His beloved Rasul (SAW).

Br. Naumans opinion is pretty popular in Canada and I started to think the same that music is not haram. Glad you made this video Sheikb Uthman. This is very helpful
@@khaledhussain3214 it actually a prophesy of the prophet PBUH that peoples from his Ummah will consider it permissible. It's sad and it's a sign of the Hour.
Stop watching these people for detailed Fiqh issues. They literally have no idea what they're talking about... LITERALLY! No offense, but these individuals are Dawah specialists. (I think Naumans is Quran Science specialist) But Fiqh is a completely dark place for both of them. Fiqh is not "Quran and Hadith", Fiqh is an entirely separate science. I wasted too much time reading about music in Islam in Arabic Fiqh books, just out of curiosity. But eventually, I found the best source you can check: the Egyptian Dar al-Ifta. I wish I had read their article first because it summarizes everything so well. And yes, if you say music is Haram, you are CORRECT. If you say it is Halal, you are also CORRECT. It’s one of those issues where both opinions are valid. What’s wrong, though, is believing that your opinion is the ultimate truth and accusing others of committing Haram just because they don’t follow your perspective. This is called "Ignorance". So, if you want proper Fiqh, follow the established schools of thought, not TH-camrs. These people are good for Dawah, which is great, but Fiqh is another field entirely. You need to look into the opinions of Al-Azhar and the Egyptian Dar al-Ifta.
@@Funblend-zd6dt what load of rabbish, Fiqh is based on Quran and Sunnah, if you ignore Quran and Sunnah then you are not a muslim, without evidence from Quran or Sunnah, your opinion is worth less, and listening to Egypt ifta' which says RIBBA is halal is a sign of misguidance.
Main problem is that people are taking NAK’s “opinion” when he isn’t qualified to even hold an opinion of his own. And then he doesn’t name the supposedly scholar he takes from which in and of itself is a red flag.

It's clear that music has the power to shift our mood, get us to clicking, taping, or moving our body, and even bring back memories (if we have any). It doesn't even necessarily need lyrics; just the rhythm or frequency alone is enough to influence our emotions or thoughts. Seriously, take a moment to ponder upon this, brothers and sisters in Islam.
Moreover one of the biggest The biggest problem with music is that it keeps playing in your mind even when you aren't listening to it. Those who listen to this know this.

Music takes out the sweetness and enjoyment of prayer and reading/listening Quran out of your heart. You will realize this quite easily if you are sincere to yourself. Once you get rid of music (addiction), you will start enjoying prayer and listening to Quran gradually again, untill you reach a point where you hate listening to music, even if you really used to love those songs in the past.
This is really sad that you believe this. You can enjoy both. Forget about the lyrics : Music is just beauty in certain vibrations of the air. A nice painting is just beauty in certain vibrations of the light. Our creator is an artist of the highest order, just look at the magnificence in the skies. If we follow this "logic" of despising music, why shoud we limit at this art ? If we are to forbid music, even without any lyrics... Lets forbid paintings, architecture, etc. The road to hell is always paved with the best of intentions.
@Onib-q9p Listen, I don't need to dive into nonsense analogies of paintings and buildings or even my emotional argument.. you reacting on this video means you listenend to this clear lecture full of evidence and proof. IF you are still stubborn, rejecting evidences of scripture and prophetic sayings because you just want to justify some stupid desire out of addiction, cravings or entertainment, then there is nothing left to explain or discuss. You heart is sealed even if an angel came down to tell you music is haram. You do as you please.
@@SoufBouchahati We do not know if those are true prophetic sayings at all. There is no way on earth to demonstrate those are authentic sayings. The earliest were written 250 years after his death. While many hadiths may be true, some are demonstrably false by contradicting Quran head on. This is simple common sense. If those prohibitions were valid & important, they would have been included in the Quran, for starters.

