This is the best and most complete video you've ever done. If you'll finish this series, it'll be an extremely useful tool for everyone who's trying to get better at the game. Keep it up JD!!!
This setup is beast! I always play on 101 AI and can beat them on all tracks except australia and bahrain. This setup improved my pace by 0.5 second a lap
Thank you! Appreciate you covering the lesser known things, like brake point for pit entry, ERS management, race strategy, etc.. Only request would be to spend a bit more time with wet weather. The tip about braking 10-15m earlier is great, but, for example, any differences with gear selection? Maybe do a segment using intermediate tires as well so we can have a driving comparison across all three (dry, inter, full wet)?
Ok wow every thursday a new Episode... that means that it will take 20 weeks to complete all 21 Tracks???Thats such a long period, after the 20 weeks we can almost buy F1 2019 🙄🙄
Veloce Limitless Ok great, that sounds much better 👍🏼😊. And btw i like this new format and i think it will help me and the most other f1 players to be competitive in online League racing. Thanks for your hard work 🙌🏼🙏🏼. Greetings from Germany 🤗
Awesome tutorial. This will help a lot of people for sure ! One suggestion : you should freeze the screen and use arrows to indicate breaking and turning points. It would be a lot easier to memorize and helpful for poor english speakers. Cheers
Superb video! Can’t wait for the rest of the series. Can you also cover manual race starts? I somehow never seem to obtain consistent results even if i follow the exact same steps. Thanks!
Really great video, very insightful for many of us. Brilliant idea. Will definitely help us out loads so thank you. I think maybe just put in a slow mo showing the breaking point so that we can see exactly where it is and also then in the slow mo we can see turning in points 👌🏻. But really awesome helpful video. Thanks bro
Great Video, but I have one request. When you are talking about brake points, could you try to sync up more with the video or put a red box on the reference point where you are looking for? The problem now is for e.g. when you were showing the braking point for the pitlane, I didn't even didn't notice the pole until you mentioned it and when you mentioned it, you were already past the pole. That way it's easier to memorize when you talk and we can visually see it at the same time. Keep up the good work JD.
I feel this is a fantastic thing, because I’m trying to improve as a playing, hoping to compete against the very top guys soon, I’m currently in F2 on the PS4 side, and I think this is a great thing!
Nice Video. One important thing to mention is that it is a bad idea to use a shadow as a reference breaking point. Time of the day and the weather may change and you will lose it.
My guess is, he doesn't use 8th gear so he can keep the revs/rpm high. And he always drops one gear lower after he breaks to get to the higher revs. It's great in theory, but I can't do it in practice, which is why I've got to practice :D
agreed. with 360 degree for wheel setting 79 steering saturation gets it to feel a lot like an F1 car. fun wheel to play a variety of racing games with.
what's the reason for not using 100% brake pressure? and is it a lower or a higher ballast that helps maintain tyre wear under control? thanks! 1.2s from your leaderboard time (using a controller).
Need to focus more on braking points Me with line 1:23 Me without line 1:36 You need to point it out and show us on controller and wheel for both players
Thanks for the help mate
No problem mate hope you start to feel comfortable without braking assist now after watching this 😉
Veloce Limitless can't wait for next episode 😁
I bet you can beat everyone when you know this by heart Brendon 😂
@@BrendonLeigh congrats for the win!
His next video is How to master talking to girls. Stay tuned Brandon
One typo when KERS is meant to say ERS xD But I hope you find this useful and look forward to bringing more episodes weekly!
This is the best and most complete video you've ever done. If you'll finish this series, it'll be an extremely useful tool for everyone who's trying to get better at the game. Keep it up JD!!!
what about setting diff and break balance between wet/inters/dry especially in changing conditions?
please keep this up for the entire 2018 race calendar! very useful/practical for anyone with the game, great work
Actually, you can call KERS since MGU-K stands for kinetic.)
Slow motion is a really good idea! Maybe even use arrows or circles to point out stuff.
This setup is beast! I always play on 101 AI and can beat them on all tracks except australia and bahrain. This setup improved my pace by 0.5 second a lap
great series JD, hope you can do all the tracks, really cool to watch as always, cheers.
As another said the best video u have done! Very helpfull!
making me get better day by day, thanks dude.
respect.
Very interesting video, thanks! I am sure many sim racers will find this helpful. I am more than waiting for your Monaco Master class video :D
that was really good - thought the ERS usage and wet weather bits were useful. looking forward to the rest of the series! 👍
Thanks JD I've been looking forward to these for a long time.
More than one year later, there is still someone to give thanks to you :)
Great video, just what I need, a slow motion would be good.
I was going to type the same thing. Especially in the braking zones like others have done.
@@davids2361 Yep. Look at icontrast's videos, that's the ideal way to show breaking points IMO.
mark orrell-dobson you can slow it down on your own I think
ironaxe10 yes I can but the commentary matches the speed, try it 😂
Slow motion will be included in next episode onwards!
Really big thanks! I hope you will finish this series and not stop in the middle of the calendar💪
This is so dope and so helpful. Thanks a lot for this JD and please try finish it off!

