I think its mainly because of his height itself
The human body actually isn't that suited to maintain such a large height, mainly because the heart can't properly pump blood to all parts of the body(especially the head and brain) when you're that large
Theres also the square-cube law that basically means Wadlow's bones had to support alot more weight than the normal person because while strength increases by surface area, weight increases by volume
I read that he had leg braces because he could barely support himself, and one time he got a wound from his brave and it went septic and killed him

I said this in a reply but the main reason why Wadlow died so young is because the human body isn't suited for such a crazy height. His heart would've needed to work extra hard to get blood to every part of the body, especially the head where the brain is

Edit: Yes I'm aware he actually died due to a leg infection. Braces he had on his legs were poorly-fitted once and caused a septic blister which lead to his death
Though, you can say it was indirectly caused by his height. The braces were there to assist his legs in holding himself up, and by then he had little feeling in them
It was an unfortunately young death and I do think he would've lived past that if only the infection never happened, but I highly doubt he would've lived an average lifespan

The crazy thing about Wadlow was how proportionate he was to his height. Most of the tallest people ever were just extremely tall, but extremely skinny. Take Manute Bol for example, he wasn't one of the tallest people ever, but he was the tallest person to ever play in the NBA, standing at 7 foot 7, and weighting only 200 pounds, which is extremely unhealthy for someone of his height. His coaches had to take drastic measures to keep his weight up. So, they made him drink lots and lots of beer, even before games. His coaches even announced that he had never played a sober game of basketball in his entire career. Anyways, if you compare Manute to Wadlow, Wadlow looked like a much healthier person, because weighed 439 pounds, over twice the weight of Manute. Wadlow, however, died young because his heart could not keep up with his growing height.

I was 6 feet at 11-12 yrs old. Definitely did not feel like a blessing back then. Luckily i was popular, but people seriously underestimate tall peoples insecurities about being too tall and skinny.
Im 6 feet 4 now and no longer look unaturally tall compared to my friends, so i guess i just grew early.
If your tall you need to be a heavier weight because the taller you are the easier it is to put weight on so if you where skinny that’s just your poor lifestyle habits nothing to do with being tall
I knew this one fella first year of secondary school so 11-12 definitely 6ft+.
We had an assembly and some people got a chance to stand up and talk about how they’ve been bullied and he stood up and told us about how people called him horrible names because of his height. He was quite popular in the long run, quite a nice chap.

Fun fact about Robert Wadlow:
After he passed away at the age of 22, he was buried in his hometown of Alton, Illinois. Because of his height, he could not fit in a normal casket. His casket was longer and higher than most people’s caskets. If you visit his grave, you can see a lump on the ground due to how large the casket was.

In our small town, Robert Wadlow is a huge part of our interesting history which dates back all the way to the civil war era!

Well, in British folklore there was a man called Jack’o’legs and he was 14 feet tall. He was said to have stolen from the rich and give to the poor (this was before robin hood was even imagined) and he was a brilliant archer due to his height. One day some local bakers had enough of Jack stealing from them and they captured him. They blinded him with a red hot poker and before they killed him they let him fire one arrow. They said wherever the arrow lands and is where he’d be buried. He shot the arrow from around Baldock today and it landed around 4 miles away in Weston. That is where he was buried. If you go to the churchyard in Weston today you can see his grave, there are 2 rocks around 14 feet away from each other and are said to mark where his head and feet are. I went there myself and saw his grave.

I grew up in Alton, Illinois which the same place Robert Wadlow grew up in, there is a life sized statue of him here, I am 6’8 which is considered pretty tall, I remember standing by his statue and feeling so incredibly small for the first time in my life. This man was so huge it is insane
I was at Ripley's believe it or not in Niagara Falls where they have a full sized model of him. Incredible how tall he really is. They also had a model of the chair he used which was probably 3x the size of a normal chair.

If I remember right, he had some metal connected to his legs to help him walk, and he dies from infection from the metal against his skin, also I don't think he would survive much more with that height

He was actually in a gang, and he was their best fighter. Well, not really. He would walk into a room of people he wanted dead, and they would just run away, imagine a 9 foot giant ducks under a door and just looks at you