Narrated Aisha: Allah's Apostle (p.b.u.h) came to my house while two girls were singing beside me the songs of Buath (a story about the war between the two tribes of the Ansar, the Khazraj and the Aus, before Islam). The Prophet (p.b.u.h) lay down and turned his face to the other side. Then Abu Bakr came and spoke to me harshly saying, "Musical instruments of Satan near the Prophet (p.b.u.h) ? " Allah's Apostle (p.b.u.h) turned his face towards him and said, "Leave them." When Abu Bakr became inattentive, I signaled to those girls to go out and they left. It was the day of 'Id, and the Black people were playing with shields and spears; so either I requested the Prophet (p.b.u.h) or he asked me whether I would like to see the display. I replied in the affirmative. Then the Prophet (p.b.u.h) made me stand behind him and my cheek was touching his cheek and he was saying, "Carry on! O Bani Arfida," till I got tired. The Prophet (p.b.u.h) asked me, "Are you satisfied (Is that sufficient for you)?" I replied in the affirmative and he told me to leave. From Bukhari Volume 2, Book 15, Number 70:
This same Hadith is reported to us again in Sahih Muslim: Book 004, Number 1942: 'A'isha reported: The Messenger of Allah (way peace be upon him) came (in my apartment) while there were two girls with me singing the song of the Battle of Bu'ath. He lay down on the bed and turned away his face. Then came Abu Bakr and he scolded me and said: Oh! this musical instrument of the devil in the house of the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him)! The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) turned towards him and said: Leave them alone. And when he (the Holy Prophet) became inattentive, I hinted them and they went out, and it was the day of 'Id and negroes were playing with shields and spears. (I do not remember) whether I asked the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) or whether he said to me if I desired to see (that sport). I said: Yes. I stood behind him with his face parallel to my face, and he said: O Banu Arfada, be busy (in your sports) till I was satiated. He said (to me): Is that enough? I said: Yes. Upon this he asked me to go.
Once again in Bukhari, this event is recorded: Volume 5, Book 58, Number 268: Narrated Aisha: That once Abu Bakr came to her on the day of 'Id-ul-Fitr or 'Id ul Adha while the Prophet was with her and there were two girl singers with her, singing songs of the Ansar about the day of Buath. Abu Bakr said twice. "Musical instrument of Satan!" But the Prophet said, "Leave them Abu Bakr, for every nation has an 'Id (i.e. festival) and this day is our 'Id." And then in Bukhari, another Hadith relates a connection between musical instruments and the family of David (saw). Further evidence that, indeed, the Psalms were musical in nature
Volume 6, Book 61, Number 568: Narrated Abu Musa: That the Prophet said to him' "O Abu Musa! You have been given one of the musical wind-instruments of the family of David .' And on one final note, I thought the following Hadith can also be used in the matter. The Hadith relates of how the adhan came to be, and how the Prophet's companions suggested the use of musical instruments such as the horn or bell like the People of the Book. Now although the Prophet ultimately approved the use of the human voice, there is no mention that the Prophet chastised his companions for suggesting musical instruments for the adhan. And if the Prophet was so very much against musical instruments, then why would his companions dare to suggest the use of such sinful things in the call to prayer????
From Muslim Book 004, Number 0735: Ibn Umar reported: When the Muslims came to Medina, they gathered and sought to know the time of prayer but no one summoned them. One day they discussed the matter, and some of them said: Use something like the bell of the Christians and some of them said: Use horn like that of the Jews. Respectfully the Shaikh has produced what he considers to be 'evidence' and for it to be considered proof one would have to examine the 'evidence' to establish whether it reaches the status of proof. At 25:39 mins the Shaikh talked about generality and exceptions which addresses events at which music would be permitted but if it was a prohibition like all other explicit prohibitions then there would be no exceptions. As an example the Qur'an instructs us to eat unlawful foods if our life is in danger because of hunger unless the exceptions are explicitly mentioned! After all there is no way the Prophet Muhammad SAW would go against an explicit prohibition ( if it was explicitly prohibited) it seems from the evidence there is no explicit prohibition on music.
Jzk khairan for giving a clear and logical explanation. Even without these explanations, I know from experience how my connection with Allah, Salah, Quran , everything gets affected the days I fall short and listen to music. Trying to be better, what we get without music in our lives, is far superior and brings real peace and tranquility that once we realize, we stop looking for loopholes to bring music into our lives. May Allah help us all🤲🏼

