Cindy here, for a while there has been a crew trimming trees and or cutting them down so when we get snow and ice storms the power lines won't be taken out. Coming back from our tiny town I stopped and asked a guy what are your plans for all those chips, you want them, heck yeah!!! He dumped it in the yard for our garden this years garden

But I wanted to say Thank you for the vlogs it has encouraged me and kepted me company during a hard season. My husband passed away 2 years ago and me and my 15 year old son have had to reset ourselves as the dreams seem cancelled (like homesteading on a piece of property). It can be quite the task at times but moving forward one day at a time with different or revised dreams, looking forward to spring. Check out using oak and maple tree branches 4 to 6 inch x 4 feet. Innoculate with shitakjie mushroom spawn. Great project for the boys. Sell the dehydrated mushrooms or even the logs. A log after a year will produce 6# @ $20.00 for multiple years. Keep cedar slabs to set the logs on. You should get that lumber milled and save on materials cost as you finish building infrastructure.
my siblings (except baby sister) did the tile roll one time. and once was enough, I will discourage the kids from the experience. was an experience...but made.

Just curious, you have the Ford tractor, why didn’t you use it to spread the mulch instead of paying the man hours and equipment at a premium?? Off-road diesel and your time is not as expensive. I understand share the work with the guys you like and use but it all comes down to saving money, plus it’s more tractor experience
