Thank you for taking time to make these very informative and detailed videos! Your first video of RIU Palace Peninsula is the reason why my wife and I tried the resort. At the time we were searching for an adult resort in Cancun, and your video came up. It was very helpful in us making the decision. Once we got there, it was everything you said it was. We have been to the resort 4 yrs in a row now. Absolutely love everything about it! Thank you and keep up the great content! Rich & Kelly
This was such an Awesome, Thorough video. Thank You! I'm going to this resort this summer with my friends and I'm Excited & Really looking forward to staying here. I think it's beautiful and I can't wait to enjoy all it has to offer. Because there's so much negative stuff going on right now in Mexico...we plan on just staying on the resort and it seems like we'll enjoy ourselves just as much here. Thanks Again ❤
Hey hope you are well. Just wanted to say a big thankyou the family and I are in vacation which started from 1st Feb and still away till the 15th march. We are at America now staying with our friends but we went to Mexico inbetween. Stayed at this riu palace in Peninsula and I have never showed so much emotion of leaving a place after the great week we had the food, drinks entertainment day and night especially playing darts and going in the sports bar and the water polo. we then traveled to the iberostar in playa del car and then the barcelo in Tulum now back in america for about another 9 days then back home to Spain . Can stop watching your videos They are incredible and very helpful finding the areas you need around the hotels. Take care
Thank you! I just shared your video with my group of family & friends about 35 of us are heading there in late July for 5 nights 6 days. This is just a great video to help us get a look at our resort from a first hand viewpoint!
Andrew and Mona, thank you for the excellent job you have done and I tell you that, my wife and I will be there to celebrate our 48 wedding anniversary and what better place to celebrate than Riu Palace Peninsula, Best Regards to both of you Guys.
I have one question, if you are staying at RIU Cancun, Can you go to RIU Palace Penninsula and RIU Caribe ? I really appreciate if you explain about transfer between RIU properties. Thank you in advance, I really loved your videos.
Hey man! We love your videos👌 Me and my gf are planning to go to cancun next month We are still hesitating Which riu do you recommend us We are a couple in early 30s. Caribe or Peninsula?
Well, Las Americas is adults-only, whereas peninsula is not.. LA is an older resort with more traditional decor.. peninsula is newer but the rooms are still pretty tired and dated. We lean towards LA over Peninsula bc the grounds are beautiful, the beach is great, the food is pretty good, and you’re right on the main hotel strip in Cancun, so you’re close to lots of entertainment.
Hi. Do you by any chance know if we would have access to Riu Cancun beach as well? I have stayed at Riu Cancun before and I love the beach there. However the hotel is not as nice as this one. Thank you! Love your videos
Hello, thanks for the video! I wanted to ask you what the hotel is like to go as a family with two girls of approximately 10 years old. I wanted to know if it is a place with entertainment for them and quiet. I'm a little scared that it's one of those places where there isn't a minute of silence because of the music from the hotel next door or because of the entertainment for adults. Thank you so much!
DEAR WHERE WE GOING NEXT, HAPPY NEW YEAR. 🎅 GOD BLESS YOU MY FRIENDS. I AM VERY PROUD OF YOU AND VERY HAPPY FOR YOU. I HOPE ALL OF YOUR DREAMS COME TRUE. I HOPE YOU HAD THE BEST AND HAPPIEST CHRISTMAS OF YOUR ENTIRE LIFE. I LOVE YOU. I LOVE MR. ESPARZA AND ALL OF MY BEAUTIFUL FRIENDS. EVERYTHING HAS BEEN A MIRACLE AND A MIRACLE AND A MIRACLE AND A MIRACLE AND A MIRACLE AND A MIRACLE AND A MIRACLE AND A MIRACLE AND A MIRACLE AND A MIRACLE AND A MIRACLE AND A MIRACLE AND A MIRACLE AND A MIRACLE AND FAR BEYOND ANYTHING THAT I HAVE EVER IMAGINED. A,azing video, thank you!! Booking a trip all the way from Australia and staying here 😁 any feedback on the quality of spirits used? Is it very basic or any top shelf spirits included in all inclusive?
I don’t remember exactly what brands of spirits they served 🤔 but the have a very large selection and you can ask for any specific one you see on their shelf 👍🏻
I will definitely hand out the Jazzuzi before I head to the airport, thanks for letting us know. I do have a question. Can we go between the Riu resorts in Cancun? can we eat at another RIU resort?
Very nice and informative video. Can you please suggest the best all inclusive family resort in terms of food, service, rooms etc. that you have visited so far in Cancun and Riviera Maya. Please note My kids age 11 and 15 like water slides.
It depends what you like 🤷🏼♀️ the beach is much better at this resort, it’s for families, but it’s a bit dated. It’s also right next to the newly renovated Caribe, which has amazing parties. Kukulkan is new and beautiful, adults-only, closer to the main Cancun strip downtown, but the ocean can be rough and full of seaweed at times.
Can I just ask (probably a stupid question lol) but for the main buffet restaurant (as well as the bars) do you need to wait to be seated or do you just find a table yourself? :)
Hi Guys! I have a lot of questions as I will be staying there next month. I'd like to know if there are any fun excursions that you would recommend. I'm looking into doing tequila tasting, zip lining, snorkeling, jet skiing, and fun activities as well. For the restaurants- is there a dress code to follow? What restaurant would you recommend for us to check out first? How is their check-in and check-out process?! I'm looking forward to hearing from you.
Hi there! We haven't done a lot of excursions lately - but our best recommendation would be to join the "Riu Palace Peninsula Fan Page" on Facebook. On there you'll be able to talk to people who are currently at the resort to answer your questions in real time. There isn't really a dress code for the restaurants - just wear something nice, but not formal and no beach wear. As far as restaurant recommendations, it depends what you like... we liked the Japanese restaurant. The check in and check out is easy - but can be busy if there are a lot of people checking in/out at once.
Which restaurants do you need a reservation? How soon can you or do you recommend making a reservation? Do you get to use the restaurants at the hotels next store?
Hi, I am thinking of going to Cancun. It's my first time so I don't know much about the area but I have heard about seaweed issue and I'm planning to travel this year July 16 to the 21st. I was wondering does this resort beach area get more seaweed then rest of Cancun I know seaweed is unavoidable, but I was just curious. And also is there more like food truck areas where we could try more authentic food and leave the resort
We noticed that the beach at RP Peninsula is much more clear of seaweed compared to other beaches in Cancun - it’s situated more north, as opposed to right on the eastern shore on the Atlantic. That being said, seaweed is unpredictable and we’ve never been to this hotel in July 🤷🏼♀️ Yes, you can definitely leave the resort and explore the Cancun area. They don’t have a lot of food trucks per se - it’s more restaurants, bars and shops.
@wherewegoingnext Thanks for the videos! which resort would you recommend if you're looking for 1st great beach w shaped lounge or cabana, 2nd evening entertainment (but not too much) i need quiet at night, 3rd not too many kids. thanks in advance for your help 😊
We’ve visited this resort in October and February, and the weather was great both times. July will be good too, but it will be hot, more chances of thunderstorms and possibility for more seagrass in the water
@@WherewegoingNext I will be staying at peninsula and was also wondering if I would have access to the RIU caribe pool party? The day parties as well as their night parties?
It’s hard to choose because they are so different. Peninsula is much smaller and compact, whereas Riviera Maya is larger and more spread out. Peninsula is on Cancun which is more lively and has more nightlife and entertainment, whereas RM is in Playacar where it is more quite and laid back. Peninsula is a bit outdated with the design, whereas RM is renovated and more modern on the inside, but also palatial on the outside. The beach is a bit better at Peninsula with smaller waves and less seagrass (generally), whereas RM has the potential for more seagrass even though the beach is larger. Staff is great at both. Food has historically been our favourite at all the RIU hotels, although this year we noticed the food quality and variety at Peninsula decrease quite a bit from 4 years ago. 🤷🏼♀️ this might also be the case at RM, but we haven’t been there in 2 years so we can’t know for sure 🤷🏼♀️

