Video describes the work required to fit a RMZ250 mudguard to clear a WARP9 fork brace. Mudguard was trimmed and a mudguard brace fabricated and fitted.
Might have a different profile again. Not sure. If I recall correctly it might have a big step just forward of triple clamp? Anyway, you'll work it out 😀👍
@@lifelongmotorcycling I actually doesn’t have a step up. It’s a bit tight between the fork boots but it works. If I had a fork brace, I’d have to make mod it like you. Makes me think: maybe the RMZ250 Fender and the DRZ fender are almost identical. It does not touch the header pipe though.
@@doctormaddix2143 That's a win then! Mines is supposedly a fit for DR but as you've seen, some mods required. "Fits all = Fits none" 😀 Thanks for your comments.
Turned out great! The stock mud guard is really big and affected by cross winds. Great improvement!
Thanks - it looks pretty good. Bit of faffing about and fabrication but all good at the end of the day.
My painting sucks! 🤣
DOC!
I put an Acerbis RM250 front fender on my DR. Only modification was to drill a hole for the speedo cable guide.
That's a good result. 👍
My video shows the maximum mods 😀
I just received the DRZ front fender for my DR, looks fairly similar to the RMZ fender. Looking forward to installing it!

Good clean solution to your clearance issue. Looks nice.
Thanks mate...worked out pretty good rather than the big flappy one.
UFO yz450f front fender, part #YA04809-001 is another option although the mount holes dont quite line up.
