Hey guys, I'm back with another video!! So, for todays video I decided to sit down and watch a movie NO ONE asked for... Teen Beach Movie!! Recently I've been obsessed with the soundtrack again, which awakened by forgotten love for this movie. As a child I was totally obsessed with it, to the point where I learnt every routine etc. So hope you enjoy this wild and very random video! Enjoy!! xoxox

Fun fact: Ross lynch was a part of an invite only Billy Elliot Broadway boot camp as a child. They trained a bunch of selected boys in ballet, tap, acro, voice and dialect in the hopes of choosing some of those boys to go into the Broadway production of Billy Elliot the musical (Tom holland was in the west end show) Ross never made it into the show but got some incredible training. He also then did A Chorus Line at the Hollywood bowl and really held his own in such a hard dance show. He is a better dancer then he gets credit for.
Also this is very reminiscent of Brigadoon and ending up in a musical.
You should watch Shmigadoon!!!!!!!!!!! It’s excellent and your musical theatre heart will geek out.
if i'm not mistaken, the choreographer of this movie choreographed A Chorus Line
that's a really cool coincidence even if it's a very popular musical

This movie came out when I was 12, and now I’m 21. I’m proud of myself that I still know all the words to all the songs 😌💗 This was my childhood, so much nostalgia I felt watching this video. Will forever be my favorite Disney Channel movie ❤️😍

Shameless plug for Maia Mitchell’s strongest association for me, a family drama called The Fosters. So underrated, and it was a trailblazer of representation in the States.
the fosters is soooooooo good, ik people say things change them all the time but fr the fosters changed me. the lgbtqia+ representation was everything. i grew up in a house where i didn’t even know the word gay existed until i was in 5th grade and people started to call me gay and slurs and so i became internally homophobic to myself because in reality, i was gay, and couldn’t except it but after watching the fosters, especially with jude, it really changed me.
@@corimcmaster3911 No but actually, The Fosters was actually life-changing for 12 year-old me. The first queer rep I'd seen in a TV show or movie up until that point. Nico from the Percy Jackson universe had only come out a little before that, so my view of queerness was fundamentally altered just in time for puberty to really flip everything on its head.
Fun fact: Maia Mitchell is actually surfing in the movie. They trained her everyday to do it.
Omg I finally got the ”I’m Mac” thing in the end! It’s because in the first song she is uncomfortable with the bit where everyone said their names, but then she embraces the weirdness in the end and said “I’m Mac!🤪” as she was supposed to in the first song! 🤯
Everything about this movie is ICONIC, even down to Grandpa, played by Rocky Horror Picture Show's Barry Bostwick! This movie came out while I was in college and I played the soundtrack nonstop in my dorm room!

Loved this whole movie series and all the other iconic films Hannah Montana, Camp Rock, High School Musical, etc. Those were incredible times

brad this is random but I just finished watching a series called Black Sails - it's about pirates, it's queer, it's diverse, it's so gritty and so well written - incredible characterisation and lots of twists and turns, I stayed up til 3am last night just to finish the finale. It has literally become my favourite tv show and I think you'd love it!! just a cheeky rec lmao

And the 'Lela: Queen of the Beach' movie that we got at the end of the sequel (that didn't quite work but I could see what they ere trying to do and the song and dance numbers were good) - I keep viewing it as a 90s remake/'based on/inspired by' movie of 'Wet Side Story' in a 'labour of love that gave it it's own spin on a classic while also keeping the feel and the style of the original'.
And that crazy movie about the robot that became a vampire that gave salsa lessons that Mack said - curious about whether it would be a case of them coming up with a crazy way to connect it all or if they'd give absolutely no reasons what so ever.
