Thanks for using actual measure of power - kW, unlike the much more popular surronster only talking about the volts and sometimes he's like "odd, 72v system and it sux, why?!"
My stealth bomber clone is 12kw hub motor and to be honest it handles just about any trail great. But I also ride from home to trail so extra speed on highways and streets is necessary to keep me in the flow with traffic.
Same I had my clone up to 19kw peak controller died so had to grab another. Electro and co has pretty good 76v batteries. They can have them built for that frame. I’d grab the 76v 32ah and if you have a sabaton controller 72150 and it’s unlocked should be 200 amps peak if not grab the 72200, bac 4000, torp.
Instead of upgrading the kW it would be cool to see the max kWh or max runtime you could build it to for your level 2 setting of 19kW. Then, it would be cool to know how fast it could be charged without degrading the battery on a circuit with 230v and 32a. Are there smart rapid chargers that will give it the beans at 7.36 kW from say 10% to 60% and then incrementally taper down to trickle?
198 or 200 cells is the max you can fit in my already tall, 410mm high battery box. With my 4000mAh Samsung 40T cells, I total 2880wh. That gives me about 80-85km on dirt tires (of course would be more on street tires). If you upgraded to 4500mAh Molicel P45B, you'd get about a 12% increase. 5000 mAh cells would give a 25% increase, which would be great. But the only 5000mAh cells I like, the Molicel P50B, are super expensive.
@@CoolWatts sounds like you’re in the sweet spot where trade off between price and performance beyond it isn’t equitable. I guess beyond where you’re at it would take experimenting with pouch batteries or small nuclear reactor.
You need at least 6kw-10kw for any trail or Enduro riding, & really anything over 15kw is overkill for any real offroad riding, it's too hard to keep the front end down! 😆 I'm building a Rwarr Mantis to race next year & they come restricted to 70% of their true power, but I'm getting my controller unlocked by eMoto-X, & i want a higher amp battery, & will race that for the year to see how it is, I'm going to buy a Stark Varg, & put street tires on it, & get out registered through Dirt Legal, the Rwarr Mantis i got comes with plugs for turn signals & brake lights already, as well as a M.O.T & vin# to make road legal, once these wheelie kids dancing on their seats ruin it for those of us who use these to commute, i haven't driven a car in over 4 years, ebikes/e moto's are a cheat code to traveling! 😂
I bought the 20s 9p battery kit and it’s awesome but i want to build a 20s 10p or bigger for my friend could you maybe help me find some bus bars because i can’t find them anywhere
Great to hear! We may be adding a 20S10P kit in the near future. But keep in mind it'll actually be taller than the 22S9P blocks by several mm. And almost the same wh (200 cells vs 198). If your controller can handle 92v, I'd almost always recommend 22S9P over 20S10P.
@@CoolWatts yes i have a ebmx x 9000 so i might do a 22s 9p for myself but my friend is running a torp controller and i don’t think it supports higher voltage then 72v i would love to show you my 20s 9p pack when it’s done right now the only missing piece are those hexagon pieces on the bottom of the pack i forgot to order those so i will design them
More & more & more kw it's never a nuff u get us to it then u want more than u get us to that then u want more I have a surron spent 9.000$ on up grads ya that was fun for 3 months know I am looking for more power lol

Yeah, amps are kinda important too.
And voltage drop (see my Molicel P50B video).
Soo what do ya think? Use cells for ah rather than A discharge? Interesting to think about!

Do you have a steep or hilly trail to test on? I reckon hills and speed combined will require a lot more amps than this flat trail.

Depends also on the Bike weight. But Faster it goes, more focus on the driver side is needed. 😅

Appreciate it!
I have a shitload of fun with 35kw on mine :)
That being said, I stick to about 15kw, 35 is just for when I'm feeling frisky
Do a top speed test please
It's hitting just over 100mph for sure

How long range does it have when you drive at lower kw? @@CoolWatts
@@StenMoto hi, I'm getting 80-85km with mixed riding. With more efficient tires (supermoto), it would probably add about 10% more.
