      Hey buddy, sorry for the late reply. Not sure on the grassroots this year hey...definitely going to be riding more just not selling body parts for a few hours of riding!

    nice review... just a question... what about the oil injection installed on this model? Is it reliable?

    Nice review ,keep them comming.waiting on my race edition 23.comming off a 21ktm 300, 1st beta and only ride technical singles ,not sure if I should of gone the rr now ,but I think both bikes are the same low to mid range,and I'm hoping the suspension works well for hard enduro

      Yeah keep us posted, I’m interested how much tinkering you’ll need to do on the racing model to make it suitable for the hard stuff

    I am really on the fence between the rr and race edition. I do mostly trail enduro style riding but enjoy competing in desert races and winter rides. Will I be happy the open fork suspension? What are your thoughts?

    Nice review and follow up vid!
    I’ve got the 23 300rr and I’m finding the same with having to switch back to first on some of the steep hills (to be fair I’m on the rain map in the snotty stuff). How did you go with changing the front to a 13 tooth? Happy with it?

      Great question, I should do a bit of an in depth on gearing and the maps because I've been mixing it up a ton. So my gearing is currently 12/48 and I try to stick to the sunny map even for the snotty stuff. The rain map is good for really really bad mud/clay when you probably need the power curve a little reduced.

    Nice review, I just purchased a 2023 300 RR. I also dimpled my radiators for more clearance. Seems like an engineering miss on Beta's part. Hopefully they will move them back a bit in the future. I just ordered an Enduro Engineering seat, installed a better poly skid plate and some Renthal soft 1/2 waffle grips. also installed full wrap EE hangars. I weigh 175 lbs, do you think I will need to change out the fork and shock springs? I ride mostly in 2nd and 3rd gear, forest single track. Keep us posted on your progress!

      Legend! You’ll be completely fine on stock, but if you are training and competing and take your riding pretty serious you’ll want to go up a spring rate especially if you add 15lbs of gear on. Do you use stock gearing (14/48)? I’ve dropped down to 12/48 to see how that goes…

    Nice rewiev.
    Can you tell something about fuel consum compare to tpi?
    Someone said that beta consum much more fuel than tpi, so is that true? ( I mean in normal oem carb setup)...

    • @hungrychinp
      @hungrychinp  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So many people have asked me this, I’m going to have to spend some big days on the bike to figure this out. So far it’s been just as good as the tpi…but every time you drop the bike fuel leaks. My gut tells me if you did classic enduro there’s no difference but if you did hard enduro you’re going to lose more fuel not because of consumption but from leaking out the carb when you drop/roll/crash the bike!

      @hungrychinp  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Enduro Brendan awesome thanks for the feedback! I’ve been told that the difference in jetting performance will be very minor so if you’re not a pro it’s probably not going to bother but i have no evidence for this. I’m actually looking into the smart carb as my next mod which would mean no more messing around with jetting. If you’re happy on a tpi there’s no reason to just sell up and go a beta.

      Exactly why I swapped from KTM. My 2020 300 had two bottom end rebuilds, 3 top ends, 7 CCPs, fuel pump, oil pump, and just about every other issue…I would spend my entire time worrying I was going to get stranded out in the bush with a 100kg weight. But on the flip side I’ve had mates put 200+ hrs on with no issues an one top end haha.

      I’m 50/50 for Kozi, new grassroots pricing is a little rough. I’m optimistic about the GNCC thats coming here. Might try for the Tumut Transmoto and considering some local mx clubman races here in the ACT.
