    My OOSSXX system NVR died after less than one year of use in an air conditioned house. One "waterproof" camera ended up being filled with water and had to be returned. After 9 months of use, the hard drive started "scraping". Their "tech support" is a complete joke. All they do is send you a poorly worded response that says basically "If you have problem with unit, buy new hard drive, power supply or nvr." They will do this over and over and over and not offer you any real tech support (such as taking the drive out and wiping it, trying to format it in a desktop, etc.) at all. If you want to risk your money and time on these disposable products, that's your choice but you've been warned.

    I've had my camera system for four years now. I live in Michigan and it has the up to every blizzard, ice, storm, and other adverse seasonal weather. When I did have in issue with a squirrels chewing my wires they walked me through the setup with replacement cameras. No regrets in Michigan.

    As someone whose owned this for 2 years now, I can say they done fairly well. I live in the north and they've handled the -20c weather without much problems. As for water from rain, I have them all placed under roof on the house and garage so they don't get water directly on them. Signal strength on them isn't too bad for wireless, mine aren't in the mesh configuration so I can't speak for that. The one major flaw that I see withe dvr is that it gets hot FAST, so the best thing to do is flip outside down and add a fan on it so it keeps cool.

    Nah. Totally not worth it. So many features not included in this camera. For this price and for all the hassle setting it up, I'd rather buy me one decent camera that has many more features. Not quite sure if this is the same camera as the one I bought. Came in same packaging, same company name with same price but the one I bought says I can connect with my phone and apparently supposed to be plug and play. I should've known that when it claimed to be wireless. This is definitely going back. Thanks for the review, now no need for me to take it out of the box. I got all the information here from you. Thank you.

    Hey Adam, Thanks for the reviews about the security cameras. I am looking for the best wireless security camera for my house. I have Arlo system but I am not really happy with. I would like to get the system with speaker option also. Do you recommend any system in particular? Thanks again and stay safe!

    I recently bought an 8 camera wired system. The only thing of big concern is that the box runs very hot. It appears it is the 4TB drive generating an absurd amount of heat. When sitting flat the heat cannot vent enough through the side slots. There are no feet, so the bottom sits flat on the table and no air flow is possible. When I place the box on one end and allow more heat to escape through the slots near the hard drive it runs cooler but is still ridiculous. How can it last. I bet I'll be contacting the company for a warranty claim before long.

    • @charlessmith833
      @charlessmith833 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Shat_Tastic I mounted it on its end with the warmer side up. I had to find a bracket to mount it that way. It runs warm but not hot, so it seems happy now. The only problem is that when a car goes by at night it only shows up as a streak. We have had three drive-bys across the street and I cannot even identify the type of car. That defeats the purpose of having a security camera pointed at the street.

    Well it is an interesting system no doubt. Listen if you are going to put a cam up it might as well be as good a resolution that you can afford. WIFI it is but lacking in resolution in my book and yet you do need to run power. Well if you need to run a wire it might well be a a network CAT 6 cable and be done. Low voltage does it all. I'm looking into a system now although I did watch when you published this video. If you need to run a wire it should be one that does it all. 960P is basically zero P. This unit is short of a good program.
