Nice one Mike. Glad to hear it! Could you do me a favour and leave a review on the recipe itself? www.foodforfitness.co.uk/recipes/slow-cooker-spaghetti-bolognese/
I cooked your chilli other day and great , all your recipes are the right consistency which is what i like, i can put in wraps the next day when cooled and even more firm ,.
Scott, I am planning to buy a slow cooker and then follow your instructions. I will probably do the 5 hours on medium. I just wanted to ask you A) Do I need to add water other than the red wine and pasatta? b) Do I need to occasionally stir the pot to avoid it burning at the bottom? c) If I don't add the corn starch, will it make a significant difference to the taste and thickness of the sauce ? I look forward to your response. Thank You
Hi John. a) no, just what's listed on the ingredients b) yes every couple of hours or so c) yes, pretty much all slow cooker recipes need cornstarch/cornflour to thicken it or you'll just get a watery slop. This is because pretty much no fluid is lost during the cooking process so you need an added thickener. Cheers.
I`ve just prepared this sauce ready for my guests tomorrow night, I`m wondering if I should put the pasta in with the sauce for the last hour??? Your thoughts..
Hi Scott, you ve got garlic in tge ingredients, but uts not in the video! I also added some worc sauce, and oregano, as the mixed herbs i used didnt have oregano in them. Dont know what its going to taste like, i dont think it smelt great, but maybe once its cooked?
Just made this, absolutely amazing 👏

I don't like that way of doing it as it makes the sauce full of the starch from the pasta. Cook it separately then add it in at the end.

Huh, you're right! Good spot Ray. It's been missed on the edit. It goes in before the mince.
Gotta have celery bro...... its the key...... Onions, carrot and celery. But, cool vid lol...
Truth!
Hi Scott on the recipe I'm wondering how much spaghetti I should make assuming I'm gonna prep it for 7 days
Hey you can use 50g uncooked pasta as the guide for 1 portion :) Hope this helps
Not sure what herbs to put in can you help????
Hi, something like this www.schwartz.co.uk/products/herbs-and-spices/herbs/mixed-herbs
At what point do you recommend adding milk to a bolognaise in a slow cooker?
So I don't add milk to this one but I am filming a bolognese recipe tomorrow where i'll be adding whole milk about an hour befor ethe end of cooking.
