you are correct about it being unreliable when compared to other smg's, especially in one-on-one confrontations, but it excels in point holds when lots of enemies just charge through the door, which happens a lot in my experience. would an auto-shotgun or thumper be better in that situation? probably. but it's still useful, however niche it is. a slight buff to fire-rate and/or pellet spread would indeed make it more reliable.
I would say it was a poor choice to run extended mags, the laser is much better. Not only does this help with your hip fire by a full 1/3 but also with your hip fire pellet spread by a 1/3 as well. As your choice is 4 more shots or all 22 rounds having a higher chance to make contact with your target. Although the gun isn't very good as a whole so.... Great video as always, can't wait for more. o7
The laser doesn't solve the unreliability, though. Sure, it's better, but it's still horrid where you should basically always ADS - which is why you take Ext.
@@yanlexi You stated in the video that a smart choke would make it better and yet you are saying that a reduction in cone of fire and pellet spread is somehow worse than 4 extra rounds? Those 4 extra rounds have the same horrid base stats. The laser fixes some of the unreliability in cqc that you are mentioning. The gun doesn't do great past 10 meters. Why try to ADS when your hip fire can be improved while keeping yourself more mobile? Unless I'm misunderstanding your point, not trying to argue. I would like to better understand your reasoning.
My point is that if the hipfire is still junk with the laser, at least 4 more gives you a higher likelihood to kill in the event you need the full magazine (which can happen thanks to its shitty accuracy). You get .75 ADS anyway - better to increase the odds significantly by ADSing rather than slightly by hipfiring.
@@yanlexi I can see what your saying, it always seems odd to ADS with a smg. As most have there engagement range well within their hip hire range. I'm not the best while aiming down sights while my target is right in front of me (sub 20 meters). I tend to focus more on hip fire if they're that close. Thanks for your explanation. o7
Of course! I totally get where you're coming from with the laser, and for some players it may be more comfortable. I just get more use out of the extended magazine.
Oh what 3 weeks ago? I remember using the gun as a medic gun. It’s not that bad lmao? I’ll make a video with me running the gun. Also I don’t shoot with the scope. I hipfire it
@@yanlexi also ppl saying that the kindred is a bad gun. Personally it’s perfectly fine. I have a video full of clips of me just melting ppl with it. Again I used it mostly with hip firing lol
I also think they should rebalance this gun to make it more punchy. Make it do 250 damage total by giving it 5 pellets, then lower the rate of fire even more to like 450. It would then give it an actual gimmick of being the highest damage SMG in the game bar NONE, but it really wouldn't be that OP since its pellets spread out so much.
It would probably be a downgrade. It'd be even more unreliable than the regular Tengu. Only way to save the Tengu is to make it more reliable, not less so.
@@yanlexi Ehh, if they gave it an extra pellet, it'd be able to 2 headshot kill and it would basically be an upgrade. I think the kappa should become a cert gun so you would be able to choose between high fire rate reliability or low fire rate but super high damage.
2 headshot kill might be fucked on an auto. As for Kappa: It wouldn't make sense to turn it into a cert gun, as every old NSO directive reward weapon was made A7. Maybe if it was made certs instead of A7 folllwing NSOverhaul.
@@yanlexi I think the range would be so low as to not be a problem. Think it like how the auto shotguns have a 1 headshot kill but only below like 4 meters. Nobody complains about that factor of them even though they're technically the highest DPS guns in the game.
NSX Tengu: Who are you?
VE-C Horizon: I'm you but not lobotomized.
lmao
Newton has entered the chat
Man, at least Newton is good. Would certainly rather have a Newton than a Tengu.
When this gun came out, I was super excited to finally have a 200 damage gun for TR use. Then I actually used it. D:
yeah it's bad
the amount of times I've gotten HS hitmarkers with this wanksock and then gotten completely binned by the Heavy I was shooting at is infuriating af.
"wanksock" LMAO i'm stealing that
and yeah it's such a shitty gun

Merry christmas xD
i like to use it when i want to show the surrounding team where targets are

It's tragic because of its horrid unreliability due to pellet spread.
Just use a Cyclone/Armistice/Sirius/Punisher instead.
@@yanlexi I actually enjoyed it quite a bit. Hip-firing on light assault works great. But idk maybe I missed a update. Haven’t used the gun in ages
Might just be your experience.
Still a shit gun.

Wouldn't be fun to use, though. Maybe as a special ammo type, but even then.
Great video bro can a make a video with mgr c1 charger or 19a fortuna or mgr l1 promise much thanks bro
Unlikely. I don't really play NC. Charger would be most possible of those 3, but still extremely improbable.
