He didn't die. It's just not how Spelunky physics work. Styles was too close to Alpha and Alpha was actively moving towards (the breath spawns slightly ahead of you.). I guess it is possible that he died but I've beaten Spelunky 17 times so i'm pretty familiar with the physics of the game.

Can't agree more. It's a bit ridiculous how much P5's soundtrack is being used in every youtube video since its release but hey it's one of the best videogame soundtrack (especially when Lyn isn't singing).
I have watched this probably 3 dozen times and I JUST realised how clever Alpha was putting “When Mother Was There” at 4:12, just as the Boulder came tumbling down - just like the spheres in The Chamber of Guilt in Futaba’s Pyramid. This is a BRILLIANTLY SUBTLE big-brain-alpha-edit that I genuinely haven’t seen mentioned, and shows Alpha’s subtlety amidst his more in-your-face random comedy.
you can prepare, the items are the same and do the same things. every world has enemies only in said world to prepare for, and the same traps. game is hard tho, especially on shopkeep rob runs

Honestly I’m surprised that the people who made Splunky didn’t give each character different traits. I could think of a few ideas for them just off the top of my head like the Splunker (Alpha) having a greater reach with his whips and slightly longer ropes, the boy scout (Styles) being able to recollect ropes or the muchacho (Jome) having an additional square added to the bomb’s explosive radius. I did look up a list of the characters you can play as, so I could possibly go into more ideas, but the point is that it just surprises me that they didn’t decide to do that when I’m certain everyone else would have.

Alpharad, Having Parsec as your sponsor was fucking awesome, I felt blessed being able to play "Locally, Online" i mean, i can even make my friends try games that ONLY i have. Or ONLY they have. For instance, i let my friend try Overwatch at a higher framerate than he usually gets, he loved it.
I'm pretty sure it wasn't latency, they just didn't know how to play. Notice how they were ether confused or surprised every time they died. Notice how only Alpha used Splunky terminology. It's clear they were not used to the game enough to survive well. Splunky is very good at punishing every mistake.
@@shadovvwolfie790 there are way too many missed inputs, like moments when they looked like they wanted to jump and it just didn't come out. Even a couple frames of input lag can screw up a platformer as slippery as this.
@@mattiatrinca99 it depends what you mean on animation honestly and they're so different in style that i don't think you can really compare them really well. plus FG has a lot more foreshadowing and hidden details if you look carefully than the other BS. Music-wise their style is Maybe comparable but I still don't think we've been given melee enough time for it to settle in but after my hundredth listen it's pretty damn good man I still think Bloody stream is a little better but only cuz I get the chills when he says Caesar during the visuals. I'm sure there's something about the new FG in the animation that's going to give me chills the same way.
Congratulations, Alpha! Glad you, Jome, and Styles made it to the end! ...although, there is one final challenge if you feel you can go on a bit further. Claiming the book of the dead from the City of Gold and going to hell and back is easier said than done, but if you feel that you've still got enough fight left in you to try, I'm sure it can be done.

I think bloody stream is a little bit better for its animation, but fighting gold is still awesome and one of the best anime openings of the year.
