i have been riding on the LSR since i was a small boy who was interested in steam engines and i still enjoy my visit but because of covid 19 i could not visit it this year but i am going to make up for that next year
I was hoping to visit the railway when I was staying nearby in September but, because of COVID-19, the operators had decided not to open this year. Very sad!
@@KeithTucker45 several years ago a Friend of My Dad's asked one of the drivers if I could have a footplate ride and I had a great time traveling back on Lilian the first engine on the LSR Before we departed New Mills the Driver let me put a shovelful of steam coal on the fire
It is a lovely NG railway, well preserved. Not open at the moment because of the pandemic and I would advise checking that it is operating before travelling because opening dates/times are subject to change.
Went on that line when we first lived near Lanson in 2000. Kids enjoyed New Mills area. I enjoyed it all. Thanks for posting.
Glad you enjoyed it. It is just a very different railway but I don't know if it is still operating.
@@KeithTucker45 that’s so sad if it has closed. I remember them having difficulty raising funds before we left in 2016.☹️
@@jimmyjam4371 Just had a look and the railway hopes to open at Easter.

Quality footage of a little-known railway I have not yet visited. I will have to go for a bash next time I visit Cornwall.

Thanks, moonbear. A slightly unusual and interesting railway.
