Thx 4 Sharing. Did u purchase the Canopy/ Tent that fits up2 the LHS ? Pretty sure it requires a Canopy out the Back where u Cook 🍳 Most definitely requires a 2nd 📺 inside @ the end of the Bed 🛌. Enjoy Ur purchase. My Favourite Tear Drop Camper.
Thanks! Nah, we did get the walls for the side awning over the door but not the igloo tent thing that comes out the side. Not sure if it's still available to be honest. Cheers!
What a great walk about. I was looking at this camper and your video answered almost all my questions. I think you have sold me on it. It looks like it would suit me down to the ground. Great video. Hope you enjoyed your bread.
Thanks Ron - I was looking for this kind of video when we were in your position and couldn't find one. So decided to make one! Glad you found it useful. And yeah - fresh camping bread is always a winner :)
Thanks for the video. Ordered ours in Feb and hopefully delivered end of Oct. can’t wait to get on the road with it. Thanks again for showing us around.
I am talking with Song from Tucana about getting a camper. How have you found him and the company to deal with? Has your Tucana met your expectations? I see that you are doing dirt and sand/beach with Tia, how is she handling this? Love the stories 🙂
Thanks Sean! Can't speak highly enough of Song's after-sales service actually. First class. The Tucana hasn't been bothered by the sand and dirt - any more than anything else subjected to those conditions of course. It's got a few more stone chips on it now (we just got back from Birdsville) so I feel a stone protector solution is in our near future...
Great run through of the camper. Would love to hear more in the future about how things are going, and what changes or tweaks you have made. Thanks. I just put a deposit on one yesterday. (10 month wait)
I just discovered these existed yesterday! 17 Jan 2023. A teardrop is Just what I want to go with my subi foz. Thanks so much for this review. Let us know how you feel about the under sink storage later. It looks good at first but maybe a bit tricky to use much. with all the hoses and wires. I recently hired a camper car in Tasmania, it was a Kia carnival and had a little kitchen like area in the back. No sink, but a portable cooktop.
The Forrester will tow these fine - perfect. So far, we have used plastic storage containers close to the cupboard doors to keep stuff in, which keeps everything away from the wires etc at the back. Seems to be working okay so far!
It’s roughly 185cm at the teardrop wall, but course it’s less the further out you go allowing for some fall on the awning. I’m 180cm for reference. Cheers!
Love your review. Thanks for sharing. I’m interested in the narrow solar panels on the roof. Did they come with the tucana or did you put them on? It’s just what I’m looking for, for my TD. Thanks again.
We use a step outside the door (they provided one) but it’s still probably a little short. A small 2 step stool might be easier if you have trouble. As for changing, the pop up toilet tent is easier if you’re not that flexible. I can manage inside the teardrop but it’s a little tricky :)
We didn’t tape over any of the vents, something many do when travelling those dusty roads. We have since tested a marine vent we added to the side, to see if there was enough positive air pressure to keep the dust out. It worked fairly well inside the main cabin. But the kitchen needs more work:) The road from Windorah to Birdsville was pretty dusty th-cam.com/users/shorts9Bq0uuK5HcQ?feature=share

@@TiaTucana thanks for the reply, I have optioned a stone guard on my order. I will be towing with a Subaru outback, I think it will do the job.
Great tour, we have a teardrop by a different Aussie company, would love to hear more about your bread that you were cooking. Blessings from Canberra
Ah. Good idea. We'll do that in a new video. Watch this space!

Yeah we waited about 11 months so I know how you feel! Will definitely post updates as we go on more trips! 😅
Thank mate
You’re welcome!

Well done !
Cheers Andrea!
Great review. Whats the height under the awning where the clip on table is?

Still recommend it?
Totally. We've given it a fair hiding over the last 6 months and I have a bunch of footage I need to sit down and edit. But yeah - still loving it!

They come standard with 3 (150W) but you can option the 4th to get you 200W. I don’t know where they source them from though sorry!
Thanks for the video, great set-up and looks so cosy. How do you go about getting in to the camper and changing clothes? Safe travels

I noticed the layer of dust was quite thick in one of your videos especially in the kitchen. Are the door seals not good enough?
