Your an inspiration! I grew up in an abusive home and always felt useless and like id fail at everything so i never learned skills like the ones you do. Now after getting mental help im learning from your videos and am researching plus starting my woodwork tool collection. Got my third axe and getting some wood next week to start small projects. Im excited and pray your work continues helping other people.

Have you heard about the 'maker movement' or even the 'right to repair' lot and the gatherings they have.
I love learning stuff too and it's groups like I mentioned who can help you out. You might be able to try out a few directions with some workshops
or get access to machinery and helpful training that can mean you have more of an idea how much an area inspires you before having to buy into it fully so to speak.
Maybe those axes will be useful helping a community bit of woodland you might learn to properly coppice the wood, or train a little in a dying art like 'bodging'
or perhaps it'll reveal an interest in land management or rewilding projects... when you find out what options there are out there you won't know what to learn first.
Wishing you the best on your journey buddy

Eoin - first of all, as a citizen of the USA, I'm glad to finally have learned how to properly pronounce your name. But to add to that, I want to join the chorus of viewers who deeply appreciate your style and content. You remind me of Destin Sandlin of Smarter Every Day, or Jimmy Diresta, because all of you bring an enthusiasm and respect to the process of creation. The internet can be a dark place, with lots of unfortunate content that does little to improve our lives - there's an infinite amount of opportunity for wasted time. Programs like yours help to create a global community, based on sharing knowledge and motivated by benevolence. To me, that is the foundation of mental health, and I think we can all use a dose of it every day, to counter the onslaught of misfortune that pervades the news cycle. Thank you for sharing your world with us.

Perfectly summed it up, I wish content like Eoin’s was pushed and promoted more. There’s far too much negative content out there that does nothing but creates fear and division between people. I found you on TH-cam shorts by just randomly looking what pops up, and I found you, and I have watched your TH-cam shorts for a long time now, and you always leave me fascinated in your enthusiasm for working with your hands, and traditional ways in your pieces you create . Its a passion you have, its creating beauty through your work, I once had that when I used to fix and restore machinery its a love something you hold dear to you a tale of musical symphony when do something you truly love ... the point I am getting to is , you remind me of me when I was younger and it brings me a smile seeing someone who has a passion for what they do. Some would say " I would hate to do that all day" and " How can you stand or bare doing that with your hands" and the answer is simple , if you find a love, passion of work like this then its not really work, its creating something beautiful that represents the best of you.. Keep up the good work Eoin, never let the music or passion die, because you will find yourself die along with it ..

First, I need to tell you that I came across your channel through YT Shorts that I have no idea why YT recommended to me. But I'm ever so glad they did those weeks ago. 👍
Second, I want you to know how much your videos make me smile. I think we all need that, and it feels like an ever-increasing requirement in life, and so I appreciate you providing that. I might not be able to watch every video you upload, and my online time doesn't coincide with your livestreams more often than not. But I very much enjoy watching your videos (which is why you are very much restricted from my driving playlist) so please keep sharing the things that interest you. 🧰
Lastly, I feel I must apologize - I'd never heard your name pronounced and so I've been saying it wrong in trying to direct people to watch your channel IRL. I've been spelling it for them, so if they've checked you out, they've been going to the right place at least. 😉

Watching your shorts helps me cause I see your persona so calm and charismatic and just restoring tools and making new things from ash oak and different material

Everything feels so retro. I love the aspect ratio, reminds me of older films and old youtube videos. Compliments the aesthetic of primarily using hand tools very well.

What a wonderful way to start my day. A nice cup of tea and a watch of young men using old and traditional tools and methods to make some amazing things. 😊

Hey man just wanted to say congratulations on your success. Your shorts started to pop up in my feed probably a year ago and I always enjoy them. You’re a great guy and I respect your appreciation for traditional craftsmanship. My grandpa taught me how to do many things with building and fixing stuff and seeing your videos remind me of him and his techniques and attention to detail. Big respects from Canada bud you’re a real standup guy 🫡

Loving all of your videos! I’ve already binged through every short and had decided before I was even halfway through to try my hand at woodwork myself. Keep up the good work and hopefully 2 summers from now I can have some know how under me as well lol.

I have never had any desire to move countries until seeing these videos. Now I'm ready to move if for nothing more than hearing this accent every day.