Music is not Haram, Nobody can prove it is Haram. These are evidences..👇 So Fear Allah not the Sectarians. 1. Whatever ALLAH leaves without saying Haram are halal by default. General Fiqh rule. 100s of Scholars including Imam Al Gazzali, Shiekh Ibn Hazm, Sheikh Ibn Arabi, Sheikh Khardavi, etc., openly said "music in itself is not haram". 2. HADITHS - Prophet(SA) allowed music with instruments in his own house during Eid - Sahih Bukhari 987, 988, 3931, 949, 952. 3. HADITHS - Prophet(SA) compared the quran recitation of a companion Abu Musa(r) to the musical rhythmic sound of Mazamir(wind instruments, flute). - Sahih Bukhari 5048, Al Adab Al Mufrad 805, Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 1087. 4. HADITHS - Prophet Muhammad(SA) invited singers to a wedding function to sing - Sunan Ibn Mājah 1900. 5. That "Bukhari hadis 5590 which says musical instruments are haram in an indirect way" is a hanged hadis or an un-numbered hadis in bukhari text. Classical Scholar Sheikh Ibn Hazm stated that the chain of this hadith is broken. Also this hadith is an indirect statement, we cannot take this hadith as a solid evidence. 6. Only ALLAH has the authority to declare Haram. Scholars do not have that authority. Inorder to consider anything as Haram it requires solid authentic evidences. Do not falsely declare with your tongues, “This is lawful, and that is unlawful,” ˹only˺ fabricating lies against Allah. Indeed, those who fabricate lies against Allah will never succeed. - Quran 16:116
, he is great explainer of the Qur'an and that is his area of expertise so take good knowledge from his Qur'an explanations. As far as his own fatawas and opinions are concerned ignore them. Always take good from people. May Allah bless you.
@ Ibn Hazm claimed that this hadith is interrupted in the chain of transition between Bukhariyy and Sadaqa ibn Khalid.' However, Ibn Qayyim replied and made it clear that what Ibn Hazm said was not true. He summarised his answer in six aspects: 1. Bukhariyy met Hisham Ibn Ammar and heard the Hadith from him. If he heard by him through the so-called 'An'ana (chain of tradition), a connection is very likely, because they lived at the same time and heard of each other. When he said: "Hisham said [..]", then there is basically no difference to the statement: ", of Hisham".
@kikikoko607 Brother that hadith doesnt say musical instruments are haram directly. It is saying as if instruments are made haram already. Read that hadith again, bukhari 5590. Silk and Alcohol are haram, Quran says it repeatedly. But where does it say that Musical Instruments or Music is Haram directly? Show me!!! It is clear that hadith bukhari 5590 is fabricated by some to make music haram.

Prophet and Sahaaba did not leave behind even one hadith. All extra-Quranic stories of Sunnah, Hadiths and Tafsirs are nothing but hearsay folkloric tales; and a wise will not build his faith, Sharia laws, rites and rituals on such folklore. Your observation touches on a very significant issue within the Muslim community. Criticism, if done constructively and sincerely for the sake of Allah, can be a form of mutual advice (naseehah), which is a cornerstone of Islamic brotherhood. However, when criticism turns into obsession, hostility, or public shaming, it often causes more harm than good.

