I get that they don’t want to increase the price point for Sapphire Falls, but because they have it now as a Signature Hotel along side the ones that used to be called Premier Hotels, they should have at least added the single ride express pass (the one where you can only ride using the exp pass once on each ride as opposed to unlimited, which the other hotels have.) I have stayed at both SapphireFalls and Royal Pacific and as a hotel, I love Sapphire Falls so much better than RP! If they added the single time express pass to Sapphire Falls I would stay there EVERY time! But without express pass, during busy seasons, RP is going to win out every time. 😢
Well… I am sure you know behind the scenes folks over there… feel free to suggest it to them and see what they say! I will gladly let you steal the idea if it gets the job done! Lol I want my express pass at Sapphire Falls! 😭😂🤪 lol
We're local passholders, so express pass isn't important to us. Sapphire Falls is our favorite place to staycation! The water taxi is our favorite perk. Can't recommend Strong Water Tavern enough! Delicious food & drinks, specifically the rum Old Fashioned and pork belly tacos, stellar service, and great atmosphere.
We’ve chosen this hotel for our 2025 trip from the UK. Previously stayed at Portofino & Royal Pacific. We just can’t justify the near double price tag this time for the express that we won’t use for the whole trip and will make do without it. Hotel looks on par with the other two in terms of style and luxury with a better price tag which is more important to us.
Strong Water Tavern is SO GOOD and the boat to the parks is so nice. The one thing I didn't like at Sapphire Falls is the pool. I know, it looks like a great pool and that's why we stayed there, actually. The sand bar walkway in the middle of the pool breaks it up in a bad way. It's like 2 separate pools which I wasn't a fan of. Also, the pool was crazy crowded with kids jumping in left and right. That's my 2 cents 😊
We just came back from that hotel. No discounts for annual pass holders. Cons they don’t have a lot of good places to eat. Amista isn’t great. Quality of food was horrible not worth the price. Took us over 2 hours - ( we had to pack up our dessert because the wait was horrible . People that came after us got their food before us. ( they ordered a steak like us ) Pro -The place is pretty. The shampoos are nice.
You should've gone to Strong Water Tavern. It's the best place in all of Universal resort. The rum Old Fashioned goes down smooth and the pork belly tacos are some of the best I've ever had. Great atmosphere and stellar service too. We're local passholders and it's become our favorite date night. I agree with you about Amista. They failed at both breakfast & dinner and we won't be back.
My only gripe on these type of vids, is your constantly comparing these hotels to Disney, which is fine, but not all of us stay at Disney and universal, we have done cabanabay, and sapphire is fantastic also, and we do use sapphire when leaving parks etc or city walk, but there’s also a few top hotels on idrive ish area that give a quality similar, Rosen centre, hyatt regency, Hilton Orlando, and although I know, they arnt park branded hotels, or near the gates, they do however have a large percentage of park guests that book them due to the multiple bars and eating options, great pools also, arcade rooms and gyms, great views, and when epic is finished will see an even more amount of guests using them, same for the hotels outside of SeaWorld, that most of the creators seem to leave out, or cherry pic their moments of when to use them for content, the hotels in and around pointe, possibly shingle creek will see plenty of footfall next year, not all of us stay at Disney I’m afraid, and for some of us, once the kids out grow it slightly, Disney ends up in the rear mirror due to its cost, where universal seems to be slipping towards…. 😳🇺🇸🏴
I appreciate the feedback and we do have plans to do reviews on many of the friendly neighbor hotels!! The on-site resorts are just the ones which I have personally stayed at so I only feel comfortable reviewing those at this time!
I just looked to compare, is it the pros and cons thumbs up that my team used? The sapphire falls image and hotel photo are completely different so I’m guessing that’s it? There is only so many different ways to cover hotel content. We might have the same topic but I’m sure my insight could be different from theirs 👍🏻

This is what I've been saying for so long. Limited express passes should be included for sure!!🎉🎉
Great minds think alike! 😊

Yep, I really loved the rum old fashioned too & love to hear that you always have a great time!!
Pumpkin lord throw back 🙌
Thanks for the review, we are coming from the UK in early December for a week and really looking forward to staying at Sapphire Falls.
Hope you have an amazing time!!

Thank you so much for checking out our video!!
So what changed about this hotel to be in a higher tier now? Nothing?🤔..... is it more expensive now? Any extra benefits?
To be honest as of right now nothing has changed which is a big reason why we created this video!
I can't believe they moved Sapphire Falls to the top tier but didn't include the express pass. Bummer!
I agree, wish they would have added it!!

So sorry to hear that you had a poor meal but I do hope you enjoyed everything else on your trip!!

Beautiful hotel
It really is!
is there a reason in particular that you seem to have ripped off @thefrugalbrit thumbnails on exactly the same content?
