The helmet is respiration/ aqua affinity, and the boots are depth strider. That is why they didn’t need water breathing potions.

1:why can they kill the drowned 1 shot? bc its a dramatic animation and it's more realistic.
2: why dont they have a chest plate and leggings? the helmet has aqua infinity and the boots have depth strider.
3: how can they breath underwater? they have helmets with aqua infinity
4: how did alex get the shield and sword? they had them in there inventory.
5: how is alex not dead? she has a diamond helmet on.

The reason why they don't have any chest plates or legs is because boots you can get depth Strider on and helmets you can get aqua infinity which is really good for water so yeah

Zachary I think they don’t have full diamond on because on the helmet you could but respiration to help you breeze under water and also depth strider in the boots so they can move quicker in water and maybe they felt that full diamond wasn’t necessary