Sign of Qaymat is also things that were halal would be considered haram. There has always been a difference of opinion regarding music among scholars. Music is not inherently haram or halal it depends on the type of music and usage
@@pandaprrr995 you shouldn't come to us with such nonsense that there is a difference of opinion about music, the sheikh brought the evidence in the video, what is the evidence that it is not haram or your proof is just that there is a difference of opinion, really embarrassing how some Muslims argue just because they want to listen to music
Brother helped misguide you on what the term “ijma” means lol Ijma means NO ONE held a contrary view lol let alone the thousands of Scholars throughout history. Tawus Ibn Kaysan the Great Tabieen student of the Great Sahabi and legendary Mufassir Ibn Abbas said that music is permissible. So his own student disagrees, but there is ijma, let alone Ibn Hazm, Imam al-Ghazali, the Maliki school of the salaf. Like come on man
@@Wise_guy007 Not quite. brother clearly stated it is "almost ijma" not that it was "ijma" with certainty. Also he showed proof of one of the scholars particularly stating that all of the 4 madhahib prohibit listening to music or view it as haram. So the Maliki school of the salaf does not allow it. Furthermore, There is clearly an overwhelming amount of insanely important and major scholars who clearly, according to this video, agree that music is HARAM, one of them even swearing by Allah that in surah Al-Luqman an ayah that speaks of purchasing idle talk is referring to musical instruments if I remember correctly. I'm not sure if you watched the video, music is prohibited, period. Whether you like it or not the facts were stated and that's that. Also if I remember correctly Al-ghazali was influenced by Al-kalam and towards the end of his life ended up regretting his innovation of stating music was halal but take this one with a grain of salt. If I made any mistakes forgive me and they are from me, if I said anything good it is from Allah. Salam!
Terms Ijma and so-called Scholars have no authority in Islamic law. If you have understood the whole Quran, then you are supposed to realize that for Islamic law, Quran is the only authority. And Quran never makes Music Haram
If u have something show it with evidence and References, And btw take this panfit in asool al fiqh, Imam Al-Juwayni stated: “If the disagreement among the scholars occurs within a short period and they then agree upon a particular view, this is considered consensus (ijma‘). However, if the disagreement persists for a long time and they later agree, this does not constitute consensus.” (al burhan fi aswl al fiqh(158/1 )) @@Wise_guy007
@@PGY2000 there is literally no such thing as “almost” ijma from a fiqh stand point. Ibn Hajar wrote in fatul Bari that one side claims ijma music is haram, the other side claims ijma music is halal. The verse of surah Luqman has been interpreted many different ways. But the dishonest part here is any lack of deep research on Uthman’s part. The Scholars who permit music do not discredit those statements, but they contextualize them properly. Indeed music was used to dissuade people from listening to the Quran, revelation came and rather than saying music is haram, Allah in His infinite wisdom declared any and all amusements, entertainment or theatrics that dissuade people from the message of Islam to be haram. Uthman provides many evidences, with context or deeper understanding. He ignores the narrations of Imam Malik singing and playing the drum in Tariq al-Baghdadi. He ignores the known fatwa of abu Hanifa permitting the buying and seeking of musical instruments. He ignores half of Islamic history that doesn’t agree with him. This is why the Scholars take such offence to this man. Slandering the giants of the ummah because they had not understood Islam as good as himself. His pride and arrogance is clear from the rest of his content. We judge according to the thahir, and what is apparent is he is very full of himself and his knowledge. My request, instead of challenging people about music, he needs to accept the challenges of the Scholars who have called him out for pretending to be a Mufti and Shaykh. That is all and may Allah forgive me if I have said anything out of a place of arrogance or enmity Amīn ya Rabb.

I sincerely prayed to Allah and asked Him for guidance and correct aqeedah. And Alhamdulilah my heart deviated from NAK when he tried to spin the permissibility of music in an earlier lecture where he didn't elaborate on his stance. The same thing happened with Omar Suleman and Yasir Qadhi when they lectured to join hands with Lgbtqs and others and the issue of beard was elongated just to conclude it is proven authentic to keep a fistful beard. I can't thank Allah enough, now I have completely distanced myself from almost all the western scholars and try to learn from the real scholars who wouldn't put Ustad, Sheikh or Imam before their names.
i wouldnt say to deviate from them but take the good and anything which you feel is not right and of course with the evidences then we make dua and we leave that. but for those names that you have mentioned they have contributed greatly to the teachings and understandings of the Quran and ethics and have clarified where there have been assumptions and accusations made against them so we should always think the best of our brothers and sisters and of course if there are any concerns then make dua and leave the rest to Allah. however what we should not do is write anyone off or keep others away from them when they are benefitting and saying things which align with islam Quran and sunnah inshallah!