Oh great! 😊
My favorite RUI palace in Cancun.
👍🏻
Hi Andrew and Mona, awesome video as usual! I always look forward to seeing your tours!
Thanks David! We really appreciate your support 🙏🏻
Thanks, great video as I'm going there in three weeks Cheers.
Enjoy!
Andrew and Mona, thank you for the excellent job you have done and I tell you that, my wife and I will be there to celebrate our 48 wedding anniversary and what better place to celebrate than Riu Palace Peninsula, Best Regards to both of you Guys.

been there 10 times....excellent video!
Thank you!
I am here....is nice
Ok now I’m on a binge, this one, Riu palace riviera maya or Riu Palace Mexico?
awesome video
Thanks for watching!
I have one question, if you are staying at RIU Cancun, Can you go to RIU Palace Penninsula and RIU Caribe ? I really appreciate if you explain about transfer between RIU properties. Thank you in advance, I really loved your videos.
You can visit the other Riu hotels, but not the “Palace” hotels. Only people staying at a Palace hotel can visit all the other Rius
Hey man! We love your videos👌
Me and my gf are planning to go to cancun next month
We are still hesitating
Which riu do you recommend us
We are a couple in early 30s.
Caribe or Peninsula?
I would say Caribe - it’s newer and has more entertainment 👍🏻
Thanks for sharing! Do you have your room tour on another channel? I couldn't find it.
We haven’t posted it yet. It should be out in the next few weeks. 👍🏻
We can't decide between Riu Palace Peninsula and Riu Palace Las Americas. Which one do you recomend?

