I haven’t tested everything in this process range but to answer your question. Since it has the same app the big brother Escort line uses and even includes some of the premium features, it is a great value. It won’t respond as quickly as a premium high-end detector, but it performs above the average. I will have a follow up video in the coming weeks.
You have 3 options: 1 : Pick up something like this off of Amazon and tap a fuse : amzn.to/467EDmn. 2 : Buy a fuse tap and cut the original 12v adapter plug and connect to the fuse tap. 3 : buy a mirror tap kit from a site like Gen5DIY specifically for Cobra. I have one from them and it works great. There is a scene in this video where you can see the radar detector connected from above. This is the mirror tap.

Sound like it is in screen saver mode (which means its working). You can change how long it takes for the screensaver to come on. If you want to know for sure if it is on or off, try the on/off/volume wheel

Do you have to have connected to the App in order to warn of speed cameras? Or is it internal database
It is is part of the radar’s internal memory. Just the real-time community alerts would require the app to be connected

You don’t have to use the connected services at all. Update the firmware and data manually. Easy. Off the grid use.

The cam from what I know is average but it’s main benefit is the convenience it provides as an addon
