Shark fishing with the rays!!!
Those cownose have been all over that area the last 2 weeks. Fowl hooked one last weekend on accident... thought I had a good red for a while.
It's cool watching your videos, we fish the same stuff.
I recall my first attempt at fly fishing was off a pier in the RGV (Arroyo City) under the lights, had a white fly and essentially pitched it out 3 tugs then repeat and on the third attempt, got me a 12 inch trout. I realized it's just like working a plastic where you retrieve and make it look natural, once it's in the water then retrieve it pretty simple. The difference is site fishing because you want to drop it near a fish.

You were already my favorite fishing youtuber..but after you the Halo music you keep using and now I see you watch Rust?! You ever think about doing a content crossover and do a little live streaming? LOL
I use a big popper (with rattle) that I tie and a 2 foot or so leader from the bend of the hook to a Clouser Minnow. It is the fly fishing equivalent of a popping cork and plastic! It works great in stained water.

Fun Fact, Cow Nose Ray's mate for life. You'll often see them in schools, when one is hooked the others will crowd around the hooked one to help push it as it fights.

damn maybe if i ever see you again on the jetty ill give you some of my spanish mackerel flies. they work really well for spanish mackerel when they are around, just a simple white and silver flash little ballyhoo / silver shad looking fly.

That's cool as hell I used to go bowfishing for carp 25 years ago but I've never seen anybody Bo fish in the ocean that's cool good shot do you use a trigger release or your fingers
No release just finger savers on the bow string.

How can you see in the water so well? I know you have polarized glasses but are some better than others?
Some are better but they work similarly. Getting up as high as you can, like me on the ice chest, helps a lot. But for the bowfishing the rays wings were coming out of the water.
