For someone who discovered your channel very late, I hope you continue box breaks at least once a month. You're one of the best breakers in the business - witty, with good taste in vintage cards, and wielding the gift of gab quite naturally. I'd been looking forward to this epic break, and it didn't disappoint. Thank you.
Thank you very much for the kind words, Justin! Glad you enjoyed this break. I hope to still continue these old box rips at least once a month, especially when box prices begin to subside.
Hey Jon. Just wanted to thank you for the break last night. Had to miss part of it because we thought my dog swallowed a battery from the remote. Thankfully he didn't. Anyway thanks again I was happy I got to be a part of it.
Thanks Jon. Sorry I couldn’t make it live but still fun to be a part of your break. This was the first break I’ve been a part of since your mega mixer break. Hopefully I can be a part of more in the future.
Listen, I'm watching your video from Bowman box after Bowman box, and I find it quite knowledgeable and entertaining. Even if I don't leave a comment, I still find myself watching, because you make it an easier process for my choices, should I want to buy boxes. You really know your stuff, but you don't hesitant to say, should you not know who a player is. I admire you for this. Keep it up. Thanks!
I can imagine being 14 years old at my local Card Shop, buying a pack of 1992 Bowman, and pulling a Mike Piazza and a Frank Thomas foil in the same pack?! That would’ve been insane :-)
Thanks for this opportunity! I really enjoyed being a part of this break. Even though he was a bust I will enjoy that Jose Cruz Jr for my Mariners PC lol
I got my cards today. Thanks for the random assortment of extra packs. I pulled both Biggio and Sheffield RCs from the 89 Topps rack pack, and a Mike Piazza “RC” from the 93 Ultra.
Hey, if you really want to find that Thomas NNOF - buy a case or two of 90 Topps vending boxes.... I pulled one back when I was a kid and felt like Topps ripped me off, lol... The card didn't say "Frank Thomas"...... Obviously I cant guarantee anything but I know for a fact - for a fact - the Thomas NNOF is in vending boxes/cases.... I had several vending cases when I was like 11 (how I acquired them would take a book to explain) but I broke a couple of 90 Topps cases and I pulled one - but back then it was nothing special - THEN it was and I remember hunting for it everywhere but I think I sold this "clam case" full of Thomas rookies to someone and I put it in the "clam case"....... Look, I'm just giving you a heads up - they're NOT in wax .... I pulled mine out of a vending box, I've heard you can find them in cello's and rack packs too... I would love to see you pull one - I just want to point you in the right direction.... Like I said - I pulled mine out of a vending box and can remember to this very day what I was thinking when I pulled it .... I'm pretty sure vending cases were 12 boxes er 6,000 cards and you could probably grab one for less than $500 - more like $300 probably - and you will probably get 20-25 of every rookie card out of every case - so if you can get one for $300 it would be quite the deal ..... I have more info, this is just my .02 cents for now, lol.
What you do is you put your palm on each end and you twist forward then you twist back a little bit you hear crack and then it'll come apart really easy like you're cracking the old ice trays you've got to twist them back and forth to get on the pop out that's what you do you twist them one way through the other and I'll come right apart
Just bought the 89 BOWMAN comeback edition box from a local card dealer last night, he had two but my wife would only allow me to get one. Pulled the Griffey RC out of the 3rd pack out of the box,had the gum on the back not too bad but you can tell. My question is, is it even worth getting graded or is it Goodwill material? Someone let me know......
Speaking of rookie busts like Jose Cruz jr. What about the eBay sales of PSA 10 Jason Dominguez for around $1000! The dude will probably never make the majors. Imagine that for those buyers. Or what if he does and turns into Kevin Maas?
I dont watch your videos in any given order...they all stand alone...Bowman is foreign to me as I collected Topps only 1978-82 so Im enjoying this. And yes please no Erik in your breaks....your delivery is much much better....no hyper spazzing and little re use of annoying pet phrases...lol.
Sorry man, but my baseball card knowledge post 97-98 is not too good and several months back I acquired an uncut sheet of Bowman Autographs that were never autographed and it's loaded with the 97 crop of rookies + 5 Derek Jeters, but every rookie (kerry wood, dude that crashed his plane in the Bahamas or any 2nd year crop you can think of .... Pretty insane stuff ..... They're on eBay right now but if I don't sell the sheet and get what I want out of it - I'm getting it professionally cut... They're in "mid-stage production" meaning they haven't been finished to be autographed yet .... It's a sweet sheet - I'd value at $15,000 - but I understand people just don't have $15,000 laying around to drop on an uncut sheet - so if I cant sell them by Halloween I'm going to just have the sheet cut and sell them as singles - perhaps have several graded .... It's pretty frustrating because these "whales" are going after ultra modern with high pops while hold t his sheet that working men and woman would love to have but they cant afford it - while these clowns are buying PSA 10's with pops of 1000+++ ...... I'm not complaining or anything but merely making an observation - that there is a huge gap unsustainable gap in the hobby - and it really reminds me of what I saw happen in the early -to-mid 90's - new collectors/investors buying cards they know nothing about and then watching it all flame out a couple of years later ..... That's why I stick to the vintage and the rarer stuff - I mean a /5000 LeBron means nothing - /5000, really?? c'mon ..... Look, I have a degree in economics - and you collectors that watch this channel know what you're doing - so you will be safe - but I see a massive collapse when it comes to ultra-modern cards - well unless you have rare stuff like /50 or stuff on that level .... It will be interesting to see.... There is without question a "junk slab era" coming up when it comes to modern (ultra) cards ..... Of course the GOATS will hold value, but modern players are going to TANK big time... Look Pop reports of 25,000+ are NOT sustainable.... Look, when you buy a card ask yourself this: "are there more Jagr hockey collectors (for example) than /250 that would want this card?" or "are there more than 25,000+ baseball collectors that would want this PSA 10 Mike Trout than /25,000"??? ........ It's almost like simple supply and demand has escaped the hobby and now modern cards are like "stocks" - when they're NOT..... Yea go back and ask someone what happened to them when they invested in Bobby Bonilla or bought McGwire rookies for $250 -- right...... But as they say - "history doesn't repeat itself it rhymes"...... Sorry for the rant but it was just something that was on my mind - when these clowns back in the 90's were dropping stacks on cards at card shows or even the local carnival..... Back in 94-95....... SMH
The Jabs boys hated a lot of players back in the day. There were players I didn't like. Bonds. Bonilla. Drabek. Lavalliere. But only Albert Belle deserved hate for how evil he was.
Watching the chat replay and oh man there are some cringe comments. Here's a tip, if your question doesn't get answered the first time you ask, please don't repeat it 20 times in a row. There's probably a good reason it was ignored. It was probably super stupid and you should be ashamed for asking it in the first place. So continuing to ask it repeatedly is extremely cringey. Here's looking at you, Tim Layton, serial offender.

