Thank you for the guide! Usually its just guides from super advanced players to players that doesn't need guides in the first place. No base kit guides, only 50 str one-tap builds that win the game for you if enemy made a mistake and let himself get right-clicked, while 24 druid is more about not making a single mistake and punish every single one of your enemy, because they can do ten mistakes per battle, you can only one. The only thing you didn't cover is that you should be more versatile in terms of changing forms. Change as fast as necessary, your enemy is close and has weapon out? Swap as a bear immediately. Your enemy is running away or decided it would be a good idea to shoot you with a bow/drop some curses/throw an ice bolt on you while you in bear - instantly become panther and nibble them until they realize their mistake and swap to melee again, where they could be easily killed as a bear or forced to run once again to be chased with panther once again. My tips for 24 gearscore classes match-up: Fighter - if this is a PDR fighter, just right click them with a bear, your range and impact power allows you to hit them much more than them and deal much more damage than you get. And once they decide to run or retire for a heal - panther, until they pull their weapon out. They are so slow you easily can not allow them to heal, or deal free damage as panther once they decide that drinking potions in front of druid is a good idea. If you are both low - retreat and heal. Longsword is tough, you can only match fighter's DPS as a bear while right-clicking, but each right-click is a risk of getting parried and riposted to death. Left click deals much less damage and can be parried too, so... it's a tough battle in sub 25. Barbarian - just a bear once they are at close, and always use the method of looking up when right-clicking. The only weapon that could match your range is a bardiche, other axes are just too short to even hit you if you time it correctly. And once they are running - panther, finish them off if they are low or just deal some free damage and prevent healing. If you are low, retreat and heal up.If you do it right, you will win battle of attrition eventually. Rogue - there is two types of rogues. Landmines and mosquitoes. First one aren't that dangerous. If you are paranoid enough, you won't get caught off-guard, but even if that, you have dreamwalk. If you are chased by mobs, run across the crowd of mobs in dreamwalk and heal. If not, try to summon a treant below your feet, and then instantly turn into a bear. If you successfully "disarm" the landmine, rogue could only hopelessly sway his daggers in unfair battle against the bear, and if decides to run, being outrun by a panther. Mosquitoes is not as dangerous, but much more difficult to kill. Try to soak their first crossbow hit as a bear, wait until the bleeding is gone, turn into a panther, and chase. When crossbow is reloaded or he gets his knifes, become a bear and right-click. Running? Panther. It could be hard to pull off, but once in a while they run out of space to run to, you can corner them and finish them off. Or refuse fighting them if landscape is awful for you. Also sometimes they get cocky when you pretend to be severely hit by their toothbrushes and try to finish you off, exposing themselves to get right-clicked. Ranger - very tough battle. You can close the distance as a rat and then turn into a bear if they trying to melee you off or a panther if they are running away. But if they have awesome aim, spear and/or traps... you better not fight them at all. Just let them be in their fortified module alone, and if they get out of it - then you could try to use this method. But its risky nonetheless. Wizard - dodge their fireballs from the distance as a human, and then rush as a panther with dash. Magic missiles? Cancelled. Ice bolt? Good luck with hitting that one in dodging panther buddy. But anyway, its hard, especially if wizard isn't stupid. Cleric - the only cleric that you can have problem with - smite justice cleric. Otherwise just wait out their smite and attack as a bear, poking them with dreamfire. Bard - they could be tough if they space you correctly, but here is some tips. If they are singing some song in front of you - it's a free damage as a panther. If they are cornered - bear. If they are trying to kite you with a survival bow - soak some hits as a bear on purpose and pretend to run away healing. Then, when they think "he is low, I have to finish him off and chase", cut off they retreat with treant/thorn barrier and turn bear. Warlock - if you are full hp, just push them in dreamwalk or even in panther, then dash and mute. If melee - bear, if running away in fantomize - panther chase and silence if dash isn't on cooldown. Yes, curse of pain is annoying and painful. But on the short distance, you are dealing much more damage in melee as a panther. Demon form... just wait it out. They will get angry, they will get cocky and they will get free damage. And once they aren't a demon - fight them as usual. Druid - don't see them often. Its all about the skill and luck.
Just starting to watch this guide (which I can already tell is perfect for noobs). 100% agree about how much time it takes to START getting good. I've reached level 110 as Druid, & I'm only now starting to get a hang of how to bring the kit together cohesively. Hve watched all the guides I could find, & there's definitely a TON that gets left out by the advance players. It's all become so instinctive & "obvious" to them after 500+ hours of play, that they glance over some of the basics. Thanks for starting out w/ such a fitting intro. Can tell this will be fantastically helpful.
I love the pve section. Could you give tips for some of the harder enemies to deal with? Spearmen Bowmen Bolos I know yeti cant hit rat but i feel like i get mopped when i do fight him

