She's strict, but not an asshole which is good, I've seen some mentors, music mentors in my case and others calling names, and really putting the students down. I think Lisa is doing a perfect balance of it, she's being strict, but she's not being an asshole, she probably had mentors that called her names and such in the past for sure too.

The more I see clips of Lisa mentoring, the more I'm impressed by how good she is at seeing small details that completely changes the dance and she actually knows how to fix those problems. I really hope to see more and more of that side of Lisa as the show continues.

YG made them as the replacement of 2NE1, they went really famous even at day 0, just trailers and sneak peeks alone they gained massive fans with out hearing their tracks. Everyone says that lisa is scary to the trainees but I don't think so because she didn't go there to be nice, or to be cute she is there to teach them dancing and to give advice. And she is really good at it, I am so proud of her ❤❤

Of course lisa will be scary in the trainees view. That's because they admired her! Did you not have anyone you admired during your school days? Weren't you scared that this person you admired will look at you with disappointed eyes? Even without saying a word, you would be utterly scared as soon as that person view you badly. It's called fear of failing expectattions.

These trainees might be scared and tired, but I'm pretty sure they're very happy at the same time that Lisa teaches them in every little details like this 😊😊.
I agree, if you have passion for something you get serious about doing it right, so imagine teaching this thing to others with less experience than you, she is a dance mentor, so she's focused on the details of the piece they're working on to make sure they deliver the best of their potential and learn to expand their abilities. I'd consider myself blessed to be mentored by someone with real experience and a kind heart like Lisa.
She has an eagle eye. She is able to find out even the tiniest of mistake and finds out who did it and exactly what moment went wrong and she is a perfectionist, she has a way of how the dance should go and she will make sure the dance goes that way. No flaws and no going easy on them. She is serious in her job and makes sure they learn something at the end of the day. And the fact that the haters are mocking her for her language inability. She is trying her best and definitely she also feels uncomfortable being around new people and a new culture and new language. The least we can do is appreciate her for her efforts. If she had wanted she could take this easy and not do this but she sincerely wants them to improve. BRAVO! I am extremely inspired by her and the amount of hard work she puts in every thing. Go Lisa!

Lisa's got a point tho. Pro dancers can memorize a dance choreo in 1 hour and polish it in a day. Given they are not pro dancers but dancing is a big part of this competition and that choreography is still fairly easy so yup, 4 days is reasonably long enough to polish their choreo, esp if they are really serious to win in this show.

You have to remember they are still trainees and Lisa is there to teach them one by one each step to make it perfect for their dancing. I can see these girls work very hard.

They're so lucky to have Lisa as a dance teacher. It's not just because Lisa is their fav artist but it's about how good and genius dancer she is. Lisa can dance in a lot of styles (hip-hop, Poppin, girly, sexy, etc.). That's why she can fix their dance move and knows how to make it great. Seriously, they're so lucky. I hope all of them don't give up on their dream and working hard like lisa who working so hard for her dream and to become a dance teacher in this program. And...Lisaya, Thank you for your hard work. Haters call Lisa overrated, "her dancing is overrated", "she doesn't deserve the hype she gets", "why is she so famous? She doesn't even dance hard choreographies, this and this idol can dance harder choreography, OVERRATED" She has an eagle eye, she knows what she wants to do and so she works hard to get it. It's so nice to see all the professional dancers in the comments XD, I want to make this clear, nowhere in my comment did I state that she is the best dancer overall (I fixed the industry part to k-industry, my apologies I understand how you can misunderstand that)and that she is the best dancer in the k-industry, as I have stated, IT IS PERSONAL PREFERENCE, you can place her in last or you can place her in first, it really doesn't matter. However, I based what I wrote on comments that PROFESSIONAL dancers have either said about Lisa or how they ranked her in first, nowhere did I say that she is the best and yadayadayaa that no other idol can do it as good as she can, NO. The trainees must have been scared. These girls better listen well and learn fast,. We know Lisa can pick up choreo in just a couple hours or maybe less, she is very competent, so they better cease the moment while Lisa teaches them.
Lisa can pick up choreography by just watching it once, her members have said this before, that when other people were practicing dance, she would just look at them, analyze and start dancing the same choreography with the same steps.
Actually those trainees never got a hard working on this, I think this's the reason.
You could imagine how Lisa and Blackpink came out, how many years they been trained, compare to these trainees.

Frehdi ][ this is just what I have been thinking, we all know that the kpop industry are more restrictive on foreign idols, so why wouldn’t she start her own company when she is such an passionate kpop idol, she also seems to be preparing for when her contract is up, she has her own TH-cam channel which is her own way to promoting her talents, she has be working with lots of choreographer and videographers that don’t work with yg, she has been studying photography and has already realeased her own photobook that she designed herself, and she is developing her own fashion line, it’s like she is in preparation for being without yg.