Noted! I'll be looking to make it better each episode and will include those for next time :D
Great video and well explained 👌🏻👍🏻
Nice job for a p5 finish in esports!

To be fair JD has really lifted his game recently and is doing great content at a rapid rate now. Heaps of league races and streams etc.

I bet he wont do even Baku
2 circuits in 2 months so far haha

with the current assists and (almost) default setups that I run I basically came here for the ERS deployment lol
Love your vids limitless keep it up

Super clean, i gonna use this setup and braking points. Tnx

I try your set up. Absolutely undrivable With my ps remote
This is soo goodd, Thankss mate👊💙
whats the " black block"
Black Box on the top right or left on your screen, it's great for braking points or turning in points
Thanks for this really helpful, looking forward to Bahrain and China
Love this serie!

Awesome stuff. I would just like that you go into WET weather for a minute or two :D
Nice video helps me a lot
I just bought a Logitech G29 wheel, specifically for playing this game. Any suggestions and tips for the in-game wheel settings?
around 79 steering saturation
agreed. with 360 degree for wheel setting 79 steering saturation gets it to feel a lot like an F1 car. fun wheel to play a variety of racing games with.
thanks so much! you're the best!
Can we have slow motion for the corners when doing braking points please?
Finaly thank you MASTER SETUP 😂😂
what's the reason for not using 100% brake pressure?
and is it a lower or a higher ballast that helps maintain tyre wear under control?
thanks! 1.2s from your leaderboard time (using a controller).
Magno Because he doesn’t use ABS. If you go 100% brake pressure without ABS, you’ll lock up frequently.
Wow what's ur time?
Lower ballast ist generally better for tires and control.
You basicly run 7-9 at all Tracks, if you use lower ballast you are to slow
@@noiderate3132 1.20.3 easy
Thanks for the video. I'm just wondering why you don't go 100% throttle through the final corner? Is it to get a better exit?
Helpful video and solid setup, but it made me spun against the wall 2 times after SC... Maybe didn't heat up my tyres enough ?
What pedals do you use?
Can you explain differential and suspensions at one point. Expacially differential i know what it does, but he will it affect the handeling?
Easily my fastest track. Drive this track absolutely perfectly.
YES! ❤
Can you also make a setup for pad users in the next videos?
great vid!
Reales great
Why don't you use 8th gear?
Great video
I hope this is relevant to 2019 as well cuz I need the help (I skipped 2018)
Tamburello_1994 It will be, They don’t change the layouts of the tracks
Why dont u use 8 gear?
Hey, JD, thank you for all your amazing videos... is there a way to become a Patreon or to make donations? You really help a lot!
Yes finally let’s go
can you do Spa next? i have a 100% league race on saturday xD
Great vid, many thanks. I can’t handle the steep drop off by the Ultras on this track, so have had good success qualifying with supers.
Is that convinient not shifting to 8th gear? Don't you lose top speed?
Higher rpm stronger engine braking
Why do you drive on the top of the car ?
Need to focus more on braking points
Me with line 1:23
Me without line 1:36
You need to point it out and show us on controller and wheel for both players
Why don’t you use 8th gear on the straight?
You can brake better in 7th
Your blowing up yayyyy
Melbourne pronunciation: Mell-burn ;)
its one of my fav circuits
Is it just me or are the shifts to late on the 2nd lap
Braking points?:p Breaking?
show the settings...bet he has the abs on
Now world record is 1.10 ?? how to do that OMG
What ??!!! My engine on the game only goes 300 kph on end of start finish
yeeees
Your lap was 1.18. Fastest lap this season was Bottas at 1.25. Why aren’t you in F1 yet?!
Dude play cockpit camera and camera shake 100

£10 says you will not finish this series.