Fun fact! Will and Magic Power actually does something for druids, though i believe it's more of an exploit. With the patch that allowed for druid's natures touch spell to scale with Magic Healing, it also made it scale with Magic Power bonuses, too. On top of that, the added healing is actually applied AFTER any transformation stat changes. So TL/DR: Stack at least 15 - 25% MPwr and use natures touch, then go into rat form. You'll heal pretty much to full about as fast as in Mending Grove.
Btw you were talking about pants, copperlight pants give you 3 strength very good alternative, especially if you farm the copper yourself otherwise they can be quite expensive
True! I didn’t mention because they’re typically too expensive for newer ppl and don’t provide much more value on a bell curve. But if you can afford it they are definitely good
the "druid is op" crows is really just pathetic imo. and they are the reason i starte playing the class in the first place. just can not handle that certain characters play completly different. it is the same with stuff like yoshimitsu from tekken. btw. i can recommend to alway go rat form if you heal, atleas generally because you need to be careful in pvp situations. it heals way faster! i usually just use touch and a pot, then go rat, depending on how lazy i feel lol

You CAN take 5 spells. But at this gear level it’s better to take more strength or vigor than it is to stack that much knowledge. And your 5th spell isn’t really core so you don’t lose much by not taking it.

@kahuuna1401 The mobility he has plus the ability to full reset. He is a rogue and a barbarian with bear and panther. Also in under 125 he is op because his damage is not based off his weapons which cost way higher gear score. So he can be in a strong kit and still hit just as hard without better quality weaponry. It is always the no profile picture people trying to counter a claim with zero evidence. I would love to hear a logical rebuttal but I doubt that will ever come.
@127twilson Panther and bear are SOOO rough if you have less than like 30 Agi/30 Strength. You have to build em up with gear, so in squire gear you get absolutely boxed. Warlock can also fully reset and has cracked movement speed, so your argument about full reset also applies to Warlock! (At low level) Druids have mobility yeah, but it's to balance out our COMPLETE lack of ranged ability. We are a versatile class. Jack of all trades, but master of none. Barbs hit harder, fighters have more PDR, warlocks have more survivability, wizards have more ranged magic, clerics have more heals. We have more mobility!
You need to have gear to make your animal forms viable since with no gear panther is like a rouge you can’t take any damage and your bear barley does more then a spear but with gear yes Druid is good

Mastering the rat theough door technique is hard on its own. It looks easy, until you try it.
Even when you master it, one mistake during a fight and you can easily cook yourself lol. Trust me 🙃

Holding W and left click doesn’t work against everybody and i think thats a hard pill to swallow for a lot of players 😆
Thorncoat doesn't reduce the damage you take. It only deals damage to the enemy.
u can fix the bear transformation by just panther jumping then going bear and using the momentum to land on people
i have also found pather to be stronger in under 24 gs

full darkgrove stuff is better than the pure str stuff, at least for duo/trio. if you get enough will your heals will tick for crazy amounts

If it wasn’t the hit box changing then certain enemies have had their tracking improved vs rats for instance skeleton and goblin archers