Dance requires discipline and hard work, if they can’t put in that much, how can they expect to be idols? Plus with Lisa teaching them, they should know that they are very fortunate because so many people would love for that chance and they got it. thats true but I'm still confused since some of them dance better then some blackpink members. Jisoo isnt rlly good at dancing and still made. I think when creating a group they are looking for many factors. Looking at my favourite group they are always 1-3 who cant dance rlly well 1-3 who dance rlly well and the rest is average imo (numbers depending on the group size e.g. Lisa dances rlly well Rose and Jennie are imo average and Jisoo is..kinda bad lol shes still my favourite tho). Ofc there are groups out there in which everyone's dance is on point but for various groups thats not the case
I think these girls are doing their best, Lisa sees some few mistake here and there but she is there to fix their errors and make them better! I can see these students practiced a lot they are pretty good themselves.
She's not being mean. Lisa's just being real. She knows how touch the industry is. So if they want to make it, they have to be perfect.
Survival shows need more like Lisa mentor. A mentor who can spot even the smallest mistakes, A honest mentor. I mean she really doing her job properly!

Honestly lisa is most likely the nicest mentor on the show these past year. shes not cutting them slack but shes actually teaching them
for ral I've seen clips of the others and all they did with the trainees is talk, saying what is wrong not demonstrating how to do it... I saw a few that actually gets down I the middle of it like lisa is doing. I'm impressed, it's a much more effective teaching style.
I am a dance captain for my crew as well as an amateur choreographer. Watching Lisa mentor is blowing my mind. I cannot say this enough. Her talent and eye for details is amazing. Whenever I would see something I normally would stop my teammates for, she jumped on it right away and taught it perfectly. I'm literally taking notes from her, she's such a good mentor!
Edit: As to those mocking her language ability, lemme just say this: Learning a language is hard. Especially when learning it as a celebrity and as an adult. So her level of fluency is already admirable because people spend several years learning one language and can't really understand it and speak it well, but she has achieved semi fluency already.

Lisa was a good pick for this show, everytime she dances it’s so clean and she goes with the flow. The girls really needed this feedback and Lisa is doing good at her job teaching the techniques that they are missing to become better dancers.
People who are saying that she's too strict and mean prolly never been to a proper dance class before and it shows lol. Dancing is not that easy esp if it's a group dance. It takes a lot of discipline and hard work. I can tell that Lisa was still being easy on them coz it's just their first class. The girls won't get better if she won't be pushing them to their limits. I'm glad that she's not minding that this is just a tv show. She genuinely want these girls to improve and that says a lot about her character. I'm a dancer/choreographer myself so I expect nothing but Lisa's professionalism as an instructor, just like this. She's doing a great job👌❤️👏👏

lets take a break and critique what Lisa herself is critiquing which are the trainees. From Lisa's perspective I can see what she is talking about. The concept is sexy but I am not feeling it from the group. Sexiness is subjective but there are a few qualities we can easily critique. The dancing felt just a bit awkward... all the girls were dancing like they are the center. They all try to move their body seductively without much technique which is what dancers need to show in order to catch people's attention. Sure people can dance around a pole and try to dance sexy but the WOW factor comes in when people can see you using some hard techniques on the pole to pull it off. And also when it comes to group dances when everyone gets a few seconds to be center, you gotta dial it down and focus on formation and synchronization with the background dancers so that the center can shine better. From all the videos I've watched of Mentor Lisa on this show, the thing Lisa is always repeating is TEAMWORK. Lack of teamwork SHOWS. It's important to have a unified concept (when she talked about combining boyish and sexy concept together), helping out teammates who do worse (recent group which Lisa was very happy with), and hours and hours of practice together (which she emphasized in the first trainee video and this one).

I agree with Lisa, what's the point of being there if you can't help them to be better. At the end of the day, judgment lies on the stage performance.
And the coach' job is to make sure they do well on stage.
Best mentor hands down, she can tell how long you have been practicing for how many hours. She can not only spot mistakes but also can calculate instantly how much effort was put into the dance routine. and my other best dancer of course Wang Yibo as well.

Mentor Lisa is a robot. No one can stare at her eyes. She is doing her job very very honestly and perfectly. Really she is a genius robot mentor.
For those here who haven’t watched it , these girls are actually extremely dedicated to this dance , one of them actually strained her neck when trying this the day before stage rehearsal but went on anyway .
It’s good for them because Lisa teaches the trainees base on her experience and that experience would bring them a bright outcome just like our Lily. She’s doing the roght thing as a mentor and i’m proud.

Lisa really reminded me back then when my instructor will ask me if I have studied enough and I’ll just stare and not answer. But that’s the case, these kind of mentors r the ones who just want u to be the best cause I have to look at what I am rn, it’s bc of those mentors who will push u to those capabilities that u didn’t even know of having.

Honey10tion Up She wasnt yelling but she was being very strict, same kinda thing. I didnt see encouragement and she just said “do it again” many times rather than showing and trying to be more interactive. I love lisa but her teaching is a bit eh. She teaches people out of fear and not respect.

Choosing Lisa as a dance mentor is a good decision. She has the eyes of an eagle. Not to mention, she's been in the girls' positions before.
