I was just at a lounge with some girls, and I couldn't have a fun time because the music was demeaning and blaspheming GOD. I realize that this music is not only negative, but found out that music has negative frequencies that are sent out from the music. I enjoy dancing and music but not music that demean us as a people or blasphme Christ name. Thank You ls for your view point it is much needed. much love

I am a dance instructor, my students asked me more hip hop and more modern music: Reggaeton, hip hop, etc. I was asking Lord a couple years ago what should I do, I am Christian and do not have a peace and I am so love to dance. Lately my feet hurt, I am not teaching and do not listen a secular music for 55 days and I have a peace. I said to Lord if it will be there any opportunity I will dance Christian music and teach my students. Will see what is Lord's plan for me...

Wow. Just recently God delivered me from listening to secular music. When I say that i used to love hip hop and r&b, I mean it was my everything. I was a christian yet i would listen to many worldly songs like it was wrong or nothing when in reality I was feeding my spirit with all kinds of junk. Secular Music was something that i wanted to hold on too badly like I gave up everything else to God but I didnt want to give him this part of my life. I prayed about it and God really dealed with me

I like how she said just cuz they say thank God for the world doesn't mean that they are Christian. They can be thanking any God or they can be their own God

Good message from two young girls! Refreshing to see people like them taking a stand for Christ.
Just make sure we're edifying Christ and not the artist and beats while listening to Christian music.

on this issue. A guy friend at my church was always giving me christian rap cd's that he would make and the more and more I listened to it the more I came to like it. Now I'm listening to people like Canton Jones, Trip Lee, and Lecrae and thats just a small list out of the most I listen to. It's a beautiful thing cuz the music I once loved is something that I despise now and God gave me better music that is not filled with pride, lust and money but with life and that glorifies Jesus

I respect P4CM and appreciate their boldness and dilligence for the Kingdom of God. Thank you for sharing the scriptures. God's word is bond. Thank you for your testimonies. Hey, I stopped listening to all secular music two years ago. Best decision. We have to be careful about the evil we let into our spirits from radio and ipod speakers. It's insidious.

Phil Wickham is great. My favorite Christian Rock bands are Kutless, Fee, High Flight Society, Tenth Avenue North, Sanctus Real and Jesus Culture (the worship is amazing). The messages these bands have been releasing for the Kingdom of God have really turned my life around. No more secular music in my life.

hey girls thanks for this video, i have been contemplating about this the last couple of days so this is actually perfect timing for me to see. i have recently found myself listening to christian music hardcore the last couple of weeks and yesterday i was like...ok let me take a break and listen to some r&b and hip hop. and i literally listened to not even a whole song before i started to realize how much ME ME ME was in the song. And i have never noticed that before.

Great video! Just a word for people giving up worldly music, don't be so quick to substitute Christian music for worldly music. After feeding ur soul with garbage for years now is the time to stop and listen to what God has to say. Let him lead u because there are wolves in sheep clothing even in the Gospel/Christian industry. GOD BLESS!

I would add that Christians should be careful of the "Christian Music" that they listen to as well. There is a huge infiltration of occult symbolism and new age beliefs within the "Christian" music industry. Many of these artists are not who they say they are. Good points and I encourage you to keep Ephesians 5:15 in mind, that we are always careful & wise, even of things that come in Christian packaging. Blessings to you both!

I'm so proud of you guys man.
I'm glad you guys are using TH-cam to speak truth.
And for the many who think illuminati is fake, it really isn't.
I know a girl who knows about it first hand, but God rescued her and now we all go evangelizing on friday/saturday nights to spread God's love and truth.
James 4:4 You adulterous people, don't you know that friendship with the world is hatred toward God? Anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.
    its all or nothing.

Thank you for your testimony. I posted it on my blog. I vet all the music that I listen to for things that aren't spiritually healthy. It's simple. You can't be pure and fill up your soul with junk. The pleasure of the music makes the ideas in the music seem more tolerable and acceptable. It's like a sugar addiction. Once you're off it, and you want healthy foods, you don't want to go back.

Magnificent testimony that cuts to the heart of the matter: if it justifies sin, it is emnity with G-d. There truly is no acceptable justification at all for sin. We simply must live a HOLY lifestyle, not a life of compromise.

