    Love the content about our native shrimps.
    Please cover about fresh water shrimps in river kaveri in karanataka.
    Ive seen a lot of shrimps the biggest one was around 1.5 inches in length. Unfortunately i couldnt get a closer look at it to see the pattern on it. It was translucent.

      Thanks for the information Himanshu. Which river or exact location can you tell? We travel around in search of wild fauna and may try to visit if possible :)

    Same shrimps can be found in streams of Konkan, Maharashtra.
    Green Shrimp, Rainbow Shrimp and the brown one are more common. I also found Hygrophila Pinnatifida in few streams.

      Yes I have heard that before also. Thanks for the information. I plan to visit and see Pinnatifida growing wild. That would be a great experience

    Nice and informative video👍 I want to set up a low maintenance without filtration planted tank,what shrimp species do you suggest me to keep?

    • @ripplesnatureinspiredaquar6870
      @ripplesnatureinspiredaquar6870  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Go for neo-caridina varieties like red cherry shrimp.... they are normally easy to keep as long as you do not have predators....but no filtration may not be a good idea... I will not suggest keeping wild caught ones

    Sir, Indian ghost shrimp planted tank e ki rakha jay, with some tetras and guppy s.

    • @ripplesnatureinspiredaquar6870
      @ripplesnatureinspiredaquar6870  ปีที่แล้ว

      I am not sure which shrimp you are referring to as Indian Ghost Shrimp. If it's another name for all shrimps shown in the video, then you can safely keep tetras and guppys with them

    • @ripplesnatureinspiredaquar6870
      @ripplesnatureinspiredaquar6870  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for reaching out Rohit and we will definitely try our level best to help you. First, wattage is not a true representative of the light needed for a tank it's more important to focus on the composition of light. Even if you go with wattage, 38 W is too low for a 3 by 1.5 by 1.5 ft tank. You should have 100 to 130 W if you want good growth and coloration in stem plants. Also, try to introduce some red LEDs and reduce White LEDs. It is the abundance of blue spectrum in most White LEDs that leads to algae. If possible go for a good lighting system. There are a few made in India brands which are quite effective.
      Regarding controlling hair algae do the following:
      1) Do frequent water changes, at least 2/3 times a week about 20-30%
      2) Introduce Red Nose shrimps. I have spoken about it in the video
      3) Use APT Fix it can help you control the algae. There is a video on this as well
      Finally, we also need to understand your filtration system as well as your water temperature before we can comment further.