I’m a football card collector and don’t collect baseball cards anymore but your videos take me back to being a kid.
Your commentary makes the videos man. Lol perfect combination of knowledge and humor.
Thanks Wesley, glad you enjoy it!

Thanks for participating, Camille! Hope everything is okay with your dog.

Thanks for participating, Keith! I appreciate you catching the replay.
Thank you for putting this together. Fitting end to a great run of 90's card busting.
Thanks a lot, Joe. Appreciate it man.

Although Piazza didn’t get hot until 1993, but you know what I mean :-)
Thanks for this opportunity! I really enjoyed being a part of this break. Even though he was a bust I will enjoy that Jose Cruz Jr for my Mariners PC lol
Thanks for participating, Kyle! I loved that Jose Cruz Jr card back in 1997. I thought he was going to be huge.
I got my cards today. Thanks for the random assortment of extra packs. I pulled both Biggio and Sheffield RCs from the 89 Topps rack pack, and a Mike Piazza “RC” from the 93 Ultra.
Glad they arrived safely, Nick! That’s great you were able to pull some nice rookies out of those extra packs! Thanks again for participating.
Why in the hell would somebody give this a thumbs down

Loved this, Jon. When can we look forward to the Fantastic Fleer Fiesta?
Thanks Joe! That’s a great idea and I think you may be on to something with that.

Can't wait for the next search for NNOF.
He could just buy the card.

I agree, Andrew. I was thinking the same thing. Very well could be the same exact scenario.
Nice RIP
The cards must be thinking of me because they're getting all bricked up because I'm bricked up watching them so maybe it's the same
