Despite the changes in specs, in my opinion, I’d still go for the iPod 6th generation. It’s been my daily driver for 3 years or so. I do agree that the battery life is not that good on it, but other than that it gets the job done - texting, streaming songs, videos, playing games, transfer files, etc. I also text and take most of my calls through my iPod when connected to WIFI, so my phone is pretty much free most of the time. Honestly speaking, it’s a great little device, and if you have an idea to buy an iPod, I’d say go for the 6th gen - better to spend your money wisely than to spend more on something with very minor changes (:
I have the blue version of the iPod touch gen 7 and I dropped it recently on hard wood floor and it stopped working, there were line showing up. After that I charged it and it started working again, I took it to an Apple store anyway to make sure it didn’t have any problems and they gave me a new one. The only problem is when you drop it on hard floor it stops working and then you have to 20 minutes or so before it starts working again. If yours stops working I highly recommend you charge it and maybe book an appointment with Apple. 😅 Otherwise it was spot on. Great review!
i dropped my silver ipod 7 from about a three foot height and it showed black and white lines, too. i let it sit on overnight and it started to work, but it showed LCD lines on darker colors. now it functions perfectly and lacks the lines. i’m glad it still works because i got it off of amazon 😅😂
Audria Oh :) great to hear it’s working again. I hate that it shuts off immediately after dropping it. I always think I broke it but it works fine after removing the case and charging. Sensitive things they are -iPods. Mini phones for the young ones- 😂

If you have an iPhone, you can send SMS and call through the iPod when connected to WiFi. Texts and calls from iPhones can be forwarded to any other Apple device. :) If your iPod is your only device or only Apple device, you can only use FaceTime/iMessage. It's basically like a mini iPad!

i still have my original 2013 ipod touch 5th gen, im in the process of changing the screen on it before i continue using it , alot of people have asked me why i still use a ipod when my phone does the same i just give them the same answer : nostalgia , i got my ipod touch 5th gen as a birthday gift back in 2013 & everywhere i went my ipod went with me , it just means too much for me to just get rid of it , its like a vintage car for me it just means too much for me to get rid of it , maybe when the battery doesnt last anymore ill get rid of it but until then ill continue using my old workhorse .

Got my ipod touch 7th generation and set it up, Synced to iTunes, music OK, music videos OK but can't find access to tv programmes or non music videos. There is no video app loaded. Can I download an app to watch the films/tv programmes that I've synced?

The Ipod Touch 7th generation is a good device. It has an A10 fusion chip, 2 gb of ram, and you can now choose 256 gb (even though I doubt anyone is gonna waste $400 on that option :I). But what's messed up is the fact that Apple didn't remove the dang home button, and most specs are exactly the same as the 6th generation ipod touch. Apple did bring a good upgrade to the ipod touch line, but, they didn't do so much.

Nice video. However, since you had the six generation iPod, when you go from iPod to iPod, it gives you the option to back up your old iPod and transfer it to the new one. Instead of needing to select your iPod back up manually, it would automatically do another one which your new iPod which you can just restore from.

I just tried to use an ipod touch 6 when a friend wanted me to help him replace its swollen battery. It produce nice sound, more separation and soundstage compared to iphone 6, but I still love the ipod mini or touch 1 more because I love their sound which is powered by a wolfson chip. Maybe someday if I could I want to compare the touch 7 with iphone 7 or my ipod mini to know what pros and cons brought by the touch 7 especially in sound

Hi, thanks for your comment my main disappointment in this iPod is its battery life it is very poor when using graphic intense apps, with the update to iOS 13 showed an improvement but still could do better, if using to listen to music it should last you longer then gaming but I would wait if I was you as Apple could do better and believe they will.

Kinda wish that the iPod touch has a version without wifi and cameras, and can download apps when connected to the computer. Sometimes I go to competitions where I am locked before my turn to go, and I am not allowed to take pictures after my turns.
The iPhone X’s take on iOS basically renders the home button unnecessary and I’d much rather a zero top and bottom bezel than symmetrical large bezels to house the front facing camera. Shrinking the height and then expanding the width for a better in-hand feel. OLED Display. 215GB, 512GB and 1TB options. Ability to download all streaming files into finder playlists. This is what we need in the next iPod.

No, as long as you have wifi you are able to do things you normally can with internet connection. The only apple product I have is an ipod and it works fine

Hey, basically with wifi you can make and receive FaceTime audio and video calls and use iMessage and other message services, you have a lot of iOS 13 services too the iPhone has a better camera and more power to perform tasks and the battery will last longer but the iPod is a lot cheaper then then iPhone thou.

The Ipod Touch 7th generation is a good device. It has an A10 fusion chip, 2 gb of ram, and you can now choose 256 gb (even though I doubt anyone is gonna waste $400 on that option :I). But what's messed up is the fact that Apple didn't remove the dang home button, and most specs are exactly the same as the 6th generation ipod touch. Apple did bring a good upgrade to the ipod touch line, but, they didn't do so much.
Hey thanks for your comment, this is all true and Apple released this device so it can run iOS 13 and use some AR apps as previous model wouldn't be able to run these apps or iOS 13.

I would defiantly say iOS 14, iOS 15 is a couple of years away and think have new iPod touch model by then.

Nice video. However, since you had the six generation iPod, when you go from iPod to iPod, it gives you the option to back up your old iPod and transfer it to the new one. Instead of needing to select your iPod back up manually, it would automatically do another one which your new iPod which you can just restore from.

I just tried to use an ipod touch 6 when a friend wanted me to help him replace its swollen battery. It produce nice sound, more separation and soundstage compared to iphone 6, but I still love the ipod mini or touch 1 more because I love their sound which is powered by a wolfson chip. Maybe someday if I could I want to compare the touch 7 with iphone 7 or my ipod mini to know what pros and cons brought by the touch 7 especially in sound

Hi, thanks for your comment my main disappointment in this iPod is its battery life it is very poor when using graphic intense apps, with the update to iOS 13 showed an improvement but still could do better, if using to listen to music it should last you longer then gaming but I would wait if I was you as Apple could do better and believe they will.

Kinda wish that the iPod touch has a version without wifi and cameras, and can download apps when connected to the computer.

Hey, basically with wifi you can make and receive FaceTime audio and video calls and use iMessage and other message services, you have a lot of iOS 13 services too the iPhone has a better camera and more power to perform tasks and the battery will last longer but the iPod is a lot cheaper then then iPhone thou.