I used to listen to music on spotify etc. all the time, even to sleep. I was a singer- opera and jazz, and played violin and piano.
Ibn Hatim has a hadith of ebn Abbas, Musat tafsir Mathu
Qatada, Mujahid all said Quran 31.6 is a reference to music.
6 independent chains, Saaed ibn Jubair, Abu saleh, Aitiyah, Mujahid all with independent chains says ibn Abbas held this view.
(6.40 - picture of this 6 chains)
ibn Abbas from Hasana al Basri from Ata other scholars from tabi'un said this ayat means Music!
Hadith Prophet peace and blessings be upon him made du'a for ibn Abbas to understand Quran.
Ebn Masud, Prophet peace and blessings be upon him said take Quran from him, also said this.
It's not scholar to say i heard from anonymous who hides the truth!
Sunan Kabir Bayhaqi, Abdullah ibn MD or Abi dunya, from Zuhair ibn Hard (faqih), Jarir ibn Hazir (strong scholar per dhahabi), Ata ibn Sa'eb (tabi'in) , Saeed ibn Jubayr (scholar of Madina) to ibn Abbas
Uthman asks where is the drunk (oh Nouman)?
How dare you?
Ebn Masud said Wallahi it means music, authentic by jariri and ibn Abi dunya!
Bagawi we will mention later.
10 :30 -
From greatest scholar of hadith authentication, ibn Hajr,
he has takrij or hadith checking werk called talqis, he said hadith of ebn Masud i sahih, ibn abi Shayba, Hakim and Bayhaqi all said it's sahih.
15 :10 -
Sh Albani in his Masu, says this isnad is sahih.
Mathhab isn't a random scholar.
you have to reference the books of that mathhab.
you can't just say this secret person said
Umar Abdul Aziz said you openly allowing instruments is an innovation in Islam! (found in sanai)
abu Layth Samarqandi Hanafi says i't ijma of umma music is haram
Abdul Barr Maliki says Music is haram to all the faiths.
Bagawi in Shar sunna Shafi'i there is ijm3 wind, string and all other instruments are haram.
ibn Hajr Haytham shafi'i in ijm3 music is haram
ibn Qudama Hanbali in Mugni v12 page 457
20 :00 -
ibn Rajab in his shar Bukhari says ijm3 music is haram
Qurtubi says flutes, drums no iktilaf it's haram to listen to.
Shafi'i in umm said music is haram
Ibn Jawzi said ibn Hanbal said all music is haram except few exceptions.
Ibn Taymiyyah in majmua fatawa say all 4 mathhab say Music is haram.
Ibn Baz, Uthaymin, Albani, Fawzan all say it's haram
there maybe a random imam that says it ok.
Bukhari 949, reported by Aisha there were lil girIs playing duff talking about a battIe, Abu Bakr said instruments of deveI in house of the prophet, *Prophet peace and blessings be upon him said leave them it's Eid.**
So Sahaba knew music is haram but this is an exception is duff on Eid or in another hadith for nika!
supported in ibn Majah
Hadith use duff is halal to announce the nikah.
another doubt by nak not ok, there is music playing everywhere.
Uthman says there is difference between unintentionally listening to music or going to listen to it.
if you go to a job and music plays that's not in your control.
other sins are everywhere, gossiping, zina does that make it halal.
seeing a girI loosely cIothed and going to watch videos are different, same way hearing music in pubIic and then going to listen to music on the net is different!
to do a sin isn't kuffer
to make halal what is haram is a Iine you shouldn't cros ( & is kuffer)

People will NOT be TESTED beyond what they can handle ( Quran 2 : 286 ) ( Corinthians 10 : 13 )

Br. Naumans opinion is pretty popular in Canada and I started to think the same that music is not haram. Glad you made this video Sheikb Uthman. This is very helpful
Canada is a lot liberal than the UK, even more than the US. I can speak, I have been there.