Hopefully, you guys will review the Riu Palace Costa Mujeres . Highly anticipated 😊.
It’s on our radar, but prob not this year 🤷🏼♀️
Thank you for the great video. I'm going there on 4/30, do you think still a good season?
Yes, you should have great weather 👍🏻 shouldn’t be too much sea grass either.
Hi. Do you by any chance know if we would have access to Riu Cancun beach as well? I have stayed at Riu Cancun before and I love the beach there. However the hotel is not as nice as this one. Thank you! Love your videos
Yes you do 👍🏻 you just have to find your way there, for example taxi or bus
Hello, thanks for the video! I wanted to ask you what the hotel is like to go as a family with two girls of approximately 10 years old. Have you taken a look at Bahia Principe Tulum? This resort is very family friendly and has newer rooms and amenities than RP Peninsula.

The Hard Rock hotel Riviera Maya has a great water park and gaming area, as well as excellent food and service 👌🏻
Do you know if any of the pools are heated outside? I'm going day after Christmas...great video!
No, they’re not heated 🤷🏼♀️ have a great trip!

Not a stupid question! Yes, there is someone who seats you at the restaurants - not the bars.
Hi which would you choose out of Riu Palace Peninsula & Riu Palace Kukulkan? My husband & I travel in July for my 40th.
I would say Kukulkan is nicer for an adults-only trip. Riu Latino is another great adults-only resort that is a bit more relaxed, but still super fun
Perfect video. Is there a limit on food and adult beverages?
No limits! All you can eat and drink!
We just booked yesterday going in January
Have fun!
Hi, very informative video. Can I ask as a visitor from the UK, what currency to bring? And is there ATM"s in the hotel?
They accept USD primarily or Pesos. USD is most common on the resorts. Yes there is an ATM, but I think it only gives out pesos

Riu Latino is a great adults-only resort on the gorgeous Costa Mujeres beach 👍🏻
@@WherewegoingNext thanks. does Riu Latino have cabana beds? if so can I reserve it bc I'm not interested in going down at dawn to make sure I get one
@tosha7264 no, I don’t believe they have any 🤷🏼♀️

Hi! Which are the best days to visit there? I was thinking go there on July but I'm not sure.

@@WherewegoingNext Thank you very much for your answer!
Hey, do you think this hotel is worth the extra vs riu caribe given its rennovation? Its about £1000 extra for this for 2 weeks.
The peninsula has a few extra amenities, but I would book the newly updated caribe instead 👍🏻 newer hotel, rooms and Riu Party 👌🏻
@@WherewegoingNext I will be staying at peninsula and was also wondering if I would have access to the RIU caribe pool party? The day parties as well as their night parties?
@corajohnson9596 yes you can!
Is this a family resort? I thought it was adults only?
Yes it’s a family resort, but it has an adults only section of rooms
Could you stay for 2 weeks here? Lots to do?
Not much - it’s a smaller resort - but you could visit the surrounding RIUs 🤷🏼♀️
Is this 1 walking distance to forum beach & plaza ?
Yes, this hotel has a private beach 👍🏻 there are some shops around the hotel, but the main downtown area is a 5-10 bus or taxi ride.
About 20 mins walking from the clubs just trying to stay walking distance from the clubs
I know you get these questions all the time. Penisula or Caribe?
Hmm 🤔 leaning towards Caribe now that it’s been renovated! It’s gorgeous!
@@WherewegoingNext thanks so much
Yes we be there,,,many Year before, anything so good,,,we like it,,,but now,,,don't know???
👍🏻
Brand new? This hotel was inaugurated in 2012
No, this is an updated tour.
Do any pools have a hot tub or jacuzzi area like RP Americas does as per ur video ?
No, just at the spa - and it’s free to use 👍🏻
Thank you for ur quick response 🙏
Please let me know of other resorts with swimming pools so h jacuzzi or hot tub that you can recommend thank you
The only one we can think of is the Barcelo Maya Riviera - they have jacuzzi tubs in the pools, but they’re not heated
Thank you 🙏 we will most likely stay with Riu hotels
Do the pool erea food make fried Chicken wings?
Not usually- mostly hot dogs and burgers
If you stay at a RIU in Cancun, do you have access to all RIU beaches?
Not the Palace hotels - just RIU Cancun and RIU Caribe.
Riu palace Penisula vs Riu palace costa Mujeres. Help me deciding please. THank you ^_^
Definitely RP Costa Mujeres!! It’s a newer resort with great food, entertainment, service and rooms 👍🏻👍🏻
@@WherewegoingNext Thank you for your replying. Just wondering about Iberostar Selection Cancun and RP Costa Mujeres, can we put them next together ?
