Thats not even the original quote, its a bastardization. The orginal quote was “the customer is always right to choose what they want” because originally you werent able to handle items in a store but then department stores shifted to where people could touch and view and walk amongst the products and then take them to a register.

The saying was "The customer is always right when it comes to to taste. So you agreed with them whether you liked the item or not. It was just to to be polite to the customer. Somehow it became the customer is always right. That's incorrect. 🤷♀️✌🌻🌻

Let me tell everyone one last time... THE CUSTOMER IS RARELY RIGHT. That phrase was an ad campaign for ONE STORE in the 1920s (in New York I believe) to drum up business during the depression. Whatever you need, we've got it here kind of thing. It is not some "class" you take to work at McDonald's. I'd say 9 out of 10 times the customer is full of shit and they rely on some 100 year old Sears ad for the ability to scream at minimum wage workers.
The customer is never right but we (in the upscale dining industry) know that a significant percentage of the population lack both common sense and common decency.

@@twins2645 police can't do anything if they don't witness physical abuse or if the grandma won't press charges. I've gone through this personally and if he had entered her home when she told him she didn't want him to (even if she was manipulated into that) he would have potentially been arrested.

as a psych, its really sad and disturbing because we need so many caretakers in Australia - nobody wants to do it. Yes, its a hard job and sometimes you dont feel rewarded but that doesnt mean you get involved in family issues. Sometimes they get a god complex and will think they are protecting their client but family and friends do help mentally and if the family want to leech its dreadfully sad but they cannot intervene like that its something that legally needs to happen with the add of other health services.

I was thinking the same the poor old lady who looked like she could have dementia that carer was too controlling the grandson should of said ok I will call adult services in the morning my grans carers tried to do this to my aunty who lived with her took great care of her but after CARERS gave her the wrong medication they caused brain damage that then gave her dementia they would lie and say my aunt was encouraging her to be violent to the carers which she was not she would try to distract gran sadly the so called carers ended up killing her by breaking the pin she had in her leg causing it to come through her thigh she died in hospital not long after

Things in places like Goodwill get moved around and tags get switched or ripped off or simply don't have a tag, just because you find it in a certain place doesn't mean that it belongs there. Goodwill specifically has set prices for certain types of goods such as kitchen appliances, hardware, sporting good, clothing, accessories, ect. If they say your bag is $20 then it's $20 and not where you found it
I worked retail, and customers would pull this all of the time. I had some people that would rip tags off and put the clearance stickers on some items on other stuff. I had a lady try to return three items, but only one of them was on the receipt. People do this kind of stuff, and it's honestly pathetic...

People that do these kinds of things, think they’re smarter than everyone working in these places. I was in a store where some women tried getting a $200+ baby crib, for under $100 because of where it was placed. The cashier had to explain to them that someone probably, changed their mind about the item, but didn’t put it back in its right spot. She explained to them the price they saw on the shelf, wouldn’t have name of this baby crib.

Reminds me of two girls parked up that I happened to see throw their packaging out of the window (a bin was literally right in front of where they were parked). I was so mad but kept my cool.."excuse me have you lost the use of your legs" I asked through the window.
One girl looked dumbfounded "what?" She said. Then I proceeded to tell her there was a bin right in front of the car and they both started laughing and one said "who are you the f***** litter police?" To which I replied well actually yes I am and I work for so and so and I am just going to photograph your number plate to report your littering. Well you never saw two doors open faster than theirs because they jumped out, picked up all the rubbish and put it in the bin all the while muttering under their breath. I like to think they might think twice about doing it in the future! You never know

Like we can’t be over the top with it but he’s told us multiple times we have a right to refuse service and we have the right to defend ourselves if needed. You know what’s funny about it? Because of this we don’t get any Karen’s or kens! Most of our customers are so nice and adore our store. We didn’t lose business, we’re one of the highest profiting stores for our district, and we have almost 5 star reviews on google and yelp. My point for saying that is it didn’t affect our profit but it does improve our moral.

Exactly, that’s scary to think about, I’m glad that we didn’t need a caretaker for my grandfather, we took care of him, but I understand people don’t have enough help and have to work, I hope something was done about that caretaker, because that’s scary as hell.

It does seem like the caregiver is abusing her power. However, the grandson is not reacting well and both are stressing the grandma out, who appears confused and possibly an injured arm. This is a sorry state of affairs and sadly, neither party had Nancy's wellbeing at heart.

Just my thoughts on the little we got to see but it seems he is grown n takes advantage of his elderly grandmother and lives in her home for free and probably gets money from her, hence the caregiver bringing up him wanting a car from grandma and grandma is probably tired of his mooching ways but still loves him and didn’t know how to make it stop so the caregiver stepped in and changed the locks. Just my thoughts on the little I watched and I may be way off but his whole demeanor seemed way off to me.

i love the dollar tree employee that’s exactly how i handle customers like this i give them whatever solution i can and if they won’t accept that solution and are being disruptive then they need to leave. i’m not gonna argue back and forth for twenty minutes and give in to entitled karen’s, just to encourage their behavior.
It’s amazing how people lose themselves over sauce. Like you throw your food on the ground cause there’s no sauce in the bag but you’re banging on the window holding up the line for sauce to use on food that you don’t have anymore…..cause you threw it on the ground. Wow
I don’t support distracting a service dog, but the little girl that seemed very comfortable defiantly blocking the woman’s shopping buggy tells me a lot about how this family treats people.
Distracting a service animal is pretty serious, they're there for a reason. And it's a crime. I'm glad the girl's learning to call people out and try to make sure they take responsibility for their screw ups. There are signs everywhere about service animals, it should be common sense by now. Luckily that girl and her grandmother (not mother, right? bad memory) have some, and are educating even the willfully ignorant.

Yeah, thats not a law. You can record on federal property as long as you dont record in a restricted in a area. Also banks are not federal property unless that is a true fact you made up.

I work in a bank.
Pull out a camera in the bank and you're guaranteed to be taken off the customer list and trespassed from not only that branch ... But the entire institution. You can also be red flagged in the financial system and other banks can refuse to serve you.

Also it is not illegal to record in a bank. It is against regulations. Meaning if you record you will be asked to leave/ stop and if you refuse you will be trespassed. Illegal implies that mere act of recording in a back alone would result in a fine or imprisonment

Where I'm from, a lot of the thrift stores won't even sell you an item if the tag on it is missing, no matter if it costs $19.98 or $9.98 or WHERE in the store you got it from. No tag? No sale and it goes back into stock to be retagged.