100s of Scholars including Imam Al Gazzali, Shiekh Ibn Hazm, Sheikh Ibn Arabi, Sheikh Khardavi, etc., openly said "music in itself is not haram".

3. HADITHS - Prophet(SA) compared the quran recitation of a companion Abu Musa(r) to the musical rhythmic sound of Mazamir(wind instruments, flute).

4. HADITHS - Prophet Muhammad(SA) invited singers to a wedding function to sing - Sunan Ibn Mājah 1900.

Jazak Allahu Khaire. Its sad to see brothers and sisters making halal what was made haram for us, and justifying it. If you are too weak to stop, thats a different topic, may Allah give you the strength to do so. But never ever justify your sins, make them small or even claim its permissible.
Narrated Aisha:
Allah's Apostle (p.b.u.h) came to my house while two girls were singing beside me the songs of Buath (a story about the war between the two tribes of the Ansar, the Khazraj and the Aus, before Islam).
This same Hadith is reported to us again in Sahih Muslim:
Book 004, Number 1942:
'A'isha reported: The Messenger of Allah (way peace be upon him) came (in my apartment) while there were two girls with me singing the song of the Battle of Bu'ath.
Once again in Bukhari, this event is recorded:
Volume 5, Book 58, Number 268:
Narrated Aisha:
That once Abu Bakr came to her on the day of 'Id-ul-Fitr or 'Id ul Adha while the Prophet was with her and there were two girl singers with her, singing songs of the Ansar about the day of Buath. Abu Bakr said twice. "Musical instrument of Satan!" But the Prophet said, "Leave them Abu Bakr, for every nation has an 'Id (i.e. festival) and this day is our 'Id."
And then in Bukhari, another Hadith relates a connection between musical instruments and the family of David (saw). Further evidence that, indeed, the Psalms were musical in nature
Volume 6, Book 61, Number 568:
Narrated Abu Musa:
That the Prophet said to him' "O Abu Musa! You have been given one of the musical wind-instruments of the family of David .'
And on one final note, I thought the following Hadith can also be used in the matter.
From Muslim Book 004, Number 0735:
Ibn Umar reported: When the Muslims came to Medina, they gathered and sought to know the time of prayer but no one summoned them. One day they discussed the matter, and some of them said: Use something like the bell of the Christians and some of them said: Use horn like that of the Jews. Umar said: Why may not a be appointed who should call (people) to prayer? The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: O Bilal, get up and summon (the people) to prayer.

Finally it has been addressed with proof excellent work may Allah guide us all to the right path

I'm gonna download this video, in sha Allah. Because a lot of our masjids in our city, started to give this false fatwa too. Just like the Prophet sAaws predicted as a sign of judgement day.

@hs6585 Nouman Ali khan is right.
There is no Quran verse or Sahih Hadith which prohibits music directly. Nothimg...
@ Ibn Hazm claimed that this hadith is interrupted in the chain of transition between Bukhariyy and Sadaqa ibn Khalid.' However, Ibn Qayyim replied and made it clear that what Ibn Hazm said was not true. He summarised his answer in six aspects:
1. Bukhariyy met Hisham Ibn Ammar and heard the Hadith from him. If he heard by him through the so-called
'An'ana (chain of tradition), a connection is very likely, because they lived at the same time and heard of each other. When he said:
"Hisham said [..]", then there is basically no difference
to the statement: ", of Hisham".

