Very nice! Every time I've flown into Hong Kong, there has been heavy cloud cover (even in Summer), and I've always landed from the opposite direction.
@cattoy42, the Northern Hemisphere summer is the monsoon season in Southern Asia. So, of course there was cloud cover then. Winter is drier in Hong Kong's climate (as in most tropical and subtropical climates).
@goytabr: Yes, I know about monsoon season in Hong Kong, as my wife is from there. I've been there in early February, April, early and late May, and September. Next time, I'll try around December...
What? There are no hills along the flight path of Chek Lap Kok Airport that has been in operation in Hong Kong for 12 yrs. Which Hong Kong did you go to? The one on Mars?
yes it is... especially in the summer time with the blue skies and big fluffy clouds. Check my profile for some footage of our favorite secret water hole in the jungles of sai kung.

@Nat2370 How was it dangerous for landing? Only Kai Tak was scary but it'd been closed for over 10 yrs now.
