Looks sweet! I would suggest slicing the pinch weld off completely and running flat rockers all the way along. It will help to reduce the miss-matched heights of the rear end and the greenhouse sections. Keep at it dude!
Just wondering if you ever considered extending the bottom of the rear quarter panel to the ground to make it the same as the rocker panels. I think it could be extended and look OEM. As you have mentioned, it’s a rare car and I doubt anyone would notice and think, “That’s not stock.”
A 185/45 will give you the same sidewall height and stretched look on the 8” vs the 7” with a 165/50. I run this exact size on my MK1 Rabbit. th-cam.com/video/HM3zjBZbsfI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=yvTqLOLDa_O-AE01
My dad owns 1 that have been in the family for over 30 years. i didn´t even know they got to america. Do you have any information on when it got there?
When the car hit the ground i was in awe, then i saw your face was the same as mine 😂 that thing lays so hard the wheels free spin 😅 i wonder if theres room for a beetle style fuel tank under that hood
Watching this whole series from the start. Good lord how have I not found your channel earlier, this is the coolest shit happening on TH-cam rn. Excited to catch up
You’ve done it again my friend and it’s not even complete. Seeing your visions come to life in these episodes is sick keep em coming we’re all here for it.
Bravo! I've truly been loving following this build and just love your work, imagination, videos and how you have no stop or fear of crossing a rickety bridge of course after fixing it along the way to bring the world your beautiful visions. Side note..Commendable how when working you are always giving props to other builders and mechanics that help in their own ways big or small taking everyone along with you. Alright, alright that's enough praise but thanks for sharing John! Can't wait to see the new back tires and how you will chop it with the tires so close to the rear windshield already.
would you prefer this or for the car to sit in a junkyard? this doesnt take away from the original vision when the car was designed, its art unto itself
@@JohnLudwick ye ye ye. Why would people want to watch welding flash for five mins. You don’t even know about green filters. We could see what you welding. Dam yacking on
@@aaroncottingham4048 it was boring. Keep telling us it’s the only one in the world. Just build the Fxxxxx thing. Then brag. Then we have to look at welding flash for ten mins. He don’t know what a green filter is
I could see and hear the fireworks. Nice work John.
Thanks Gary!

Man, you are a true artist!!!! thank you for sharing.......
This car is sick. I love the wheels you chose. Looks like a baby '57 T-bird.
i wouldn't go lower, it looks amazing now and i don't think the extra work is justified
Yes first to comment again yes I love the content love the 1000
Thanks man!
u gay.
Man i absolutely love this car. As is even unfinished. John you own one of the most incredible cars in the world. Patina Paradise for real.
Thanks man! I really appreciate it!
That thing looks absolutely mental laid out on the concrete!!🎉🎉🎉🎉😮😮😮
It’s so crazy in person, man!
Make the fuel tank out of a beer keg..perfect size👌🏻
When a 195/45-15 is "too meaty"...
😂😂😂😂 I know it hahaha
When the front pops ups up when the rear airs out😮😍 was the best past of the whole video
‘This is the lowest 1000SP in the world’….SAVAGE!!!!!!!
😂😂 I’m willing to bet!!
Excited to see this done for complex union show in Canada hope you make the deadline mate
Thanks Jason!
@JohnLudwick no problem john keep pushing you got this
Living a bagged out, air cooled, patina dream life
Just wondering what brand welding machine you use.. ps cars awesome 👌
Thank you! Currently, for MIG, I am using an Eastwood 180, but hoping to add a PrimeWeld to the collection soon!
This would have to be one of my favourite builds ever, hopefully this blows up your channel and you get to 50000 subscribers. Great update!
You were a Minitrucker in a previous life!
I’m just making up for lost time while all my friends were and I wasn’t! 😂

You need to do some “L” gussets from the Ludwick logo
I thought about it!

I can’t wait to see it outside!!
goddam
Love from Australia, this thing is hot
Thank you!
looks crazy John and the back quater gap to floor looks fine dude I think it flows nicer. Looking forward to seeing the sills chopped 😅
OMG when the front wheels came up!
Here’s a thought for getting the rear wheels on and off, why not go with a “fender skirt” setup similar to the 57 ford Tbird
never seen one ,it kinda looks like a sunbeam from the front mixed with a miniatured 59 caddy thats fricken cool looking
My dad owns 1 that have been in the family for over 30 years. i didn´t even know they got to america. Do you have any information on when it got there?
NEW FOLLOWER AND IT LOOKS DOPE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NICE WORK DUDE!!
I like the caster where it's at in the front with the sloping arches.
Rear tyres don't actually look that meaty🎉
so why dont you extend the rear downwards to match the sills if you think it might look silly not matching???
Looks great to me, no need to go any lower since you're on the ground plus those rear wheels and tyres look great.
Cage 66 is the man also there’s another 1000sp on market place right now lol
When the car hit the ground i was in awe, then i saw your face was the same as mine 😂 that thing lays so hard the wheels free spin 😅 i wonder if theres room for a beetle style fuel tank under that hood
What do you do if the airbag system crashes out a couple of hundred miles from home.
so fkn cool
Thanks man!
Airbags are almost like patina, as common as a'holes, lol.
Wish we could’ve seen some spider web designs in the engine bay 🤣
Dude how legendary to air out and have the wheel off the ground.
what a build :) insane, how high is the roofline?
Awesome work bro. from South AFRICA

Man, that’s stupid cool!
I love seeing fresh steel welded to patina, that is the sickest stance, your knocking it out of the park, keep it up thanks for the e23 tease

I really appreciate that, Jeff! Thanks man!
20:05 Before this point I thought the front wheels needed to go back but this look is just amazing.
Thanks man! Yea I think they MIGHT have to. Luckily that’s a bolt on part I can get from Chase Hill, so I could cross that bridge later on if needed!
Holy cow John, I’m in amazement as well! Bravo!👏 This is looking incredible! Pat yourself on the back because this IS nuts! Damn!! 🤘👌
Top Quality Aircooled Content!
You need to bring that to Europe once its finished :)
I would love to!
Oh, Man, I could feel your excitement. The combination of the car's rarity and the only one this low is so cool. I got goosebumps. Great video, John.
🏁🏁
It's a crazy damn low man, 15" wheels are way much better than 16" with that extreme body drop

When you said it's going lower, I got the tingles. Sooo good.
Yes man

You ruined the whole car. but it seems that you have ruined alot of other cars already so why not....
WHY NOT?!

He saved it from rotting to dust AND made it badass. Double W
Three hour video on welding two gussets in. Think you might need two years before you get to a avent. Boring
It’s a 20min video, calm down now.
