    Just one guitar and the keyboard in this song. They usually had a bass player playing the bass parts in the studio, but live Ray played them with his left hand.

    Another song written by Robby Krieger, the guitarist. ( He wrote light my fire and touch me as well. ) Robby wrote some of their more popular songs, and Jim wrote the big esoteric poetic songs.

    I was born April 1954. I grew up with the Greatest Music In History. The 60s set the table for the 70s and the early 80s and we all thrived on the best bands ever making incredible music, before it all started to go Digital with forms of noise I refuse to call music.

    Always liked this song. The Doors were one of those groups that when they came on the radio you just couldn't turn it off until the song ended.

    Wow… I was happy to see another Doors song! I saw them live many moons ago… it was an amazing concert. I grew up loving their music and bought all of their albums and listened to them all the time. Someone mentioned the song “Alabama Song (Whiskey Bar)” I would LOVE to see your reaction that that song! You guys would like “The Lovin’ Spoonful” Great songs like
    “You didn’t have to be so nice” (1965) or “Do you believe in magic” (also 1965] They were unique and had many good songs. Thanks for this reaction! 🙂

    At 12 years old......The Doors first album was the first album I bought with my own money because I knew my parents would not like the lyrics in all the songs….BUT I LOVED THEM.
    Smoked cannabis for the fist time listening to "Light My Fire" Changed my life like so many other great albums from that time.

    I like the bro on the right a lot more than the one on the left. The left one seems to be more uptight and stoic and less excitable. He doesn’t react as strongly to the music. He also tends to mock the way the singers sing. I’ve seen him do this in many videos.

      Manzarek played the bass parts on his organ in concert. In the studio, they used very skilled bass players like Doug Lubahn, Larry Knechtel & Jerry Scheff.

    To me his voice didn't match his face, he had a baby face, his voice had such strength and growl to it. Gone way to early at 27. He was a member of the 27 club, Hendrix, Joplin.
