I've just discovered this video post and I am just BLOWN AWAY! What incredible footage...This could never be re-created...To see 3 GTOs &CA Spyder in their "real world" environment at the time and to see LA as it was 40+ yrs ago! U guys were so fortunate to have that great opportunity to experience these legendary cars at a time they could be enjoyed in such a fashion, and we viewers are so lucky that Peter had the desire to film such AWESOME footage and for you to share it with us! THANK U!
Awesome to see the GTOs driven the way Enzo intended long before the collector car mania turned all vintage Ferraris into garage queens. I'd give anything to have been there for this.
@GTO3987 Thank you for posting this amazing footage. I grew up with a Father who was Ferrari obsessed and regularly drove to meetings with him. I have been lucky enough to be driven in a few but never a GTO. My Dad finally got his own Fazz 10 years ago a 250 GTE he is very proud and regularly reminds me that it was on the production line with GTO's.
Oh my god. One of the best videos I´ve seen so far on youtube. Great footage, and I love the storys which are told about the cars and their owners. Thank you so much for this, would love to see more of that!
Absolutely amazing!!! Wow, Thank you Stephen for uploading the finest Ferrari video i have ever seen. I just keep watching it over and over. I was born 67 so just as i hit 19 your GTO went to Ralph for $650K. In recent years i have seen Nick Mason's UK GTO with licence plate 250 GTO at my local willow springs which is Oulton Park UK. Usually parked up dirty with half a sandwich on the passenger seat. Great to see them still being used like you guys did. Thanks again :)
Thank you! Thank you. This film gave me goose bumps. It really was another era. I can not imagine just walking on Mulholland Drive and seeing these cars just "race" past.. Impressive.
Great film! Must have been a great to drive these cars at a young age! I waited 25 years untill I could afford my Testarossa. I can't wait untill spring comes and I can take my Ferrari back out on dry and clean(roads in Norway are covered in salt and sand during winter) roads.
I still often watch this amazing video. I saw 15 GTOs together two weeks ago at the classic le mans. I wonder if any of the cars in this wonderful video were at the event. I took 3 videos that I have on my channel of the 15 GTOs. Were they there? I need to know :)
quick question: is the documentary already out? Thanks for the video. This makes it clear for me i'm gonna be a car nut later. Next year i'm gonna start my corporate career and i know where my savings will go.
Absolutely my favorite car in the world...nothing better ever!!!! Loved the video but it would have been so much less without the narration you did. Wonderful job. Saw the 22 or so at Monterey a couple years back and seeing about 10 of them in the Ferrari race at Laguna Seca was just the best event of the week.
Incredible footage of incredible cars! Thank you so much for this. Question but, you guys all seem so young in the clips. How did you afford Ferrari's at that age!?
Great stuff. I've always loved the GTOs. Speaking of, was that a convertible Pontiac GTO in the driveway at 2:14 ? Did anyone else hear "Highway Star" by Deep Purple as the background music. Krikey, I'm showing my age again !
Apparently Peter Helm's California (3185) has been registered in Lower Saxonia, Germany for some time, not far from where I live. Repainted red and with a hardtop. The more you know... However the current owner prefers to remain anonymous. Did Mr. Helm's car had a hardtop when he owned it?
when and why did u sell the GTO???what was the price??thank you for posting i can't imagine myself being 21 and owning a GTO......i guess i would cry when i start the engine....not to brag but i got the Ferrari side emblem tattooed on my heart....the only ferraris i saw where the california the new one........a 360.....a couple 599.....so my dream is to drive a GTO....just once....thank you again for posting this....God bless you :)
How do you feel about RL removing the lights and god-knows-what-else during his "restoration". BTW RL never had an original idea in his entire life/career.

That is an upside down proposition today

Ferrari 250s and GTOs, just WOW!
lovely period footage , I even loved that Karmann Ghia at 0:24 overtaking all those fast Ferraris (today I would settle for that KG )
Great stuff. I've always loved the GTOs.

What is the story on the 250LM?

Sold it for a Ghibli! Wow

"Sold his GTO in order to buy a Ghibli". I would fucking kill myself... Nowadays it's like selling a house in order to buy a chocolate bar.
