She got her fifth national bronze all around medal. And she's the 2015 national floor champion. So proud of her.
Not only are the tumbling passes great, but the choreography is probably the best I have seen from Aly. She is back, for sure, I wish her all the best !

+withlove312 I think she will get it one of these days. Remember how she used to be able to rebound out of her double pike? She is get that back once she gets more energy to do long routines again :)
It's quite a miracle that she was able to stand her split half rebound after that last pass.

I was never really a huge fan of alys floor exercise. I always thought she was rather overrated among the U.S. gymnasts (plus I'm a big Cata fan, shoot me). But holy hell, this routine blows me away every time! The tumbling is as good if not better than 2012, and the choreography is MILES improved. This music is genius and imagining Aly performing to it on the international stage has me screaming internally. Absolutely brilliant performance, she has made such a strong return and I cannot wait to see more from her!
Its like Elena Produnova and Viktoria Karpenko and everything I've ever loved about gymnastics all rolled into one insane floor routine... thank you Aly Raisman!!!

Is it easier to do straddle jumps than sissones? I don't know much about gymnastics but aly does her straddle jumps combination much better than the ones she did in Rio. Can someone tell me why she stopped doing this combination?

I've thought the same thing. I know it's not an individual skill but it's crazy hard and she's the only one that does it. It'd be cool to see in the future as "the raisman" or something
jshudo44 I don't think so, but any one who ever does this pass (or even a 1.5 to double Arabian to anything) is automatically going to be compared to aly, so that's nice at least.

+bicknell67 Aly was amazing! Simone Biles (who received a 15.85 during the championship) is going to be tough to beat. Whatever the case, they make the U.S. a force to be reckoned with.

Aly ONLY scored over a fifteen once at Worlds, during Team Finals. I think she was a little underscored at worlds, but over scored here. And considering Simone will probably have a double double layout (I) next year, She probably won't win unless Simone falls. But, she could get silver or bronze as long as she qualifies to the final.

Triple full at the end would be better, its worth the same as the double pike to split half, and her triple full is pretty solid

I think Aly is one of the only people that could challenge Simone. Of course, not now, but maybe with a couple upgrades, like bringing the triple twist for her last pass, and maybe a punch front out of the Dos Santos like at Classics. But, we'll see next year...

liceous No not really, it's hard for men to even do a triple back and Arabians are even harder so honestly no she wouldn't even be able to do a triple Arabian if you're being completely honest.
I remember where floor routines were mostly, if not all, actual gymnastic routines. Over half of it was just moving her arms around while being stationary.

RockyRoxy Lovin I think it's better this way. We get to see every routine without watching gymnasts walk around or just sit, and we don't have to listen to commentators who can't uses proper grammar or real words (it gets on my nerves when they say heighth).

Ok, first off - love this routine. Can't even begin to say how happy I am has to how much the energy has improved since the podium training for the Classics, where (personally) I thought that she was barely making it through. But is anyone else extraordinarily bothered by the really really long leap section in the middle? That part seems so poorly choreographed to me. She is super strong and certainly does not need to waste all the energy prancing around the floor to "prep" for those leaps. Takes away from the fun of the routine for me. Other than that though - WOW. So happy her comeback seems to be on an excellent track.

I love watching this natural born female compete in a woman's sport, & this is just more prep work for the medals she is going to score at her 2nd go at the Olympics
Her tumbling is good and confident! But her choreography is back! Really hope to see her be more clean and artistic on floor!
I know it's the style and tradition of floor gymnastics to dance like that but, while the tumbles are amazing, I think they need to update the dancing in between. Cause it's like ballet without the grace and footwork.

+Ally Ho The shoe is on the standing leg for the double turn. It helps with the spin. She probably likes to keep the other foot bare because shoes can often make the floor surface slippery.

Skinner was alternate, and Maggie qualified over her and won bronze. She had mistakes in quals that two-per-countried her out of EF