I agree w/ u ladies I would like to add something:I believe that if the Holy Spirit is working in someone, music with particular messages would not sit right with them,it takes time to learn these things. A person has to be serious in his or her walk with Christ in order to judge music based on the way that his/her Spirit responds. I know there are certain artists & songs that don't sit right with me, and I choose nt to listen to them b/c they don't add anything to my life, it doesn't enrich me.

I think it's best to be wary of what you put into your heart and mind. To listen past the catchy rhythms and tunes, because there can be some serious symbolism hidden in places. For stuff that's obvious, I think it's best to understand the effect of listening to it repetitively.

I wud think that even tho Im not having sex killing folks & being prideful like was being talked in the music that it was ok but now i realize it was not. That stuff does have an effect on you rather you realize it or not. There is so much good christian rappers out there that u can listen to. Have u heard of Lecrae?

I agree that music for (some) people can lead them to sin. I think content often goes unnoticed and it's important to know what you are listening to lyrics wise. I think the term secular music is interesting as well, I create music/poetry and although my content might not directly deal with God i still deem the content to be that of substance. For some people perhaps the best thing to do is not listen to any secular music if that is their stumbling block.

I completely agree with you two girls, and may God help you remain in that position and may He also reveal more of himself to you. I think the thing to do is to make sure you're born again. That's what Jesus said we need. A new birth and a new spirit. When the spirit of God is in you, you won't even have the desire for things of this world anymore. It won't be a struggle to give up anything. I like what you girls have to say anyways! Big ups!

@rachelness3sings I believe she was trying to make the point that it should not have to be that a Christian learns that their favorite artist(s) is or is not an illuminati member before they do not listen to that artist. Their lyrics, that absolutely do not glorify God, should be that which allows the Christian to know not to listen to those artists.

Trip Lee, Sho Baraka, Tedashii, Json, Flame, Bizzle, Thi'sl, PRo, Mouthpi3ce, KJ-52, Still Trill Christians (Aj McQueen), so anybody from The Crossmovement or 116 Crew. Hope this helps!! =)

I totally agree but one thing i must say is that u never told ppl in the vid how u stopped listening to these type of music (did u stop cold or did it take some time?) and do u listen to gospel music or not? I also want to say that it does matter if someone finds out that an artist is in illuminati, if that is what it takes for that person to not listen to that music/artist anymore.

@rachelness3sings think they're saying it more to the fact that people get caught up in the arguments and decide to not listen to Jay Z, but if you're still unbelieving or a believer that will listen to artists similar to Jay Z, then it doesn't matter the bottom line is accepting and living for Jesus not getting caught up on individual sins.

  • @AshleyT116
    @AshleyT116 14 ปีที่แล้ว

@rachelness3sings we are referring to those who choose to stop listening to particular artist simply because of the fact that they are in Illuminati, we say this because not all artist are known to be in Illuminati yet they still dishonor the name of God, therefore, if their only motivation for not listening to this music is the fact that they may be from Illuminati does that mean you can listen to all those other artist who dishonor God? that is what we meant.

Music was created to glorify God who wants to build us, heal us, perfect us, and strengthen us. By listening to only christ devoted music, I've become a better person inside and out. I would listen to hardcore rap and hiphop and I was drawn to it because the lyrics fed the pain, sorrow, and voids being held within me. Everyone's walk with God is different, but you have to take it upon yourself to see if the music you allow in your spirit is uplifiting your soul or feeding your voids.

It is safe to listen to love music when you are in love but to keep it on the safe side, when you are married. Don't listen to it if you're single because the devil will only make you lust for love and love in this world is not the love you will be looking for

@eagles4christ even songs that don't have bad language in them have a meaning that i "worldy" and it pulls us away from the truth Christ teaches us. Some of those songs are filled with lies, lies we want to believe. So I'd be careful to say that you don't have to give up ALL types of secular music. You should ask God for discernment. Sometimes you have to be really careful... but let God tell you so pray and ask him. Most important thing is to seek him if what you desire is to love him back. :)

I disagree with Flyleaf and Relient K. They are in the world and not holding up the banner. Many of them do shows with secular artists as well. I do have all of Phil Wickham's stuff, one of Bethany's CDS, JJ. Heller is EXCELLENT, I have all of her stuff, Commissioned, Mercy Me, Mike's Chair, is my current fav band, their lyrics are BEAUTIFUL!!
You young ladies are on track though. When you are filled with the Holy Spirit, it will contend with what you take in, movies too.
