    Seriously, this is the perfect style of content for me. So fun! I can't stop watching your amazing videos.
    Also, side note, I don't know what you do for a living, dude. But you'd make a really wonderful teacher.
    Also, side side note, you two are so cute together 💚 hope I can have the same type of best friend partner type of relationship that you two have one day 😊

      I used to be a professional pit crew member in drag racing for 11 years prior to this life. Nikki owned her own cafe in Indiana where we lived. Now I work at a spa and wellness center in Lincoln, pool maintenance and whatever's needed. Nikki works at a coffee\bagel shop here as well. Our lives were very different and much more busy\demanding so we're really happy having a low stress job and good work life balance in a place that inspires us. Thank you for the nice compliments btw. We've been together for 20 years, married for 16 and we feel very fortunate and grateful for the relationship we've cultivated so your compliment to that really makes my soul feel happy. I think the fact that you pick up on that in others means that you will someday find it yourself. Thanks again!

      Oh, wow. I wasn't expecting that response (not sure what I was expecting, to be honest), but your comment about eating with dirty hands when you used to work on cars makes sense now 😮 that's really interesting, I can imagine super stressful though. I'm glad to hear that you two have found and cultivated a more fulfilling, low stress, balanced life that seems to align more with your values and personalities. I'm the same, I just want a simple, frugal life that allows me to enjoy the simple joys in life. High stress, accumulating money and endless consumerism doesn't interest me at all.
      And no need to thank me, I think people should be more generous with complimenting others and being kind. It could make their day and uplift their mood. It's free, and I'm just sharing my honest opinions. So I'm glad it was well received by you 😊
      Have a great weekend! 💚

      Thank you so much. I'm glad you enjoyed it. When I wrote the ending I didn't realize it somewhat rhymed and had no idea it sounded like a poem until after I made the video ha ha. Where do you ride?

      @@ThatMountainMoment All over Southern California! Just bought a Giant Revolt and I love it so fun to mix it on road and mostly on gravel. It's an adventure for sure.

      I love southern California but never ridden there. I bet it has some awesome routes up in the foothills.

      That's awesome! Northern New England has a lot to offer for all types of beauty. It has the wilderness mountains and lakes region, rolling farmland, and then the towns have that old world charm that makes it feel like home no matter what town you're in.

      Thanks for enjoying it! Definately check out the route. Our favorite part was the peaceful road that goes along the shore of Squam Lake. It was so quiet and led right to that little wishing well. Thanks again. Drop us a comment after you ride it. Would love to hear what you thought of it.

    dude, i hope regional, national and even international travel periodicals are picking up your channel.
    New England should be a cycling mecca. i rode for 3 weeks in Tuscany, and it was almost as good a New England... almost
    you and your video creations are an ambassador for New England adventure cycling.
    i continually try to impress upon people out here in Boulder, Co how utterly indescribable the riding is back there.
    and nobody believes me, or they just can't comprehend, because there's no human language to describe how... indescribable it is.

    • @ThatMountainMoment
      @ThatMountainMoment  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well if thats not an encouraging comment I dont know what is! No periodicals yet to speak of but maybe someday. We're working on a long term project that is already a year in the making that could be something the periodicals become interested in. You're so right though, New England really is a mecca for adventure cycling especially on a gravel bike. To be able to link so many gravel roads, old class roads, wilderness, singletrack, rail trails, and historic towns is really unlike anywhere else. It compares similarly to Europe more than anywhere else in the United States simply due to the age of when the old settlers created what's here. You need to get your friends to come ride here, especially Vermont and The Berkshires. Vermont factually has more gravel mileage than paved mileage! and its not just one long forest road where you see the same view for hours, its a constant new stimulus every few miles with new views, terrain, and towns. I love riding and adventuring here!

    Sure looks like a beautiful place to ride. Maybe I'm going to have to load up my bike and go visit my old Air Force buddy who lives in Gorham.

    Rode it yesterday with some buddies after seeing your video and the route last week. LOVED IT. Although my legs are still feeling that Mountain Trail section with the 14+% incline. Any other fun gravel rides you recommend? I'm coming from Boston, looking forward to camping then exploring. Also, I looked online hoping to buy you both a coffee or something through patreon but found nothing! I'm sure if you started one up there are many of us that can throw some gratitude your way.

      Oh man that's awesome you liked that route. It's become a favorite for a lot of us near and far. Mountain trail is solid little push ha ha. They call it a road on the map too which I find quite amusing. Where are you camping, I could maybe give you a route or build one that rides right from where you're going to be. What type of mileage are you looking for and elevation gain.
      Here's a big day adventure route we made a while back that's really fun in rumney: ridewithgps.com/routes/41157726
      This is another that many of us enjoy in sugar hill: ridewithgps.com/routes/36362717
      One more that I really like similar in elevatiin and miles to Wishing Well:

      Let me know if you need any more advice. Happy to help and thanks for saying hello.

    can you reach those fork water bottles easy ? any reason not to put them on frame ?

    • @ThatMountainMoment
      @ThatMountainMoment  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We can reach those but we do have provisions on the frame as well that we use. We like to stop and appreciate our surroundings a lot so we typically use the fork bottles when we stop.
