ROCK CRAWLING FARMINGTON NM- First Trip To the Legendary Choke Cherry Canyon!

- We load up to take the 7 hour trip to the Legendary Choke Cherry Canyon in Farmington NM to see if this place is still as good as it was in its prime.
This covers our trip to Farmington and our first morning wheeling there and let me tell you. The rocks there are liars!!!! Looks like Moab so you would thin that it would have traction like Moab..... NOT AT ALL. The rocks and lines all had dust so you had to commit to every obstacles no crawling or flirting. You had to strait up marry the obstacles over there or they would crush you.
The community over there is the strongest wheeling community that I have yet to witness. We contacted a couple locals before going 2 days in advanced and we had so many show up and show us around. You break they will do anything and everything to make sure that you are put back together.
The trails out there were also very cool how you could have anywhere from a daily wheeler to a rear steer hit the same trail and there were lines that everyone could hit to challenge there rig and skills.

Choke cherry canyon is a bucket list trail for us. Crushicon needs that trail. For sure awesome vid
I have wanted to wheel there for so long but just never committed. I regret not getting out there sooner.
Now that looks like a blast!! That was also the best almost flip, non flip ever.
It was such a blast!!! My dude Alex is a beast. If you notice he just laughs smiles and lets that Manche do its thing. Best off road attitude I have ever witnessed.
Definitely an awesome attitude to have especially when it comes to Wheeling!!

Chokecherry Canyon is one of only a couple of things I miss about Farmington, I used to be out there or Rock Garden at least once a week for 20 years. Rock crawling is by far the most fun I've ever had off road...
Its crazy because they are still breaking new trails out there to this day.
@@WRECKEDGEAR I lost count years ago, but I heard a rumor a few years back that there were 93 established trails/obstacles out there with trailhead GPS coordinates. Looks like you guys camped/started out at Brown's Spring, then hit Lower Rim Trail & Second Playground before Gladiator. You can wheel for months out there and never run the same trail twice...
Farmington is great, the Chokecherry Crawlers are another great group down there as well!
How often you get out that way?
@@WRECKEDGEAR I used to make it there once or twice a year, but I have been slacking lately. I still catch up with the Chokecherry crew on other trips as well, they are a fun group!

I agree!!! Luckily we make up for it in wheeling!. Watch some of our newer stuff. the music still sucks but the wheeling gets better and better.
