Superman is basically God, they can't make no games for him, they had to create doomsday just to be able to .. put him into a coma, and all this stuff. But DBZ set a concept of what island, continent, world destruction power was really like way back when anime was just really kicking off in Western world. DBZ continue to make new series but with like all new works (movies comics etc.) new characters are created, and those who haven't been retcon, or remade etc. Will get old and weak compared to new heroes. Saitama from One Punch Man for example, as much as I believe he is a joke character he technically by design can destroy all the DBZ heroes. Superman as well can destroy 90% of them, you also have characters like Dr. Manhattan and such. It's just Goku is so beloved by the world (and I mean in a literal term) compare to Superman who hasn't really age well, that you will get a majority of people making videos of Superman losing cause like I stated he is boring.

The spirit bomb only working on evil natured people no longer applies according to DBS, hence why it was used against Jiren. Also, if they didn't want to use that, then the super dragon fist would have been enough. Goku got hit with the same attacks that supes used by super 16, Jiren, Hit, Majin Buu (super buu version) and Lord Beerus. Hell, I even forgot that Broly has done worst than that and Goku got back up. And Superman tends to get slower the harder and longer the fight goes and does not heal. Goku can go toe to toe with Superman, and only wins on speed in any form. Superman will always thrash him if he can land a punch though. It’s pretty equal, but slightly tipped in Superman’s favor.
