I don' think Arsenal did enough on an attacking front however another clean sheet away from home. The do need to improve and score more goals if they want to compete in all competition's but it's definitely not worth losing sleep over if you're an Arsenal fan.
Arsenal fan here, I can honestly say you've got my respect & Sub for being open to talk about Arsenal from an unbiased standpoint. Appreciate you being a fan of football first, then your terrible team after 😂 But on the whole I haven't the slightest clue why everybody is so doom and gloom about the match, it was exactly what we needed it to be. If Martinelli could pick his confidence up off the floor, we'd be talking about how it was another 1-0 tactical masterclass from Arteta. Spot on about David Raya, he is simply ELITE. He's had his acclimatizing year, and now he's just going to continue to pick up clean sheet after clean sheet like they're skittles. Yet another example of Mikel Arteta being a mastermind in seeing and improving the margins nobody else was even thinking about. I was most excited about what I saw from Calafiori's cameo, the positions he took up in the midfield and was ALWAYS looking to go forward. There was one point where you could see he was physically frustrated not to have any options in front of him. The kid's gonna be great.
Tough away game in Italy against Atalanta who are a tricky side (beat Liverpool and Bayer Leverkusen). Wedged between Spurs away and Man City away. This game was all we needed it to be. A draw, no injuries, not too much energy spent.. players not at full commitment, eyes were firmly on the Sunday match.
5 games played in all competitions and 1 goal conceded (with 10 men), having gone away to aston villa, tottenham and europa league winners atalanta. arsenal may have midfield and attack issues currently, but one thing for sure is that this defence is a MACHINE.
@@Tibor860 What nonsense, Arsenal’s defence have not just all of a sudden become great, it has been like that since last season so you must have been living under a rock or you are just ignorant.
Atlanta won the Europa League and stood top in the high intensity pressing stat in entire Europe last season. I’m a big fan of Gian Pietro Gasperini. I can understand Arteta preferred that his players focus on defending rather than attacking at Atlanta. Leverkuson attacked and they got thumped last final.
No it doesn’t, what nonsense. Simply because you score does not mean you will win a game of football. Ask Everton and Wolves, they score un games and still lose.

I would love to see a deadly attacking forward line with this defense that Arsenal had. Pep knew he get the better of arsenal because Arsenal didn't have a mad 3 upfront destroying opponents . That's where edu got it wrong. If I was a sporting director like him and look at this defense with my chest out, you can't tell me I couldn't add 3 more deadly force to this forward line. If saka don't perform or assist, it seems like no one else will. Arteta go to drop martinelli to the bench and start Sterling on Sunday it's no rocket science
We were poor against tough sides in the CL last season as well. It took City, Chelsea and United many, many seasons before they got to the CL final. We're only in 2nd season back into it. We shouldn't expect much. Let's focus on the PL. CL is just building experience this season.

Saka is spoon fed by ødegaard with an incredible amount of chances and he is still a 15 goal a season forward. Saka cuts inside and shoots from the corner of the box, thats all he does unless ødegaard sends him clean through. Saka is massively overrated and so is declan rice who is technically bang average.
