I hope that I live long enough to see that this California high speed rail won't just be the only one of it's kind to be built in and around the United States of America. And that I might get to ride in one some day.
Awesome! Can’t wait to see construction end in the Central Valley in 1-2 years. We should get it completed by the 2028 Olympics in LA, that will make its popularity skyrocket.
72-73% percent completion on guideway and structures is fantastic to hear! Looks like they will actually be completing all of construction by next year. Love to see it! Fantastic work CAHSR! Keep it up! Make the anti-rail trolls drown in their own tears!
Well I assume you want to convince people of fact that this project is and already has been a great boon for the state of California. Doesn’t exactly help with that by calling on them to drown in their tears or that they are believing in propaganda.
@@pieter-bashoogsteen2283 I honestly don't care about the anti-rail trolls. No matter what CAHSR does, even if they complete the entire route from SF to LA for $3 tomorrow, the trolls will still want it retroactively cancelled and dismantled! Nothing of what they are currently saying about the project is true. They lie about the initial budget, they lie about the current budget, they lie about the state of completion, they lie about the land acquisitions. You can see it all plainly in this very video. Why should I kowtow to liars? Ever since Obama as much as looked at this project, it has been a political football. The Cons hate it because it is a "communist choo-choo", not because it's good or bad. The facts on the ground don't matter to these people. They just want California to fail because, despite us being the largest and fastest growing major economy in the US, we are somehow "communist" or "socialist", or whatever. Every day we are economically prosperous these people shed a tear. Let them cry some more for CAHSR's successes. I'm fine with that! Additionally, the vast majority of the opponents are out-of-state even though this project is almost 100% funded by the state of California. I'm not even going to mention that we are a typical blue donor state that most likely paid for the infrastructure in their bankrupt red state. What business do these people have telling us what we do with _our_ taxes? We want this project and we are building it! End of story!
@@TohaBgood2 No that’s not what I am saying. I am saying that not everyone opposed to this project is as you call it an “anti rail troll”. Some may not be informed or don’t understand. Ik fact I believe most are like this. Nothing much new here. They're just progressing VERY slowly. Simple math: take the amount remaining to be expended(~$76 billion) divide it by the amount expended this year (~$1.2 billion) and you have completion of Phase 1 in roughly 2085. Just to finish 10 years behind schedule, they need to be expending money at a rate 3 1/2 times greater than the current rate.
They're spread out over 119 miles worth of construction, at over 30 different construction sites. Daily, we average 1,000 workers on those sites. You may find this resource helpful: hsr.ca.gov/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/Economic-Impact-Factsheet.pdf
Todays China has built 40,000 km or 25,000 miles of HSR. 60% of world’s total mileage. They did that all in 10 years. Indonesia will test run HSR in coming weeks. It will surpass Canada, Australia and USA。 At this rate USA loses out permanently to China, by HSR. USA can never be a HSR nation mainly because of its corrupt governments. But, USA needs HSR, not talks.
Lol, you keep posting this communisto-fascist propaganda under every CAHSR video. But guess what, bud, that won't make anything you say true. China's HSR network is still crumbling under the weight of its own debt. And those bamboo-reinforced viaducts still keep falling down. The HSR line in Indonesia is only 88.42 miles long. That's a tiny tiny line. It's a fraction of the length of even the current construction of CAHSR and about 1/10th of the CAHSR system! It took them only one year less than CAHSR to complete 117 miles of HSR trackage. Big achievement right? 😁😁😁😁
@@TohaBgood2 your anti-Chinese stance only proves your USA stupidity. Jakarta-Bandung distance ~ SF to Sacramento. 3-4 hours drive in 35minutes. That’s the sweetness of the project. Landscapes are scenic. Project very difficult. Tunnels, bridges, viaducts. They are uploading tons of videos to show the build processes. Drones all over. Chinese modified processes. 1500m rails, welded, laid like assembly line. So fast, clean and efficient. Way way exceeds European and Japanese.
What are you talking about? We voted to build this as a state and since then the project has only become more popular with the voters! The political opposition really did a number on the project by blocking parcels and creating cascading delays and cost overruns. But they seem to be making great progress for the last few years! Didn't you hear the presentation? One of the three sections is on track for construction completion by March and the other two by the end of 2023. They started construction in 2015 on one segment and in 2018-2019 on the other two. This is lightning quick infrastructure construction by US standards and is a very respectable pace by worldwide standards! You people just keep spouting your propaganda regardless of what is actually happening on the ground. What's even the point of criticizing a project if you just scream irrelevant crap that has nothing to do with reality?