Wow! Amount of scholars that agreed upon this statement is overwhelming. Brother helped us to feel the power of the ‘ijma’
Brother helped misguide you on what the term “ijma” means lol
Ijma means NO ONE held a contrary view lol let alone the thousands of Scholars throughout history.
However, if the disagreement persists for a long time and they later agree, this does not constitute consensus.” (al burhan fi aswl al fiqh(158/1 ))
@@Wise_guy007

I am from Punjab Pakistan we have Dhol or drums not Duffs so in our wedding we are going to play Punjabi dhol no A duff from Arab lol...
Islam is Quran and Sunnah not 4 sects (Hanfi, Shafi, maliki, Hambali from Sunni, or Jaffery from Shia
@@AllahRasool-ISLAM and they tell us that there are 4 mazaheb and 4 ways, forgeting that every time they pray, they recite surat al fatiha, and they recite to guide us to the ONE Strainght path....so only those who guess in the unseen, or make up new stuff, be it us, be it our forefathers, all of them say that there 4 ways to the truth, 4 mazib, well i dont care 2 peanuts for your mazahib...i dont. all i care is Quran and Sunnah..i dont want to know anything about mazahib...i want to know Quran and sunnah and th teaching of our best teacher prophet Muhammad pbuh....so while everytime when they stand up in salah they pray for the straight path....there is only ONE PATH, and that is straight path....i am not a follower of my forefathers..but these people are...they are no different than the saying of foremer people who used to follow their forefathers..... i am follower of Allah and his messenger, and I am muslim...the word muslim is enough for me, unlike many that are not comfrotable with this word, for some it is not even enough, they want to add stuff to it saying: ok you are muslim but which muslim?
have these people lost their minds or are they taken for a ride by our former people, by forefathers...these are following the saying of their forefathers and left Quran and sunnah...these are equivalent to Mushrikin...a crime that Allah will never forget...for their ignorance of Quran...and they are the first to come and tell us that you cant handel the quran...it is too dificult for you... I tell them: well you shut up!
my language is harsh against them, because they are a people who do not understand, a people who wont think nor allow anyone else to think...Quran declares of such people as worst of all.
they are the people who will accuse my beloved prophet muhammad of marring a child...i tell them: wait and see what is awaiting for you on judgment day, they are a poeple who raise narrators above Quran!

May Allah swt guide us all on the right path we’re all in this together and learning InshaAllah 🤲
Watching from the Gambia. May Allah protect and preserve you brother uthman. This is really important for addressing this issue.

My Gambian brother
My Gambian brother
Bro literally "*Left the Chat*" 😅
May Allah guide him
not like that my brother
everyone has their own understanding and knowledge level, and i agree that nauman ali khan is at fault but we should not make fun of him because of this
@@Ryuk-s7b Dude is actively corrupting Islamic understanding and preaching a feminist version of Islam but "dOnT mAkE fUN oF hiM"
@@Trait74 Corrupting? What do you know? Look, in Islam we are taught to respect. If you don't know how to respect, don't speak, okay? It's that simple. As the prophet says, if you're not going to say anything, well, shut up. Make constructive criticism, but don't make fun of it. It seems that people haven't been taught to speak well at home.
Yes Allah. Not you!!!
@ Well my brother if we do not know, we should not speak about someone's heart, and, Nauman Ali Khan has been of great service to Islam.
Thanks, my brother. You know it's so baffling when the scholar you love acts on issue so clear as this and results in a defense that is unacademic and embarrassing.
I love Shaikh Nouman and his lectures for the sake of Allah.
I'm not learned in quran and hadith, I only listen to all our scholars as we all can't be as knowledgeable as those that study quran and hadith in colleges for the sake of enlightening the Ummah.
I always think that if some of us who love him see his error so clearly, with our level of knowledge, why can't he.
I don't know who this scholar is, I guess I'm listening to him the first time, and his way of addressing this issue is brilliant and respectful to Shaikh Nouman.
May Allah guide Shaikh Nouman and all of us to the best, he truly needs to be humble with correction.
Truly, if there is poison in a delicious meal, it does more harm than good.
*THAT'S* what I call a video of quality. JazakAllahu Khayran.
Barak-Allahu-feek Sheikh Uthman and OMF team,May Allah guide us All Ameen!
