I went axe throwing today for the very first time ever. I'm absolutely hooked. Time to research and start this New journey. Tips and tricks and best practices are greatly appreciated. Even with the house axes I was hitting bullseyes. I might have found something I'm good at lol
How do you know when you're ready to move up to better axes and where can I find an axe throwing coach to help guide me through to competitive throwing?
I there a way to try these (like a test drive) before buying or is there a return or exchange policy? Looking to buy two of The Competition axes and also two others for my wife and myself. She likes the Ace of Spades (she has thrown it) but thinks she might like The Bad Axe or The Corporal better? I think I would like The Commander or The Corporal myself, was not crazy about The Ace because it was a little light.. Our local axe house only has a few of these but not all of them and they don't sell axes there. Any suggestions or direction before I spend a bunch of money on axes we both don't care for?
It seems your promoting the high end axes after you introduce the original WATL axe. Why not show the kill shot or spitfire which in my opinion is the Best Budget axe you sell.
So do you guys even make the curved handles anymore? I have an original watl axe with a curved handle. I love it and have so far thrown a 54 with it. When it breaks and such I want to be able to buy a curved handle.
@@witchayasipipattanakun7103 I own a machete, multiple sets of throwing knives, a tomahawk, more knives, a long sword (but only a replica, not a real one you can fight with) and I want to add a longbow to this collecion. I like to "play" with this stuff in my garden. You can imagine what my neighbour must think 😂
The Kill Shot axe uses the same head as the Competition Thrower, except it has a more durable handle. Some people like wooden handles instead of the fibreglass but it's all preference.
Watl. store says they will ship world wide running threw the store brought up $57approx USD to a my town, currently $22 USD postage, so approx $80 AUD for the base level axe
I second that mr. Wotan coyota! Am here listening to this dude takl about axes brands bla bla bla ! Am no professional but I have no problem with my three second hand restored estwing 14" inches hatchets. But again this dudes get pay to advertise their bla bla bla .
I know this video is a couple years old, but I just spent $104 and some change for a Comander. Wtf? Why the price hike? Don’t blame Covid. 2 years doesn’t justify gouging the price almost double.

We ordered the whole bunch for our shop in Brussels.
Oh extremely happy with the performance, can’t wait to make our own review.
Good luck guys!

In WATL rules, can you modify the handle. Ex. Shave it, shorten, add a finish etc.. ?
Built my own throwing wall at home 😅 can't wait to order one of these .,
Got my Bad Axe last week. Did very well in my league game with it. Stuck between The Commander and The Butcher next.
Get the Butcher it sticks out in competition and sticks on contact
I don't see the Commander Axe in the WATL store.

Big hype means big business means big bucks!
I have the bad axe and I absolutely love it
100% agree. It's an amazing throwing axe
Where is the butcher on the website?
It's going to be added in approximately 3-4 weeks (it's currently in transit)

Man. My friend and I were talking about old English, Viking and here I am, trying to get an axe...
Trust me, everyone owning an axe, sword, longbow and so on (including me) has been at this moment 😂
@@memberberries9813 Thanks. I thought I was crazy. I already have 1 longbow and 2 recurves but you just made me really wanna get an axe hahaha.

Sharpness by sound... learn something everyday.
Its how I determine when I need to sharpen my steak knifes, just give em a quick flick of the finger and you'll know
Are you guys restocking the WATL competition thrower?
Yes we are. They have just finished production and we will have them in stock in ~5 weeks
Hey what if I want a good axe just kill a zombie? Got a recommendation?
Authentic medieval weapons would work... check Kult of Athena for some battle ready ones
What is the difference between the starter axe and the killshot axe (blue) you sell on the website?

I have the ace of spades it's amazing.
Want to see them thrown not just talked about
Thanks guys
Our pleasure!
Price for a basic axe has gone from 35 to 45? Any coupons available?
Yes the cost of materials and shipping has gone up a fair bit in the last year!

Its about skill, you need to be able to trow any axe

If you're watching this in 2022, that competition axe has gone up from the "mid 30s" to $47.95.
You lost me at "listen to how sharp"
raise your hand if tomahawks are more your thing.
👋
I would assume a grown @ss man would know that's a hatchett not an axe 🤦🤦🤦
Francesca is better.
