    Good cymbals. The XS20 line is made from the very same aged cast B20 as the AAX, and HHX top shelf lines. The only difference is the amount of hammering. The people complaining that these lack a lot to be desired are just looking at the price tag lol. I love the XS20 and personally, I can't tell the difference between the XS20 medium thin crashes and the AAX equivalents. Keep in mind, different rooms, mics, and setups play a significant part in how things sound.

    I am using Xs20 18 medium-thin crash along with my AAX and AA cymbals, and it keeps up pretty well. Love that cymbal.

    Trust me guys, I have the 16" crash and it sounds fantastic in person and better yet it cuts through a mix brilliantly

    I bought this set. You should too. (Unless you can't afford it/can afford better. But they're amazing cymbals for the price.)

    Yes the snare was the first thing I noticed

    I was impressed with the hi hats and the ride could be used as a crash but the two crashes were a little weak.

      Yeah i check out a video of the B8 Pro 20 and it sounds really nice kind of like my Zildjian A Custom Medium Crash. They are only $129 brand new so I am thinking if I can't find a cymbal used I just might check them out

      Well, depends on what sound you're going for. Personally, I prefer a smoother sounding cymbal since they're all overhead mic'ed on my sets anyways. If you like a more powerful cymbal that has a lot more sustain, it's going to be harsher. It all depends on what you're going for.

    While I doubt it’s as loud, the 18 sounds like my aaxplosion. The 16 sounds very weak.

    I have the 18" crash, in reality It Is a medium heavy crash, not medium thin.
    Sound very close to AA...great cymbal for the price.

    • @Catinthehackmatrix
      @Catinthehackmatrix 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      yes like AA , classic with long sustain, good for classic rock hugh?

    • @robsco1249
      @robsco1249 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Catinthehackmatrix yes, dark and high pitched, if you find It used it's a steal but I generally only buy real Turkish b20 handmade cymbals.

      That's a premier kit I think. Not sure about the heads. But you can tune most kits pretty decent if you know what you're doing. I've heard really bad kits sound better than dw's and its all in the tuning and care

  • @pawelmorrison

    Wow! Can you pleasee give me some specifics on how that bass drum is tuned? And head selection too. Sounds killer

    • @isiscruz9075
      @isiscruz9075 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tighten up both bass heads put a pillow for that de se muffled sound, put it in the middle or agai ts the head your hit your bass pedal with. Toghten them the same then try it how it sounds. If you don't like it lossen the batter bass/the bass head you hit with the pedal. Keep losening it till yoi get the sound you want. If its still not the right sound tighten the outside bass head tighter and do the whole process over again just the heads tigher next time.

    What range are these Sabian cymbals in? Would they be at the same level as say a Zildjian zbt, Zildjian S or a Paiste pst5 or 7? Or are they better than those mentioned?

    • @soundattak
      @soundattak  8 ปีที่แล้ว

    I dont know why anyone buys new cymbals. I got my hhx xplosions used (18 and 19) for 380 scouting around the internet. These XS20s are great for beginner but man do they lack body and depth.
