Garrett thank you for the history, specs and the raw straight in and out. I owned a Special X with the same Amp. Tip top 🔝 work project. I may disagree but it's your opinion and that's cool too. Rock On Bro. 😎
I think it's an awesome guitar. Guitar world.is the one that labeled it the coolest guitar of all time. I think it's up there for guitars. But for me the coolest guitar of all time isn't just one. There is so much to love about so many different guitars from my B&G little sister clone to my schecter loa of the dead and many more.
They are a great design, a lot of people really love them and I see why when playing them. They sustain for days and have a really comfy feel. My buddy actually has this one now and it's his main guitar.
Today I saw a Seagull for the first time when I was looking into the history of BC Rich. Those things look awesome, but they look like they could split a forearm open lol
I have the ST version from 01 with all the switches, through neck the way Bernie meant them to be. Something like 50 different pickup selections with the different configuration of switch positions. Gives from clean single coil strat to trash. Wonderful to play. Quilted maple top veneer, mahogany body and neck. If you can find one of the older ones with the neck through construction grab it.
I've been keeping my eye open for one. They have gotten a lot harder to find and quite pricey now. Absolutely beautiful guitars though. Does yours have the old "B" inlay on the headstock?
Indeed. The coolest guitar. I have 4 mockingbirds, two STs ( with better pickups) and two special X's ( also with better pickups) . They like Les Paul on steroids. And either you love that shape or not. To me, its my favorite shape.
I have found them a fantastic guitar to have something different around to play. They are like a Les Paul on steroids and the headstock doesn't behead itself which is always a plus.
I wouldn't listen to this guy about buying only US or Japan made BC rich guitars. I have several Korean made BC rich guitars and they are straight up amazing guitars. I have the M-bird Pro X in black satin with gold hardware and a floyd. I love the looks and the way it plays, but I really don't like they way it sits on my lap when I am sitting. Pretty much wants to slide off my lap at all times. Like almost all BC Rich guitars, they are only comfortable to play when standing up, at least for me. I also have the Warbeast NJ deluxe and its not comfortable to play sitting down either but the guitar itself is a dream to play.
I have had some Korean made ones as well. They are great guitars. I own Korean made guitars now and Chinese and everything I between. It doesn't really make a huge difference where they are made as long as they play good
I think that's all depending on your opinion of "good" I know I'm not that good. I personally play a schecter and a really odd rare squier more than anything. Or I'm playing my fender paramount series acoustics
I had that exact NJ series Mockingbird. Really miss it
My good friend has this one now, he loves it. It was a great guitar. Played excellent and looked just killer

Hide is the artist I think of first when I see a mockingbird. Awesome design.

Lol check out the beast it pokes everywhere you don't want and isn't comfortable at all on a strap or sitting down.

I'd go with Seymour's during the week, then swap for Dimarzio's on the weekend!
The originals got loaded with DiMarzio pickups and crazy wiring with 6 way varitone circuits and boost circuits it was crazy when they first came out
The fact that there are no good Mockingbird players on youtube is saying something. I just don’t know what.
